Author's note: I know that I tried to challenge myself with getting this one out to everyone in one week. But, being born when I was, I was double whammied with both my birthday and Father's Day, so my schedule piled up quickly!
On top of which, I had already finished this chapter once, but lost nearly the whole damn thing a freak accident! Thankfully, I had saved an earlier copy of the story to a backup drive. Sure, I didn't possess three quarters of what I had originally written, but it was better than nothing! Anyway, that's enough blurbing about the delays. Now, shall we begin?

Jason was drifting in another dream, just enjoying the nothingness of sleep, when a ringing sound woke him from his slumber. Blinking against the evening light, Jason sat up and as he looked for the source of the sound. It continued to ring, and he shook his head to get his bearings. He finally spotted the source of the noise and saw that it was his cell phone. He answered it, seeing that it was Liz calling him.
"Hey Liz. What's up?"
"Hey there Jay. I'm wondering if you could pop on by the house? I'm on my way home and I've had a long and trying day and need some cuddles," Liz said in a cutesy voice.
"Why not me and Amy? If you've had that rough of a day?" he wondered.
"She's busy with her mom making dinner. Can you come over?" she pleaded.
"Sure, as long as I can get a piece of whatever those two are making for dinner," he bargained.
"Done! They're making deep dish Lasagna, so we loaded this dish with everything!" she told him.
"I'll be over in about twenty minutes!" he said, coming wide awake at the mention of one his favorites dishes.
"Well, someone likes Lasagna!" Liz giggled.
"Liz, you do not understand how much I love this dish! I'll be there soon!"
"Just walk on in when you get to my home. Amy and Eva know you're coming. I'll see you soon!" Liz said before she hung up.
Jason put his phone down and jumped up to get dressed. He put on a pair of walking shorts and a black Green Lantern T-shirt, before grabbing his wallet, keys and phone. Sliding into a pair of flip-flops, he locked the door behind himself before heading downstairs. Once he'd cleared the lobby, he headed for the nearby bus stop to catch the bus to Liz's neighbourhood.
He lucked out and got to the stop just as a bus was pulling up. Jason boarded it and found himself a comfy seat to wait for his stop. He looked about the bus and saw an assortment of people riding it, none of them familiar. He took a beat and reached out with his power, seeing if he could sense anything about the surrounding people. The feedback he picked up was much like what he had found that morning, minus the hungry Latina.
Closing his Gaian senses once more, he looked out the window and passed the time by watching the landscape change as the bus went by. Jason was glad that the city he lived in was at least trying to be in tune with nature. There were many parks around, and many trees along the streets. Though he longed to be back out in nature, he still enjoyed his life in the city.
The bus halting interrupted his thoughts, and he realized that he missed his stop! Jason bolted out the doors and hopped onto the sidewalk and took a moment to gain his bearings. He realized then that he hadn't overshot as much as he feared. He recognized the area and walked towards Liz's house, which was only about four minutes away.
He walked up to the address and ambled on up the garden path to the front door. He noted Liz's car in the driveway and figured she must have arrived just before he did. Jason walked through the front door and announced himself as he came through the doorway. He saw Eva come out of the kitchen to greet him. She was wearing a nice blue patterned sundress and a flour-dusted apron.
"How are you doing Eva? Settling in OK?"
"Very well, thank you Jason!" she replied with a smile.
"Mmmmmm! That lasagna you're cooking smells delightful!" he grinned, and his stomach rumbled its agreement.
"Why thank you! Though it is a team effort between Amy and I to make it. I'm certain that you will enjoy dinner tonight!" she told him.
"I'm sure that I will! Where's Liz?" he asked.
"Upstairs. Poor thing looks like she's had a rough day," she told him as she bustled back to the kitchen. Jason spotted Amy in the kitchen, wearing a sapphire-colored cami and a pair or black leggings. He didn't know what it was about the Marston women, but the color blue just seemed to agree with them. Putting thoughts of them out of his head, Jason jaunted up the stairs and found his way to Liz's room.

Eva took a beat to get a good eyeful of Jason when he was moving up the stairs and smiled. She thought he was a handsome boy and well put together, as she appraised his musculature. A few raunchy thoughts flitted into her mind as she went back to working on dinner. Some of these ideas, she hadn't experienced in some time, while others were of the variety she had hoped Wayne would have been open to.
"Mother!" Amy ground out while flipping a semi disgusted look at her.
"What?"
"You're doing that thing where you speak your thoughts again!" Amy said, shaking her while tending the sauce.
"And that's a bad thing?" Eva scoffed while she was busy boiling the fresh pasta.
"When you say things like, 'I'd like him to pillage me like a hun and ride his joystick until I can't walk straight,' then yeah, it's a bad thing!" Amy glowered. Her face burning in embarrassment, Eva busied herself with the noodles, making sure that she didn't overcook them.
