Josh was almost asleep when he heard a ring from getting a text on his phone. "Hey, Josh, its Jordan."
Jordan. A person he has sort of kept contact with, but hasn't heard from in a while. His thoughts started to revert to some fun times they have had in the past, but Jordan was married now, and he quickly pushed them away. What would he want at this hour?
"Hey, Jordan, its good to hear from you, how is married life?" Josh replied, inquiring to know what he wanted. It was late. But, Josh was inquisitive.
"Its great! I know we haven't seen or talked in a while, but my wife wants to meet you. I have always considered you a dear friend, even though we really haven't kept in touch. Are you up for it? Maybe this Friday, we can cook dinner and catch up. Bring your favorite wine if you want. If this Friday doesn't work, then let met know of a day that will."
Josh thought for a moment. His boyfriend would be out of town visiting his family for the next 2 weeks, and he had no plans. He quickly responded "sure" and Jordan responded happily. Josh actually first met Jordan on a hookup site. They had several sexual encounters together, just for fun, but Josh still considered Jordan a friend and cared about him. He still followed him on social media and kept an interest in his life.

On Friday, Josh brought his favorite red wine and drove to Jordan and Anna's place. He had never been there before; Jordan lived in a different apartment when they were having their fun.
Jordan answered the door. "Oh, Josh! Its been so long. So good to see you friend!"
Jordan looked even more stunning then the last time Josh saw him. His red hair was styled in a sexy current look, and he had grown out his beard. They hugged, and Josh entered their apartment. Jordan finished his bite of food, and said "I should have had you over sooner. Yes, Anna knows about our past. But she also knows how much I care about you, and what a great friend you have been to me over the years."
Josh thought a bit before responding, "So, she knows you and I.... You know."
"Yes," Jordan responded. "And the fact that you didn't ghost me after we parted ways. You kept in contact. It meant a lot."
Josh was blushing. Yes, he cared about Jordan, but at the time, Jordan didn't want a relationship, and Josh met someone who would become his boyfriend and someone he loved. There were no hard feelings.
"But," Jordan said, while glancing at Anna. "We have a proposition for you. Feel free to say no, and this is not the main reason we had you over, but Anna wasn't sure."
Josh thought for a moment.
