Part 2
A New Beginning
After breaking up with Raven, Sara went into a depression. She missed her job working as a Dominatrix at the Fetish Chamber, but the bridge was burnt, and she could never go back.
There was another dungeon.
Mistress C, Sara's former Head Mistress, had talked trash when a new dungeon had opened called Safehaven Studios. She said the head Mistress was unattractive and many offensive things I do not agree with or care to repeat.
It turns out Safehaven Studios was now at the old Passive Arts location. After the property was rebuilt following the arson, Safehaven's owner Mistress Azule had convinced the Passive arts property owner to allow her to start a new dungeon there. Safehaven was about 15-20 minutes from our house. It was perfect.
After months of Sara wallowing in self-pity I convinced her to apply to work at Safehaven Studios. She almost didn't show up for her interview. She was so low and down on herself in confidence.
Sara drove to the dungeon and parked her car in the parking lot. Then decided she was not feeling up to it. I had to convince her over the phone in her car in the parking lot just to go inside and try. I gave her a heartfelt speech reminding her she was the Fetish Chamber's top Dominant. She was the woman hiring Dominatrices two months ago. She could do this with her eyes closed.
She would go on to become one of the top professionals at this dungeon as well. Obviously, she got the job.
Sara needed a new name. Since an early age I had created my own video games and one of the recurring characters from my games was a Dominatrix named Mistress Tetra. I used this character in erotic fiction I wrote for years. The name Tetra comes from weed. Tetra is the T in THC; THC is the active ingredient in weed that gets you high.
I am a kinkster don't get me wrong but my number one Mistress has always been weed.
When I suggested Sara use the name Mistress Tetra and explained the meaning behind it, she was sold. From that day on she would be known as Mistress Tetra.
Initially Safehaven wasn't as profitable as Sara's previous dungeon and the two of us had to come up with ideas to get clients and make money. I would have to regularly support Sara financially in times when business was slow. There were weeks when she made thousands and then weeks where she made nothing. I always gave her advice and did as much as possible to help her make her career successful because truthfully if it wasn't I was stuck paying for everything.
At the Fetish Chamber, Mistress C had a long list of regular clients and handled advertising. The staff was limited to five or six Mistresses. Safehaven had more than four times the number of Mistresses on staff. At Safehaven the employees were dependent on advertising and bringing in clients themselves. Safehaven also did not allow Strap On play or many of the other taboo fetishes that the Fetish Chamber did.
Another Domme working at Safehaven named Miss Vaughn quickly took a liking to Sara and showed her the ropes of surviving there. She even helped Sara build her first website. Miss Vaughn was an older Domme who catered to clients who enjoyed BBWs. She was very talented and a natural Dominant. She was also a genius with web design and SEO.
She acted like the Dungeon mother looking out for and protecting the newcomers.
Miss Vaughn was one of the first of Sara's new coworkers I met. She was always very nice to me and would flirt a little bit once in a while. She said you could tell I was submissive from a mile away.
After about six months Miss Vaughn moved to San Diego, and I had to teach myself web design so I could manage Sara's website in Miss Vaughn's absence.
I wasn't allowed at Safehaven during business hours as much as I was at the Fetish Chamber. They had professional female submissives on staff and house slaves, so they didn't need any submissive test dummies like me for training new employees. And they certainly had no use for cum cubes. There was a level of elitism as far as who was allowed to hang out there during business hours.
I was just the boyfriend of a Dominatrix. My experience at the Fetish Chamber earned me no credits. I think most people did not believe me.
The only time I was really allowed to go to Safehaven was when they hosted events on the weekends. The major difference between Safehaven and the Fetish Chamber was that Safehaven was much larger (7000 sqft) and hosted events on weekends. Safehaven was heavily rooted in the kink community.
The best way I could describe the Kink Community would be to compare it to being in high school. You had the different clicks or groups hanging out at the different dungeons. There were five dungeons in Los Angeles at the time.
Then you had the experienced talented kinksters in the popular group. Everyone at all the dungeons knew the popular group. They were the performers, the successful Mistresses, educators and veterans of the scene.
Prior to working at Safehaven my girlfriend was relatively unknown within the kink community so many of the seasoned veterans at Safehaven doubted her qualifications and skills behind her back. No one had heard of Mistress Tetra.
Safehaven
One perk of Sara working at Safehaven was she was given free entry and a plus one to every event at Safehaven There were events almost every weekend. We started going to all the events and Sara and I made it our mission to prove she deserved to be there, and she was one of the best.
At each event we started taking over a playroom. We would set out all our toys and Sara would play with anyone brave enough to ask. Originally it was almost in spite of some of the doubters but over time this started to attract a crowd, and we started building our own group of friends within the community.
Years ago, when we had first attended events at Passive Arts we had been treated like outsiders. Being the regulars at every Safehaven party gave us a chance to change things. We made it our mission to make friends with anyone and everyone. We made everyone feel welcome.
