Foreword: I haven't been writing much for Literotica lately because I've been working on a novel. It's not going to be purely erotic, though I hope to have enough to keep it exciting. I am considering doing a sort of parallel series to reflect what's happening in the novel like a 'behind the scenes' series. In short, when the novel does the 'fade out' to a sex scene, I'll do a 'fade in' here to describe all the juicy details. We'll see how it goes. I'm 43 chapters into my novel, so not ready to publish yet.
Stay tuned.
NOTE: All characters are 18+, and fictional. Any similarities to actual people is purely coincidental.

Katherine always hated her name. It sounded like something you'd call an old lady. She preferred Kiki; a nickname she acquired when she was just a little baby. Her brother Clay was only a year older than her, and it was, apparently, the best he could do when trying to say 'Katherine'. Even Kathy didn't roll off that little tongue. So, the name stuck.
Clay was Kiki's idol growing up. He taught her to read, to fish, to play catch, and a host of other things children did. Later as they grew, he spent less time with his 'kid sister' and more with his friends doing rugged things she didn't have a prayer at keeping up with. It was part of her nature to compete and prove herself. Even in something as insignificant as raking leaves in the yard. She always tried to make the biggest pile. But it was the games she really wanted to win.
Board Games were one of the battlegrounds she used to show her brother up at something. Especially the games of strategy and tactics. Go and Chess were her forte, but Clay got bored with them, and when they were teens, he stopped accepting her challenges.
When Clay graduated and went away to college, Kiki realized just how much she missed her older brother. She missed sitting on his bed and talking until after midnight, falling asleep with her feet on his lap while they watched movies or binged a series over night. Most of all, she missed the games. She wanted to win to impress her big brother, hoping he'd be as proud of her as she was of him.
He came home for the winter break, and their reunion was great. Clay was even bigger and stronger than ever, and Kiki had filled out a bit too. She traded her thick, black framed glasses for a new more mature pair that transformed her kid-like face into something that made Clay think of a hot librarian. Her breasts were never much to write home about, but they were becoming noticeably larger.
"Where'd you get those!" He laughed when they were alone.
"They were a gift for my birthday." she quipped. "Like 'em?" She raised her arms and did a boobie shake that just barely made the firm little mounds jiggle under the t-shirt she was wearing.
Clay laughed and nodded. "Very nice!" Then he frowned. "Hey, sorry I missed your party. Was it fun?"
Kiki shrugged. "I got taken out for a nice dinner with Robbie." she said. "Did you know it used to be legal to drink at 18?"
Clay snickered. "Yeah, we both missed that boat." They'd both been allowed to drink wine and beer at home. Their parents were of the belief that if you didn't teach kids to drink responsibly, they'd drink anyway, just irresponsibly. Better to be safe.
"How about a game of Go?" Kiki asked.
Clay wrinkled his nose and shook his head. "You always win." he scoffed.
Kiki giggled and nodded. "Exactly! Chess then?"
"Nah... pass." he said. "Got some friends coming by later. We got into D&D over last semester. It's pretty cool."
"What's D&D?"
"Role Playing." Clay explained. "It's kind of like telling a story, but everyone gets to play one of the characters."
Kiki frowned. "What, like a stage play?"
"No, like... well, let me show you." Clay got out his college books, and among them were a few that definitely didn't look like books for class. The covers were more like what you'd find on a fantasy novel.
He opened the books and started to explain how it all worked. That one person was the 'Dungeon Master' and controlled where the story would go, and all the players took control of a character and made decisions on what that character would do in the situation.
"Like, let's say the group is trying to get into a castle with a bunch of goblins guarding it." Clay said. "Do we storm the front gate and fight through, or scale the walls?"
"Why not have someone sneak in and open the gate from the inside?" Kiki asked. That's how they did it in movies sometimes.
Clay grinned and nodded. "Yeah, that's the idea."
Kiki beamed at him. For a moment there, she felt his approval. That always felt great. "So, then what?"
"Well, then we use dice to see if what our characters want to do succeeds or not. Like, say you want your character to sneak in. First you have to scale the wall, so that would be a skill check. Then you want to sneak down to the door unseen. That's another skill. Some skills your character would be better at than others, like Wizards would be better at intelligence checks, because they have high intelligence. A thief would be best for sneaking around. Warriors are better at fighting. See?"
She did, and nodded. "Do you get to decide who you play?"
Clay grinned. "Sure. But it's better if you do it with a group and play something the party needs. It's not great to go off with all warriors."
"So, what does your group need?"
Clay blinked at her. "You want to join the party?"
She shrugged. "Can I? It sounds like fun. I'll try it."
For the next hour Clay helped Kiki make a thief character since their party didn't have one. She liked the idea of sneaking into places and striking from the shadows like some ninja warrior. She helped Clay set up the table for the game, providing coasters so her mom wouldn't get pissed about water stains on the table, and bows full of snacks.
Chris had been Clay's oldest friend since elementary school, and they were like brothers now. Where Clay was big and broad, Chris was smaller and wiry. He didn't play football like Clay, but he was a star on the soccer team. He was also a bookworm, like her, very studious, and on his way to earning an engineering degree.
Justin was Clay's friend from the high school stage crew. He was big all around, overweight, and tall. But he had a spectacular sense of humor, and was a seriously talented artist. To see his work, you'd wonder why he wasn't majoring in art instead of chemistry.
Andie was a jock like Clay. They both played football at their respective high schools, and were both majoring in mathematics. They met at a college rally, and had become fast friends ever since.
They all looked like they belonged together, like a team. Kiki, on the other hand, was like the odd duck. Slim, just five foot four inches, and hardly an ounce over 110 lbs, she felt like a guppy in the shark tank.
Once they got everything laid out, Chris let Kiki introduce 'Kikidra, the Thief' to the party. She even attempted a drawing of her, but it was pretty bad. Justin tried to have some nice words for her pitiful attempt before he offered to draw one for her. While they played, he sketched and asked Kiki for what her character should look like.
Kiki described everything from her leather armor to her bow, daggers, and short sword.
"Yeah, but what does she look like?" Justin asked. "Hair, eyes, height, weight. Is she young, middle aged, old?"
