Her summer classes finish a couple of weeks before the Fall classes, and she gets a little respite and time to spend with her extended family. Over the course of the next several weeks, a lot of things happen to the Ericksons, plus Bull and Caitlyn. Caitlyn accidentally lets the cat out of the bag on Alice's pregnancy. Alice and Adam also go to the OB for their first ultrasound. The child is healthy and beautiful. Alice and Adam receive the first 'picture' of the growing life inside. The love and huge grins they share say it all. Both loving parents-to-be take the pictures to their respective jobs and share the miracle. Everyone is very supportive and happy for the family. Ironically, Brad notes that Adam's happiness is above what would be expected of one man raising another man's child.
Brad pulls Adam aside to his office and asks, "Adam, is this child actually yours and not some 'Speed date dude'? I can understand if that is the case. Alice is a beautiful woman, and I can plainly see the love you share."
