Thank you everyone for the positive response to the first episode of Kodie & Martin.
As I mentioned in the first instalment, I'm going to try and use some of the multitude of started stories and turn them into episodes of Kodie & Martin. Episodes 1, 2, & 3, are going to be slightly more narrative than episodic, as they are setting up the characters. After that though, it will definitely turn away from the narrative approach.
At the time of submitting this episode, I have not started writing episode 3, but have planned it out. Hopefully the writing flows as quickly as this one did.
As always anyone in described/graphic sexual acts is over the age of 18, and consenting. This is a work of pure fiction, from the author's mind.
I hope you enjoy!
Episode 2
Part 1
It was a little awkward being found in bed with my mom the next morning. Dad came stumbling into their bedroom bleary-eyed, though with a big smile on his face.
"Ha! There you two are. I was beginning to wonder," Dad said, wandering over to his dresser.
Waking, I tightened my arms around the athletic body in my arms. When I realized who it was, I pulled away, putting some space between us.
My mom glanced down at her naked body, and I did the same. Though we'd been found in bed, Dad didn't yet know about our nakedness, thanks to the blankets.
In a panic, I mouthed to Mom, "What do we do?"
Mom looked around searching for a solution, then her eyes fell on her husband, as he pulled out his clothes for the day. "Mark, are you having a shower?"
Dad glanced over at the bed, and I couldn't meet his gaze. I saw him smile out of the corner of my eye.
"I need one after last night. I think I slept in someone's spilt beer."
Mom rolled her eyes. "I think I'll join you then. Go ahead and get it started. I'll be right in."
At my mother's words, I couldn't help but look and see my dad's reaction. He had a gleam in his eye, and I felt a pang of jealousy that I had no right to feel.
Without a word, Dad went to the ensuite bathroom, and started the shower running.
As soon as Mom was sure that Dad was gone she leaned over and planted a scorching kiss on my lips. Staring right into my eyes, she said, "I love you. We need to talk, but we can't do it when there is anyone around. Wait until I'm in there, then get dressed and out of here. Okay?"
I nodded. "I love you too. No matter what."
We shared another kiss, and then Mom tossed the blankets back and strode purposefully for the bathroom, naked in all her glory. She glanced back over her shoulder as she closed the door behind her, her lips twisting up in a smile.
I ran my hands through my hair, as I flopped back on the bed groaning.
Though last night had been an accident, and I never thought in a million years that I would have had sex with my mother, last night
did
happen. And I wanted it to happen again... at least I thought I did.
With a sigh, I did what I was told, dressing and heading out into the house at large to see what damage had been done.

For the next week, neither Mom nor I could find enough time alone to be able to discuss what happened, or what would happen. Everyone's schedules just seemed to be lined up so that we were never alone. That isn't to say that we didn't have any time alone. Just a few minutes here or there.
Throughout the week, Mom and I shared our affections. I made sure to give her lots of hugs and kisses; nothing that would be considered inappropriate between a mother and son, but more than what we ever had in the past. Mom also showed her affection with little touches. If we were in the kitchen, she would brush past me. When handing me something, her hand would caress mine. Watching TV in the evening, she would sit next to me on the couch, and lean in close.
It was a little confusing, not being able to talk things through. I wanted to know without uncertainty what was going on between us.
That Thursday morning, I jogged down the stairs into the kitchen. Dad was plating some eggs and bacon, while Mom poured coffee. Mom immediately grabbed another mug and poured for me.
"You're late. Skillet's hot if you want to cook some eggs," Dad said.
I shook my head. "Thanks anyway. I prefer cereal for breakfast. After all these years of eating it every morning. I wouldn't want to change my habit now," I replied, grabbing a bowl.
He just laughed bringing their food to the dining room.
Once I joined them and began pouring my cereal, Mom spoke up.
"So, I've been thinking. I've got some vacation time saved up at work, and I could use a break. My boss has been offering me the use of a cabin up north. How about we take an extra long weekend and spend four or five days together, just us?"
My eyes met hers, and I could see the true meaning in her words.
Dad's fork stopped halfway to his mouth. "Kodie, I was hoping to go to a kegger this weekend. Dan and Willy are planning on going." He lowered his fork, as he glanced between Mom and me. "Don't let me stop you two from going though."
Mom and I glanced at him. I didn't know whether to be happy and excited or pissed. Honestly, I felt both. I was glad that Mom and I would finally have the chance to talk in depth, and spend time together. I felt pissed that Dad would rather go to some college party rather than spend time with his wife and son; especially considering that said wife expressed a desire to spend time together.
While I tried to control the flood of conflicting emotions, Mom replied while looking at me, "If you're sure that it wouldn't bother you, I think we will go. Assuming, of course, you want to, Martin?"
I reached across the table, and took Mom's hand. "Absolutely!"
She smiled. "Good. I'll arrange everything today at work."
Dad smiled. Seeming not to notice the byplay between Mom and me, he went back to clearing his plate of food.
Mom squeezed my hand, and we finished our breakfast like normal.

"Gawd the sky looks bad. Are we almost there?" I asked, leaning over the steering wheel and looking up at the angry purple clouds blowing in our direction.
We'd been on the road for the past three hours heading for the cabin. I could tell Mom wanted to talk about us as much as I did, but by unspoken agreement, we waited until we got to the cabin.
Mom looked down at the page of directions her boss had given her. "I think so. If these are accurate, there is just one more turn. Onto the lane, and then we have to cross a bridge onto the property."
Sitting back in my seat, I glanced over at her, before turning my eyes back to the road.
"I still find it hard to believe that there are places without addresses in this day and age."
Mom laughed. "I was surprised when Tina told me that too." She glanced down at the page again for a moment then continued, "Slow down. It looks like this is our turn. The directions say to turn right at a massive oak tree shaped like a demon."
I nodded my acknowledgement of the demonic tree and followed her instructions. The tree likely had been struck by lightning at some point, as the central trunk had broken away leaving a jagged scar with a blackened hollow. The lower branches reached out like arms, and someone had even put red bicycle reflectors up where eyes would be to make the tree look more imposing. With the wind causing the giant tree to sway it truly looked demonic.
As soon as we were on the seldom-used dirt lane, the rain started to fall. Within moments it was a deluge with strong gusts of wind buffeting the car. Even with the wipers on full speed, I was still forced to slow the car to a crawl due to the lack of visibility.
When a particularly violent gust of wind shook the car, Mom's hand shot out and grabbed my thigh. Her fingers gripped my pants tightly in fear.
I wanted to take her hand in mine and comfort her, but needed both hands on the steering wheel. I drove us along slowly.
I slowed the car further when the trees seemed to open up in front of us.
A flash of lightning helped brighten the scene before us. We'd reached the bridge. A deep gorge spread out away from us, the bottom a tumult of swirling brown water. A simple beam bridge, composed of several logs tied together, spanned the gap.
I glanced at Mom.
She looked right back and nodded. "This is what Tina described. She said it's safe."
I didn't know if I agreed with the sentiment, but nodded.
I kept the car at idle speed, and inched across the bridge, breathing a sigh of relief when we were on solid ground again.
A little further up the lane, and I pulled us to a stop in front of the cabin.
We both stared out the windshield at the small log cabin before us. I know it wasn't what I was expecting, and based on Mom's reaction, I don't think it was what she was expecting either. It looked like it belonged in the 1800s. There was a latch for a doorknob, and it looked as though glass dinner plates had been used as the windows. The roof was low, and I couldn't tell if it was shingle or thatch due to the moss growing on it.
"Are you sure this is the place?"
Mom nodded, not looking at me.
"Maybe spending the weekend here isn't the best idea. Let's just stay tonight and head out tomorrow once the storm passes," Mom suggested.
I nodded my agreement. "There's no way we can safely drive back now, so staying tonight is the only option."
After a moment she reached into her pocket and pulled out a brass key.
I reached over and took it from her.
"Wait! Martin, I can open it."
I smirked at her. "Not a chance am I letting you spend any more time in this storm than necessary. I'll just be a moment."
Unbuckling, I leaned over and kissed her, before opening my door and rushing into the rain and wind. I was soaked through instantly.
Thanks to the brightness from the headlights I managed to find the lock. It was a small brass padlock attached to a bracket in the top corner of the door.
