In the future, Martian Kaiju have begun to emerge from Mars's ice caps. These large creatures capable of space faring have started drifting towards Earth's orbit. The Vector Administration, Earth's leaders, couldn't push them back with traditional spacecraft. They had to develop Space-faring Dive-mechs. A revolutionary kind of military ship combining full-dive VR technology with Mech-tech to create machines that would become like one's body when piloted. Pilots would share all five senses with their robot bodies while fighting the martians. For this reason, the mass produced models are androgynous, to prevent pilots developing body-dysmorphia, however some special models become gendered in certain cases where special functions are necessary in order to avoid pilots developing attachments to body parts they don't have.
One such Dive-Mech is the Type-B Mothership. As the name suggests, in order to preserve the mental health of pilots, these must be piloted by female soldiers. These models come equipped with a mechanical "Womb" for deploying drones. These mechs were developed to counter the minor-brood-mother type martians. There's no telling when these might show up in combat, as they can look identical to any of the many types of kaiju recorded thus far. The only thing the Vector Administration can do is make sure a Type-BM is there when one reveals itself. Like the Type-BM, a minor-brood-mother, or MBM, deploys a series of giant mites that will rip Dive-Mechs apart. Nadia is a Pilot of one such Type-BMs, and after being separated from her squad and depleted of fuel, she's on a crash course for Martian soil.
Just before entering the atmosphere of mars, she is caught by a squid-leviathan. She thinks this is going to be the end of her for sure, but she notices the Martian may be as beaten up as she is. A nasty bleed is leaving trails of purple and green fluids with a consistency like syrup out into deep space. It just looks at Nadia for a moment, who readies her rifle ready to blow chunks out of the martian, when a deep eerie tone plays through the static on her long-severed comms. Nadia has a feeling like the creature is begging for mercy. And hell, with her comms severed and her fuel depleted she probably should be doing the same. Nadia stows her rifle back over her shoulder. A similar, slightly more pleasant tone plays through the static. She cycles channels to find where the tone is loudest and then replies, "Is this how you communicate?"
The squid recoils a bit, the eerie tone plays again. Nadia puts her hands up to convey lack of aggression, and then points to herself, "Na-dee-Ah"
Through the comms channel comes a high tone that rises, followed by an alto tone that descends, ending with a flat high tone. Nadia figures that was probably the creature's best try at her name. She points at the creature and carefully speaks the syllables of her next question, "You are?"
A flat alto tone plays followed by a tone a single note higher. Nadia tries to mimic the monster, "ooo-AA?"
The monster repeats her tones, but flails happily. Nadia giggles, "ooo-AA. Can I call you Luna? Like loo-NAA?"
The monster, Luna, flails happily again. Luna then grabs Nadia by the waist. A single tentacle points to her belly, while a second tentacle slithers between her legs. The Dive-Mech translates the feeling as if it slid across her pussy. She didn't inherently mind at first, since she was used to "birthing" her drones in combat, but then it tried to probe inside the entrance there, causing Nadia to throw her arms down in protest which made Luna recoil back out of her. Nadia would be lying to herself if it didn't feel *kinda* good.
Luna again gestures to Nadia's belly and entrance, without entering this time, and then gestures to a cloaca like sphincter hidden behind her tentacles. Nadia realised Luna is an MBM, and thinks Nadia is like her. The kaiju don't know that the humans aren't their mechs. Luna then gestured to her hemorrhaging wound, and then gestured into deep space. Nadia replied by gesturing to herself, the wound, and then deep space, as if to convey "I help you, you help me?"
