"The trouble with matriarchy, besides the obvious injustices of it, is that it depends entirely on the goodwill, meekness, and sufferance of men. The moment that this assent is withdrawn, the ladies who pretend to be in control quickly discover how entirely helpless they are. Any sort of hierarchy that cannot defend itself or preserve its own existence without relying on the abject and voluntary compliance of someone else is neither natural, nor practical, nor sensible, nor logical. Any matriarchy, by its very nature, is a house of cards just waiting to topple over." - Col. Jack Harrison

"So, my friends, I humbly accept your nomination to be the next President of the United States!" Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont stood and accepted the Democratic nomination to be the next President of the United States.
We all watched with some fascination, of course, seeing the old pinko goat get his moment in the Sun at last. While he stood a better chance than Biden when one compared head-to-head poll match-ups, there were certainly factors that had yet to be considered. The economy in the United States was a mess, due to a variety of factors, but there was a growing influx of capital from British expats like myself who had found ways to save their assets from confiscation.
I personally thought that the same factors that had buoyed Sanders' chances would also benefit Trump. One was the collapse of the Warren candidacy from both the exodus of feminists and the increasing mistrust by even progressive male voters for female candidates. Another aspect of this was the general, "swing voter" antipathy to anything resembling feminism these days. It was kind of a "kiss of death" for many candidates to be too feminist in their leanings nowadays. The fiasco that was gynocracy in England was enough to make even plenty of female swing voters leery of too much association with such things.
The arrests of Cardi B, Beyonce Knowles, and Asia Argento, among others, had brought the alleged plot to take over the United States by force and establish a matriarchy through a violent revolution or coup into people's eyes. Leaked videos went viral of various feminists talking a good game about how they planned to take over by hook or by crook, and do in the United States and Canada what they did in Great Britain. Six ministers of the Canadian Liberal government of Justin Trudeau, all women, had to resign and be replaced in a hurry. The Conservative Party of Canada was very quick to pounce on that, unlike the New Democrats, who apparently had too many malignant feminists among their leaders, too.
