Invasion

Over the next five years Frank was able to enlist recruiters for South America and Africa. He covered the rest of Europe, including Turkey. It had now blanketed most of the earth. A review with the computer revealed that they now have 1.5 million.

The first bad news for the ranch was the death of the mother. She had just wasted away, and the computer had allowed her to die when the body was causing too much pain. Elizabeth had the farm hands put in a cemetery in the field near the woods behind the house.

Frank gathered everyone at the gravesite and said a few words for her. Becky Anderson was put to rest under her real name.

Frank's body was only forty years old, but the continuous use of the body with it's energy was taking a toll. The computer and "Frank" had to make a decision. It would not die, but his host's body would probably in a few more years at the rate it was using it up.

"Frank" decided he would need to find a new host within the next five years. The computer searched the world for a male that met the criteria. He had to be in his twenties. He had to not have a family or a wife to leave behind. "Frank" preferred to find a male that hadn't much of a future on his own.

The computer reviewed the entire 1.5 million to find a candidate. It found one it was satisfied with.

Randolph Backus was a twenty-six-year-old from LA. He had been in trouble his entire life. He was an orphan and had been in and out of the orphanage system most of his life. He had a drug habit and was presently living on the street in Burbank.

Frank took the ship and beamed him aboard. The male was semiconscious and didn't notice where he was. Frank had the computer prepare Randolph's body. It removed the drugs from his body and repaired the damage that had been done to the body. It had left Franks body and was cleaning up the body in his cloud. It pushed nutrients and the proper fluids through the body and flushed all the toxins out of the body. When it was finished, it looked at this body and entered it for a test run. The body felt good. It got up, flexed and moved around. It liked the body. The mind was now clear. It had Randolph walled off for now. It went back to Frank's body and beamed down to the ranch.

He gathered the entire staff and explained what he was doing. When he finished, he took Elizabeth and Maria to their bedroom.

"I wanted to prepare you for my new body. This body will now house the male I am replacing. We will have to decide where to put this body when it is no longer me. We can't have it walking around here."

Elizabeth and Maria were crying. They had not thought of this. They were not prepared for a different body in their bed. Frank took each of them in his arms and held them until they calmed down. They then went to bed, and he made love to each until they finally fell asleep in his arms.

In the morning, they repeated the process until he finally had to leave. He beamed to the ship and the preparations for the transfer began. Randolph was put on one table and Frank lay down on the other. He connected the two bodies with the wires from the machine. He then left Frank's body for the last time.

Once back in the machine, the process of safely collecting Randolph's entire being began, being careful not to harm him. When it was ready, it shifted Randolph to Frank's body. Once completed, it went into Randolph's body. He opened his eyes, stretched his arms and legs. Everything worked. Frank2 got up and removed the wires. He then told Randoph to wake up. Randolph opened his eyes and looked around. When he saw himself standing beside him, he became very agitated. Frank2 told him to freeze. Frank2 then told him what was happening and what he was to do. He then released Randolph to his new world. The machine had modified his mind to remove the compulsive/addictive behavior. Frank2 explained to Randolph that they had "fixed" his addition problem and he had a new lease on life. He now had a new identity. No one knew who he was. He was free to start over as a new person. It was up to him. Once he understood his options, he nodded and Frank2 beamed him to a halfway house that would help him get started fresh. Without the stress of it's energy flowing through him, the body should last Randolph many years.

Frank2 took a deep breath and beamed down to the ranch. Elizabeth and Maria were waiting for him in the bedroom. They looked his new body over carefully. He was taller now, with broader shoulders and much younger. Elizabeth finally spoke, "This is the new you?"

Frank2 smiled. "This is the new me."

Maria popped up. "I like that voice. Much deeper and sexy."

Frank2 laughed, "That's not all that's sexy." He dropped his pants to reveal a larger member than he had before."

Elizabeth cooed. "I might be able to get used to this new body. I'll have to try it out first." With that, she finished stripping Frank2 and pulled him down on the bed. Over the next hour, Maria and Elizabeth checked out the new body thoroughly.

Frank2 no longer had to go into the world to recruit new males. They were in almost every country. Only the smaller countries were not touched, but their people from the neighboring countries would be able to get to them in the next two generations. He sent out a command for his recruiters to send males into the outlying regions of their countries.

After twenty more years, he had now been on earth for fifty-five years. Their numbers had grown to 2.5 billion. He was past the tipping point. The computer sent a command to everyone connected to change the breeding program to add more females than males. Fifty years of nothing but males had overloaded the populations. The computer had taken this into account. It would only take one generation to balance the world population again. It would then balance the future babies evenly.

During the time Frank had changed bodies, Maria had also faced a crisis. She grew tired of just wandering the house waiting for Frank to come and pay attention to her. She finally decided she wanted a child. Frank had agreed and freed her reproductive organs. It hadn't taken her long to get pregnant. Frank had inserted a little surprise for her. When she gave birth, she was surprised to learn she was having twins. She had one male and one female. She spent the next twenty years fulling engaged in raising her babies. Frank had modified their program so they didn't have the breeding program, just the basic connection to the collective. Maria and her children had moved into a different portion of the mansion. She would come and sleep with him whenever she could, especially when her children went away to college. Frank had paid for whatever college they wanted. He was their father, after all. Frank was not disappointed to learn his children had a promising intelligence.

Elizabeth was now in her seventies. She was slowing down and growing tired more often. In fact, she had brought a younger female from the staff to satisfy Frank's needs. They still sleep together every night, but sex was more and more infrequent. They were both comfortable with this arrangement. Frank was very uncomfortable with the idea that she would die soon. He couldn't think of this planet without her. He went back to the ship and entered the machine. It wanted to communicate with its people to understand if it would be possible to do what it was considering.

The collective decided it could try it, with the understanding it might not work. Frank2 went back to the ranch to talk to Elizabeth.

"I have an idea that I think might work. My people give us a high chance of it working, but it would be a risk."

She was sitting at the kitchen table. She had long since gone back to wearing clothes. She was cold and didn't want to be naked any longer. It had been years since she changed. "So, what do you have in mind?"

"I can't think of the idea of continuing here without you. Your body is wearing out. I want to switch you into a younger female's body. That would give you at least another seventy years with me. It is a risk. I did it, but we are not sure if a human being would survive the shock of the transfer. It is something you will need to think about to decide if you want to try it."

Elizabeth started crying. "I have been thinking of this ever since I could no longer satisfy your physical needs. I have also been thinking about the end. There is so much more we need to do, and I would like to be here with you to accomplish our goal. I don't want to get weaker and weaker and be a burden to you and the staff. I want to try it if we can find a suitable female. I don't want to just take a young female's body and rob her of her youth. That would be the challenge."

Frank2 realized that was the problem. He had no real problem with stealing a body, but he knew she would never be comfortable with it. He would have to find something to work this out.

The cemetery they had started for Becky Anderson had grown. More than half of the staff were now buried there. The rest of the original staff had long since retired. He had provided whatever retirement they had requested. The staff was now turning over at a normal rate.

The world's situation has improved over the last fifty years. After Frank had taken most of the world's best scientists, the computer showed them many improvements in this planet's problems. It showed them the best way to use the sun to power the entire planet. The awkward solar panel was archaic. Within forty years, they were using colliders to speed up the sun's rays and multiply their power one hundred-fold. The earth's people now had enough power to provide free energy to everyone. The fossil fuel industry was scrapped, and, once they had used the existing product, it was abandoned. The equipment and means required to support such a large enterprise were stripped down and reduced into useful metals. As Frank had taken control of the war machines that dominated the planet, it became less necessary. The countrys' leaders were now engaged in finding solutions instead of dominating their neighbors. At this time, the world's military population was falling. Frank figured it would disappear entirely within the next fifty years. Global warming had been completely reversed and the atmosphere was healthy again. The weather has stabilized around the world. Violent weather storms had not been eliminated yet, but scientists were making advances. The money not being used on large militaries was now being diverted to solving humanity's societal problems. The governments began building housing in a more even pattern to control congestion. Homelessness has been eliminated in the last few years. The lack of aggression has reduced the need for individual firearms. Without passing laws, the number of firearms was falling steadily. Frank believed that they would be eliminated voluntarily within the next fifty years.

When the Pope came out and decreed that all religions eventually arrived at the same destination, it caused an uproar. However, the lack of aggression eventually caused all religions to agree.

Frank2 believed he had finally found a candidate for Elizabeth. She was a twenty-one-year-old blonde from Savannah, Georgia that had been in a car accident. She was brain dead, and her family had donated her body to research. Frank2's charity donated a million dollars to the family's charity of choice, and they had donated her body to Frank2's charity. She was still on life support, and Frank2 told them to keep the body alive until he could retrieve it. Frank2 sent an ambulance to retrieve it. When it was out of sight of everyone, Frank2 beamed the body to his ship. Frank2 connected the body to the ship's computers, and it fixed the problems that had damaged it's brain. Once the body was healthy, Frank2 beamed Elizabeth to the ship.

She just stared at the beautiful young woman. "Such a waste. So young."

"Yes, but she was dead before we took her body. It has been repaired and is now ready to receive you. If you are ready, we will begin."

Frank2 was very nervous. Elizabeth could be dead in a matter of minutes, or she could be with him for many years to come. It was that simple.

Elizabeth kissed Frank2 and spoke. "Let's get this over with. I want you to know, I do this willingly to have a chance to return to my youth and be with you for another fifty years."

She lay down on the table and Frank2 placed the wires in the proper places. She closed her eyes and waited. Frank2 put his body down and entered the computer. He was going to be there for this. When it was ready, it moved out of the machine and it's cloud enveloped both bodies. The cloud began to glow and the machine started humming. After a few minutes, it grew quiet, and the cloud returned to the machine. Frank2 returned to its body and waited. Elizabeth's vitals stopped. Her body was dead. The other female was still breathing on the machines. Frank2 disconnected the machines she had come with. It was now or never. For an eternity to Frank2, nothing happened. Then Liz2 took a huge breath and opened her eyes. She was breathing deeply, as if trying to catch her breath. After a few minutes, she slowed to a normal rhythm. Frank2 removed all the computers' wires and Liz2 sat up.

She looked at Frank2 and smiled. "I guess you are stuck with me for another fifty years." He hugged her and hugged her and cried. They both cried.

They beamed down to their bedroom. Maria was waiting for them. She was hopeful, but nervous. When she saw this young, beautiful female standing in front of her, naked, she ran to her. "You must be Elizabeth, you must be." She hugged the new body.

"Yes, Maria, yes. It is me. I can't believe it, but it is me."

Frank2 wanted to fuck this new body right now, but the two females were so intent on talking, he smiled and went back into the house. The next month was wonderful for both. It was like getting to fuck a young and beautiful new body, but you knew everything about the individual inside. You know what they like, and what they don't. It was a different voice, but it knew everything about you. It took them a month to become accustomed to each other again.

They had a funeral for Elizabeth's body. It was earie to have the new Elizabeth attending her old body's funeral. They buried her at the head of the cemetery.

The next issue was Maria. Ten years after Elizabeth's rebirth, Maria was now seventy. She had no interest in trying what Elizabth had done, and Frank2 wasn't sure he was either. Maria talked to her kids about it. They were both married and had kids by now. They both had very successful careers and Frank2 was very proud of them. He accepted their decision and sent Maria to live out her days with her family. When her son notified Frank2 that she had died, Frank2 made a special place in their cemetery for her beside Elizabeth. Her real name was on the tombstone.

As they approached 100 years after Frank had arrived, the assimilation was almost complete. There were so few uncollected humans left, they took to calling them "the wilds" and had crews in every country that would take them when they were discovered. Frank2 knew the stragglers would die out in the next few years. He was happy to sent the message to his people on this planet to rescind the breeding programs.

He sent the message his people had been waiting for since they had sent him here.

"The earth has now matured and is ready to join the universe's community."
