Chapter 4: Monster House
It had taken a month for DOSA to rebuild Benjamin's home and rebuild it they did. The house that Ben and Ashlyn had was gone. This new home was high tech and big. Each part of the house was designed for supernatural creatures. It had a system that would adapt to the tenants' needs. Ben had full control over it as well. He could close out all light with solid steel blinds. He could change the temperature of each room. There were a lot of things he was still learning.
Agent Maya Yamin had visited them a couple times since their first meeting. Ben still had a couple more things to agree to and sign and Flori and Fee had to register under DOSA.
Fee was completely willing to give all her information and blood work to register. Flori, on the other hand, proved a bit more difficult to convince. She was skeptical about the intentions of her blood. Apparently people steal blood from vampires to try and turn themselves. After Ben convinced her that it was okay she finally agreed.
"If they end up using my blood for anything I'll go and drain them all." She threatened and he believed her.
Flori kept her room in the basement. As much as Maya complained and said she was sure the ground floor was secure, Flori didn't care. She had grown used to and liked the basement. So they redesigned it from an old creepy basement to a high tech dark room. It was lit with LED lights that Flori could clap on and off and contained a chilled refrigerator that stored her blood.
Fee's room situation was unique. They gave her an empty room to do whatever she wanted with it. She used her magic to decorate and fill it with her things. She told me after she was done that everything in her room could change to the appropriate size she was at the moment. She also said that more than likely she'll still be sleeping with Ben.
So, all in all, things were good for Ben. He was no longer worried about rent or utilities for the house. DOSA made sure everything was taken care of. Agent Maya did tell him he would still have to go out and get food and whatever supplies the roommates might need in the future.
Speaking of roommates, Ben had asked when he should be expecting them.
"We will let you know when the first one arrives." She replied.
"First one? I'm not getting all at once?" Ben questioned.
Agent Maya just laughed. "There's no way you would be able to handle all that. Plus we are still scouting out some. They are not ready yet."
That was all she said on the matter and Ben had to leave it at that.
"How are the two tenants doing?" Maya asked.
"Flori and Fee are doing good." Ben replied. He shifted in his seat.
"And how are you? Are you getting used to this? Taking care of supernatural creatures isn't easy."
Ben had grown fond of the dark skinned agent. She had gotten softer and softer with each video call. They had video check-ups at least three times a week. The calls would last for about thirty minutes and would be full of Maya asking questions. Most were about Flori, Fee, and the house but occasionally she would make small talk. It seemed to Ben she didn't get out much on the account of her job.
"I'm handling it. I was doing fine before you showed up remember?" Ben bragged into the screen and let out a big breath.
Agent Yamin rolled her eyes. "Slightly controlling one and having sexual intercourse with both isn't doing fine." Ben blushed. "You got extremely lucky. It's unheard of for a vampire to be controlled that way and you could have been killed. You're also fortunate that Fee liked you right away. Her species can be dangerous too."
Ben chuckled. "Fee dangerous? No way."
"Maybe not her but her species are very powerful magic creatures. She could have done a number of things to you."
Ben's face straighten and he winced. "I understand. I know I was lucky but Agent Yamin, I'm being careful."
"I told you to call me Maya." She interrupted.
"Maya," he corrected himself. "I'm good. These two would never harm me. In the future I will be more careful and now with the help of you I can do it right. I appreciate that."
It was Maya's turn to blush. She knew he had to have something special to woo those two girls. Fairies were easily seduced but a vampire. She had only heard of one other case in her career of a vampire falling for a human. It was a younger vampire though. Flori was much older yet she was compelled by this random male. Ben noticed the change in behavior. He realized what he had said. Flori was aware of Ben and Fee sexual relationship but they never talked about it. She had discussed that she was fine with it before and even got used to Fee being around.
Still, he knew she didn't like to hear about it and he slipped up.
"I'm going to go make dinner." Flori said. She seemed completely apathetic to the situation now.
"Okay ...just don't put blood in it this time." Ben called to her as she left the room. She waved a hand and then she was gone.
Ben got up and turned his computer off. He left his work room which was now more decked out than before. DOSA had given him state of the art equipment and he was thrilled. They only gave Ben this because the new computer could do regular scans of the house and tenants and he could get in contact with them no matter what.
The chocolate man walked to his room to freshen up. He cleaned his face and took his glasses off to put in his contacts.
"Awww! I like the way you look with glasses!" A voice speaker out.
"Ahhh!" Ben jumped.
Ben whipped his head around and a very small very naked fairy was hovering near the wall by the towel rack.
"Fee! What have I told you about sneaking around the house?!" Ben cried out.
Fee huffed. "I didn't sneak. I just came in. It's not my fault humans hearing is crap."
"Our hearing is fine. Fee, I told you to announce yourself when you come into a room."
Fee flew over to the towel rack and landed on it. She lowered her head and sort of bent at the waist and bowed.
"Your majesty, Fee the Fairy has entered your chambers!"
Ben laughed. "That's actually kinda cute. Thank you."
Fee flew over to Ben and slapped his forehead. Unfortunately for her, it only felt like a flick to him; which made him chuckle again.
Fee's face turned red. She transformed quickly to human size right in front of him. She made her wings disappear and materialized a tank top and panties on herself.
"Flori sent me to tell you dinner is ready."
"Ahh okay. Let's go then."
Fee took Ben's hand and lead him to the front of the house which took a little longer than usual. Ben's room was now in the back right corner of the house. If you left his room there would be two doors to his left out in the bedroom hallway. The first one led to a small hall that led to a closet and bathroom. The second set of stairs leading to the basement/Flori's domain. Down the rest of the hall was four door on the right, a door all the way at the end, and a halfway down the left leading to the front of the house. The closest door on the right was Fee's room. The other three rooms were currently empty. Benjamin's work room was behind the door at the end of the hall. There was an additional room from the work room and a bathroom past that.
Down the main hall there were two more doors on either side. Two more rooms. Past that you had the living room on one side and the kitchen on the other.
All the bedrooms had mechanical sliding doors. Ben could control all of them too. Open and close them at the touch of a button. This button was located on a wristband that Agent Maya gave him after the housework was completed.
"This controls most things in the house. Windows, doors, and security scans. All of it. The tenants can still move about freely and go in and out of their rooms." She explained to him.
