My name is Tatyana and I would like to tell you how I found my mate. First, I want to give you some background on me. I am the child born to Anton and Anna Belville. My family has been in this area since the late 1700's. We came to America to escape the persecution of our kind and have flourished here ever since. My parents are the alphas of our pack and have been since father took over for his father in 1922. You may be wondering how is it possible for my father to be that old. It is simple really, we are werewolves. I may look like I am in my 20s, but I am actually 74. I look good for my age don't I. I am the smallest of the pack as I am only five foot four. But I am also the fastest and best fighter in the pack. I am not as strong compared to other wolves, but I can move very fast. They cannot win against me in any fights I have been in. No one messes with me because of it. I'm not just the alpha's daughter I am the most dangerous wolf in the pack.
I met my mate, he called himself Wasape, when I was out walking through the woods one day. I came to a clearing that I frequent when I caught a scent, his scent, the scent of my mate. I knew instantly. The smell was intense. It was that of cedar and peppermint. My wolf jumped for joy at the scent and I looked around, but I did not see him nearby. Then I saw him. He was very far away and hidden. But I could see him very well. He looked very rugged and handsome. His hair was strawberry blonde and he had a red beard. We made eye contact through his binoculars he was looking at me with. If he knew we were mates he didn't show it. I stayed there for a while and I decided to give him a little show to try and bring him out to me, but he never moved closer and never tried to get me to come to him. I walked back home.
We next met a few days later. My pack was out hunting when we came across him and a freshly killed elk. Father wanted to see if we could scare him away. I never told father that this was my mate because I was confused why he never came for me. We surrounded him and snarled and growled and did what we have done to scare others away.
He never flinched. Instead he stood up, bared his teeth and growled back. To say we were surprised was an understatement. so, father decided to leave him be. Later admitted he felt a lot of respect for the man. I was proud that my mate stood up to the pack. I felt that he would be a good mate. Very protective of me, the pack and our pups. Also, I now know where to find him better and after that I tracked him back to his home. Home was a spartan camp he had set up in a cave. While he was gone one day I decided to investigate him camp.
I stayed in wolf form the first few times I visited it had everything he needed to live and plenty of food stored up. Again, I was proud of his ability to provide. On the last visit I went in human form I decided to rub against his belongings, thinking that my scent would entice him to find me. I was ready to leave when I smelt him. He came out of his hiding spot. I embraced him and took his scent in as deeply as I could. He buried his face in my hair and took a breath in as well. He finally realized we are mates I thought as he kissed me and caressed my breasts. Then he suddenly broke away. He was confused and said things that a mate wouldn't say. It then dawned on me. He is human he doesn't know about werewolves or mates. I ran as fast as I could. I should have stayed but I was scared. I was returning to watch him. He was looked angry and tired. He had a large pile of split wood that I assumed he just split.
