"Sir, we're here," one of my employees said with his hands behind his back to show respect to me. I looked up, my head raising from resting on my chin. I'm sure I had a red spot on my cheek. He was standing outside on the moist dirt in rather fancy clothing.
"You may go," I said in a calm voice as I got out of the hummer and looked around. Surrounded by a new view and a new climate, everything intrigued me. Vibrant colors were all around, surrounded by deep green.
The hot, wet air stuck to my skin causing a coat of shine to form over it. My button-up shirt I had opened to help with the heat did nothing to help cover my defined chest, it opened up until the middle of my abdomen. The brown shorts came to my leg before showing off my strong calves. Dark hair covered my head in curls and as my green eyes wandered around my cottage I let out an appreciative sound from the back of my throat.
I turned around and looked at my driver. He gave me a half-smile and I sent him a nod. "You can drive back the car, Jarel," I said in my deep voice, and he nodded.
"As you wish, sir," He said and I shook him off with my hand. He waited for me to speak my mind with curious brown eyes.
"Please Jarel, you have known me for five years now, call me Armando old friend," I suggest as I move my feet from side to side. He opened his mouth to answer but closed it after a short second and just nodded his head.
"Yes sir- Armando. Have a nice excursion." He said and hit the gas, driving off in a cloud of smoke. I waved him off as the car soon became invisible to the naked eye.
I let out a sigh and headed for the cottage with my big bag on my back. Most of my stuff was already in the wild-looking house because my servants had done their work and put them in my room. I was grateful for their wonderful work.
I dropped the bag onto the soft ground and stepped away from it. I would put it up later.
I decided I didn't want to head back in at the moment, instead, I wanted to explore this new place. I had been bored of the big cities and business offices back in New York. All I ever did was make money and never did anything else. Never went out to eat except for business, never had a night of fun with a beautiful woman, and never went on a vacation.
It was time to change that.
And the jungle was just the place. I had always wanted to visit a jungle and I couldn't help but feel relieved I was here. It was as if the whole trip here something in my mind had been telling me to get here as quick as possible. I listened to the little voice and demanded to get here as quickly as achievable.
My footsteps broke brown branches and green leaves as I made my way through the thick, wild jungle. Sounds came from every direction from colorful animals hiding under the leaves and trees. Sunlight shined through like a spotlight onto the ground and flowers.
I loved everything about the jungle.
I don't know how long I walked until I decided to take a break by a stream. A waterfall filled the stream with water and the sound of water crashing on water was a roaring one. I took in the beauty my eyes wandering around.
