I am a mobile caregiver on call with a variety of agencies and usually get called for clients with special needs but one day I got a call for a potential client that needed light housekeeping and companion care and rides to appointments. The agency sent the clients bio and I set up the home visit. I noticed on the bio that the client was in her late 40's with some pain management problems. I made contact with the client and made sure she was aware that I was a male caregiver, and then asked about her diagnosis, we talked briefly, she sounded very polite over the phone so we set up a time to meet at her home the next day.
It took a moment to park and find her place. I rang the doorbell and she answered rather hastily stating she hates loud sounds and to please just knock lightly and let myself in next time. I was taken back by what I saw before me. The client was about 5'9", with a very curvaceous body, blond bbw with green eyes wearing jeans and am unbuttoned button up shirt with a t-shirt underneath. She mentioned she had a friend with her for the initial visit and we all got to talking about services and expectations and her health problems and everything seemed to be going well until she asked if I smoked. I said "No not cigarettes." Wishing I could take it back, the subject came to smoking marijuana with other clients for medicinal purposes and she let it go. I thought I might have lost her as a client but she asked me to return the next day and we would talk more.
