Cassandra was freshly nineteen when she moved across the country, escaping her traditional parents and enabling her to finally get the education she desired. While she couldn't afford much with her meager savings, she was thrilled when a room in an apartment just a quick walk to her university popped up online. She was even more thrilled that it happened to be above a tattoo studio. Even if her parents wanted to come drag her back, they'd never go near a building like that lest they end up exposing themselves to ideas other than their own.
She signed the lease that afternoon after a brief meeting with Jace, the owner of the building and tattoo studio below. He was just recently single, and needed the extra cash afforded by having a roommate but didn't need to charge too much since his business was going well, so the deal worked out for both.
Cassandra was curious about Jace's work. He'd often be up late at night, designing tattoos for tomorrow's customers and dreaming up bigger projects. He never really pushed the idea of getting a tattoo on Cassandra, but that didn't stop her from growing curious about it.
The idea was wildly exciting for her. Not only would a tattoo totally freak out her parents, but she craved the kind of intimacy getting a tattoo afforded. There was something almost erotic about the idea of someone permanently marking you, changing your body forever while having you fully at their mercy. Despite this, she remained hesitant about getting one, the cost alone was enough to put her off.
Conflict arose in her mind when Jace came to her with a proposal. For months, his spare time had been used to design a full bodysuit design that he wished to enter a prestigious competition with. The issue? Even at a reduced rate he struggled to find someone with no tattoos who was willing to take the project one. The deadline was only a couple months away, and he knew he had a winner. So, his proposal was, in return for free rent until the conclusion of the competition, that Cassandra act as his canvas. They could work on it after hours, slowly chipping away at the work until she was fully covered, from chin to toes, in intricate patterns and designs. He would get his pristine canvas, and she would get to experience the ultimate surrender to another person in addition to saving money on rent.
It sounded like a dream, but it was also a hard decision to make. Cassandra liked the idea of being tattooed, but a full body suit sounded a little too much to commit to for her first tattoo. So, after a day or so of thinking, she came to him to ask if they could just do a smaller piece. Something she could cover up when Cassandra inevitably had to go home and see her family. To her surprise, Jace agreed happily to this proposal and suggested they start right away. Given that she wanted it to be fully hidden, he proposed they start on her back, giving her a 'tramp stamp' which was both beautiful and easy to keep out of prying eye's view.
They were going to get started that night. He suggested the Cassandra have a couple drinks beforehand, to distract her from the pain. They shared a whiskey, and he generously refilled her glass while he prepared the stencil. Cassandra didn't notice, but she was quickly approaching passing out, barely registering as Jace applied the stencil to her back. She gladly laid on her stomach for him, drifting in and out of consciousness as the effects of her now numerous drinks took hold.
