Chapter 8:
Zach:
After a fantastic time, fucking Nora's ass. We finally tired ourselves out, I still had to firmly command Nora to stay in bed with me. She says she is my slave, but she defies some orders because she believes herself to be worthless. All I have to say to that is if you act that way I might as well treat you that way. But also, I am suspicious that she might be doing this on purpose because she gets off on her master punishing her. Nevertheless, I punished her ass greatly this night.
Physically restraining Nora in my arms in order to keep her in bed, we eventually fell asleep, and again came the dreams.
I hear waves, yet I couldn't see them. I could smell the salt and feel the mist on my skin. Only my sight was affected, all other senses greatly heightened. My feet were bare, and between my toes I felt what I would have guessed was pebbles on a rocky beach, but something was slightly off. When I thought of the odd sensation my other senses started noticing other oddities. The crashing waves didn't sound like that at a normal beach, they did not sound as if they were hitting against rocky cliffs. There was a light hum, like that of a pitch fork every time the waves came down. My eyes were open, but there was only darkness. I then remembered the feeling of the 'pebbles' beneath my feet. It felt like those glass beads that would be used in propane fire pits, or small fish tanks. Such an oddly specific sensory memory. I could hear it now, the 'click clacking' of the beads hitting each other.
Suddenly a piece of the puzzle was revealed. When I guessed to glass beads, some of my vision returned, or more like it was revealed. In the sky was a dimly lit star, its light just barely traipsing the ground, giving it shape and texture to my eyes. I now paid attention to the sound of the waves. If the beach was made of glass beads, then it would stand to reason that the cliffs would be something akin to that. Pondering that for a while it finally hit me; crystal!
Once again the intensity of the light grew, becoming a deep red like that of a sunset nearly disappearing. I could see the crystal cliffs, but just barely. There would need to be more light in order to refract through the crystals.
"Hello?" I called out, my voice drowned out by the waves.
"There is no need to yell." A voice from behind me mutters, the voice being soft and musical, yet cutting through the crashing waves. With a start I turn around to see the woman from my last dream. Her body is made of the smoothest crystal, translucent yet mirror like. Her eyes this time were blue sapphires. And her hair looked like strands of light, like those ultra-thin fiber optic cables. Her lips were of the deepest red rubies.
This time she was not naked, she was wearing clothes, the most immaculate clothing I had ever seen. Normally I wasn't one for fashion, but somehow when I looked upon her clothing the words came to my mind. She was wearing a Kalasiris, a linen dress, very thin, and very see-through, being that I was able to see her emerald pierced nipples. The dress contained multitudes of different colors and imagery. If I had to guess these designs almost looked like hieroglyphs. Around her neck was a lariat style necklace which draped over her upper chest, going from her collar bone to the top of her cleavage. it was made up of gemstones, some of which I had never seen before.
"What do you think?" She asked me, giggling at my gawking of her magnificent form.
"Y-you are probably one of the most b-beautiful beings I have ever seen." I stammered the words, incapable of attempting to seem cool. After I had said that she smiled a bright grin - literally - making the star brighten to that of our midday sun.
With the sun at its peak brightness her form became a shifting array of colored lights; refracting throughout her body. She was the most beautiful prism I had ever seen.
"Sapphira," She said suddenly, raising her eyebrow at me as if waiting, "Is it still not common courtesy to offer ones name in return when given a name?"
"O-oh shit, hi, I'm Zach!" I stuck my hand out to shake her hand, she only looked at it. It was only a few seconds but I couldn't believe I had already humiliated myself in front of the woman.
"Zach, I think its time I tell you a few things... about the ring and collar." Her tone became more serious. I was quickly shocked out of my nervousness, now feeling anticipation at what she would say.
"I assume the previous owner told you next to nothing about them?" She asked me, a hint of disdain in her voice. I shook my head confirming her suspicion.
"That old man was such a pain in the ass," she said under breath, sighing with frustration, "well, moving forward. There is information that he seemed to have let slip his mind." She waited for me to say something.
"G-go ahead, sorry, I'm just trying to listen to you closely." I stammered out, making her give me a cute smirk.
"First off, the collar and ring are collectively known as the Prismium, but you may call it whatever you please." We began to walk down the crystalline beach, "The collars abilities seem the most straightforward of the two, and for the most part they are. But the longer the two of you wear their respective artifacts, the stronger your connection to each other and the magic within become. You may know the collar and ring can only be removed on a new moon, but I'm sure you were not told that if they are worn past 2 moon cycles they become bonded for life."
When she said that I felt sweat drip down my temple. "So, then all we need to do is just remove them at the next new moon then?" I asked her.
"Yes, you could, the issue is that you will become so entangled in the lives of the women that you affect with the magic, that if you were to take them away, your life would quickly fall into turmoil. All of this sex and relationships, people somehow being fine with your incest, all of it would be gone. And everyone will remember it, thus the more you allow yourself to use their power, the harder it will be to want to get rid of it.
"Now, that doesn't necessarily mean that these artifacts are evil, or bad in any way. I am merely warning you of what will happen, but you must come to terms with how you have altered the course of all of these people's lives; for better or worse."
"Is that the only downside?" I ask her after thinking for a moment.
"Less of a downside and more of a moralistic problem," She said, waxing philosophical, "If you choose to be bound forever, then you will have a harem of beautiful women, abilities granted to you two by the artifacts, even your harem will gain benefits. But ultimately you are using magic to drastically change the lives of your partners."
