Hailey's Breathtaking Hypnotic Breasts Chapter 5
===
Sorry for the longer than expected delay between chapters. My day job got a little busier than usual which hampered my creativity somewhat, but things should be calmer now. This chapter is a bit on the longer side compared to my past chapters and I'm planning to post the next chapter in the next few days instead of waiting a month this time. It'll still probably be a month between that chapter and the one after though.
If you enjoy my writing, or if you don't, please take a moment to rate the story and/or leave a comment. Thank you to everyone who has left a comment or rating on my past chapters.
I appreciate the feedback and take it all into consideration.
Next chapter in about a month.

As much as I wanted to pursue thoughts about my Skill's unusual leveling pattern, my focus was quickly pulled to Stacy as she tugged me into the hallway from the teleporter room. Any thoughts about other concerns were then tossed out when I closed the door behind me and realized that where there had just been a door now appeared to just be a normal part of the wall. Stacy noticed my curious glance and avoided my gaze. Apparently, we hadn't teleported in to the normal teleporter room in her house, but rather a secret one.
That surprise offered a possible explanation of how Stacy's mother was apparently able to bypass the station's security around teleportations. Where my family avoided it by virtue of no sane law enforcement official on the station being willing to call them out on their flagrant violation of a law that didn't hurt anyone, Stacy's family apparently did it by having a secret second teleporter that didn't have all the security protocols properly installed. The one I'd seen and used in the past was probably fully compliant and would've refused our teleport attempt while we were weirdly banned from the neighborhood. Teleports could only be completed if allowed from both ends after all, and if the destination teleporter didn't think it was in a restricted area, then there was no reason for either teleporter to prevent the teleportation.
"There's a secret second teleporter room in your house," I stated leadingly.
"Um, yeah, it's a family secret, and it's never come up before."
I gave Stacy a flat look. A few days ago, I would've confidently asserted that there were no secrets between us. Sure, there might be things we didn't know about the other, we didn't need to tell each other every mundane detail of our lives, but I had been confident that there weren't any real secrets.
But then, she had hinted at knowing non-public knowledge of mind control abilities. That had shaken my confidence in that assessment, but she had promised it wasn't her secret to tell, that telling me could cause problems for me, and that I'd probably find out eventually anyway. I'd tried not to let it affect how I treated her, but truthfully it probably had caused some distance to form between us, even as our relationship was evolving from a friendship into something very different.
But now I was finding out that there was more. Why would she have a secret teleporter room? While the law preventing that was a relatively minor one in the context of what might be tolerated from my parents, it was a felony and was rigorously enforced across the entire Empire. Other nations had similar laws as well. That was less to prevent people like us from hopping into a gated community, and more because such teleporters could be used for smuggling, human trafficking, and illegal immigration.
So naturally, there weren't very many reasons someone would take that risk. My parents did it partially because the station didn't have a single Tier 4 teleporter anywhere on the station and wanted to be able to leave without having to wait for a ship and didn't particularly care about what they considered frivolous formalities, and they were powerful enough to get away with it, at least in a place like this where they were the most powerful people around. I suspect they didn't try to pull anything like that in places where the average level of power was higher. I knew that the cities around some of the dungeons that they delved even had Tier 5 police officers who could squash my parents like a fly.
But what was Stacy's mother's excuse? Actually, that question itself raised a flag for me. Stacy had said it was a family secret, but one of the weirdest things about her family was that she didn't have much of one. Her mother was the only family in her life, which was virtually unheard of. Because the System had completely eliminated death from old age and made everyone fertile for life, most people were in no rush to have children and only did so if they were extremely confident in the relationship, usually after being together for decades. People could wait thousands of years before having children if they wanted, and the System also ensured perfect birth control for both parents, so pregnancy could only happen if both parents were fully on board, outside of some extremely rare edge cases.
Because of those factors, it was extremely rare for both parents to not be involved in a child's life. It was also rare, albeit less so, for there to be no extended family involvement, given that in most cases over a dozen generations were still alive in a family, and the older generations were generally relatively wealthy from a lifetime of savings as well as the greater income potential of being higher level and prone to spoiling their young descendants. I was one of the rare cases with no grandparents or higher, since my parents were elderly when the System first arrived and their parents were dead. Stacy presumably had grandparents alive given her mother was only around a thousand years old where my parents were over twelve thousand, but they seemed to have no involvement in her life. That had always mystified me, but I'd always avoided the topic since it seemed likely to be a painful one, and Stacy had never brought it up.
Now I wondered though. It was hard to imagine a "family" secret that only involved Stacy's mother. Otherwise, she'd have said something like it being her mother's secret.
Maybe not though. Was I overthinking things? I supposed it could be a family secret even if it was just her mother's secret. But why would a family secret involve a teleporter capable of smuggling?
Another thought occurred to me. I almost dismissed it out of hand for being ridiculous, but I couldn't completely forget about it. With a secret teleporter capable of leaving the station in secret, could her extended family be involved in her life after all? Perhaps her family was some kind of crime family, and some of her family was wanted and couldn't travel openly? Perhaps her father was involved, and that's why he hadn't been around. A secret teleporter certainly fit that explanation, since it would enable a lot of other crimes.
I couldn't picture Stacy or her mother being involved in organized crime though. They were both wonderful, sweet people who I had a hard time picturing hurting anyone.
Evidently, I was lost in thought for a little too long. Stacy caught my attention, waving a hand in front of my face. "Uh, Hailey? You there? You seemed a little lost in space for a bit." She bit her lip. "You're not mad, are you?"
I blinked and focused back on the present. "Uh yeah, sorry. Just wrapping my head around you having a secret room with a secret teleporter." Left unsaid, was that I had thought I was more trusted than that, and that there were no secrets between us.
