"God...how do I explain this to my parents?" Heather moaned in a half-joking/half-serious tone. She'd spent the night -- a school night no less -- with what her parents had already noted was 'that girl you seem to be spending a lot of time with lately'. She'd let them know she was sleeping over. Lied about a project they were working on together. They didn't sound convinced, but her grades and general lack of getting into trouble let them give her the benefit of the doubt. Still, she knew there'd be a reckoning.
"You're going to have to, you know," Shauna said as she stretched in front of the bay window, the morning light cascading around her gorgeous body, her t-shirt rising to reveal her high cut panty and long, slender legs. "My parents are coming home this afternoon. I'm going to have talk to them about you, right?"
"Yeah," Heather sat up in bed, "but it's easier for you."
"Oh?" Shauna smirked a bit as she arched an eyebrow. She knew what Heather was hinting at. Her parents already knew she was gay, so this wouldn't come as much of a surprise to them. "You do know they think this is a phase I'm going through, don't you?" she said with a light laugh. "They keep thinking the right guy hasn't come along yet to sweep me of my feet. When I tell them you beat that guy to the punch, it's going to put a real dent in that argument."
"Okay," Heather slumped back against the pillows. "Maybe it won't be any easier for you, but it's going to be super tough for me. They didn't raise me to be a...a..."
Shauna bounced onto the bed, ignoring the aches and pains wracking her body. Mementos of the night before with Melissa. "C'mon!' she taunted, eyes wide with excitement. "Say it!"
"Fuck it," Heather giggled. "A lesbian! A dyke! A rug muncher!"
"A bean flicker!" Shauna smacked her with a pillow. "A bent babe!'
"A muff diver! A pussy puncher!" Heather laughed as the two wrapped themselves around each other in a mix of playful wrestling and tickling. They'd done little more than cuddle and cling to each other throughout last evening and into this morning. Shauna was in too much agony physically and Heather was still mentally wounded from their mutual tormentors. Cuddling, though, was enough for both of them. It gave them time to really talk things out. More than that, it gave them time to plan...
They'd need to keep the subterfuge going. Pretend to be Melissa's hypnotized slaves until the moment was right. Saturday loomed ahead of them, and Shauna feared it might be a do or die moment for both of them. So they schemed. A plot that kept itself fluid enough they could adjust it on the fly. If Melissa had taught them anything, it was unpredictability, and they'd need to be ready for that.
In the meantime, it was bad enough -- to Shauna's mind -- to keep pretending to be Melissa's lover. Bad enough she'd be together with her, she'd also have to watch Heather endure seeing the two of them in each other's arms.
"You're brushing your teeth before you kiss me after you've kissed her," Heather teased. Shauna simply noted there wasn't enough mouthwash in the world to get rid of that stain.
As they held each other, knowing they'd need to get dressed soon and head to school, Heather simply looked at the ceiling. "Can we really pull this off?" she asked. "It's not going to be easy."
Shauna sat up and looked at her, a warmth spreading across her face. "How do you feel...now that you're free...about what Mr. Fulton did to you?" She saw her words have the intended effect, as Heather bristled and nearly shivered with a mixture of fear and anger.
"I want to kick him in the balls so hard his cock goes back inside his groin so he can never use it again," she whispered, a small hint of a growl underneath it. "I want him to pay, a hundred times or more, for what he did to me..." she shivered slightly, "...what he took from me."
Shauna leaned forward and kissed her lightly on the lips. "There's your answer then," she looked Heather directly in the eyes as she pulled away. "We can pull this off. We *will* pull this off."
Heather leaned her forehead to rest against Shauna's. "This is a crazy plan you have," she said, adding that last time Shauna's plan hadn't ended quite the way either of them had desired. Shauna reminded her that they were together now because of that mishap but not to worry. She had a much better, if a bit more intricate, scheme this time around.

"So...explain it like this makes sense," Sheila said as she sat with Shauna on a bench during break. "You and Heather aren't together now, but you and Melissa...the bitch you totally hate...are?"
Shauna shrugged. "Stranger things have happened," she said. "Melissa and I had a long overdue conversation and realized that all our fighting was just repressing our true feelings. Heather...well, she wasn't happy about it, but we're still talking to each other. At least there's that."
Neither she nor Heather were great actors, but it wasn't hard to give out the vibe that the 'happy couple' from a few weeks back weren't quite as happy anymore. Melissa had done her part unwittingly, kissing Shauna in full view of most of campus. The grapevine around campus had taken care of the rest of it. By mid-day the whole school pretty much knew.
Heather got the worst of it, to Shauna's mind. She had to deal with 'sympathetic' classmates telling her that her ex-girlfriend was a total whore. A bitch who'll jump in the sack with anyone. That she could do so much better. None of them know that Heather's feelings for Shauna ran deeper than anything she'd ever experienced before. Shauna had it easy by comparison. Everyone already though she was the 'weird chick', so it wasn't a far stretch to go from that to 'hated bitch'.
"I guess," Sheila said. "It's a shame, though. You and Heather were cute. It was like a fairy princess getting together with the dark, evil sorceress."
"I'm guessing I was the dark, evil sorceress?" Shauna smiled, Sheila returning the grin. She took a deep breath. She didn't like hiding the truth from Sheila, so she weighed out every possible scenario in her mind before continuing. "Listen," she began, "Can you keep a secret?"
"We've been friends since junior high," Sheila said. "We got pierced together. You snuck me my first beer out of your parents' fridge. What do you think?"
