"Did you just see that girl wearing the blue dress?"
"What girl?" Ash asked. "I've been sitting here quietly for the last thirty minutes eating my lunch."
"I've seen her following you around now for about a week," Jasper replied.
"What girl?" Ash asked again. This time he started looking around for a girl in a blue dress. "I don't see anyone."
"She normally shows up when you come to the diner for your supper and then follows you around for the rest of the night."
"So, Jasper why didn't you tell me about her a week ago?"
"It didn't seem important a week ago, Jasper answered. "But today, I saw her trying to get close enough to you so she could see your phone."
"What?...Why would she wanna see my phone?"
I'm sure I don't know," Jasper answered, "But she sure is a pretty lady."
Ash sighted.
--------
Several days passed, but Ash saw no one. He was just about to give up on the idea when a pretty blonde haired woman walked past him and bumped into him.
"I'm sorry," she said and smiled so sweetly. "I guess I wasn't watching where I was going."
She started to walk away but then turned around. "Aren't you the science teacher over at the college?"
"Yes," he replied I am. "Why do you ask?"
"Is she the one following me around?"
"I've a friend who took your class a few months ago..." Once again a big welcoming smile, "and recommended it to me because my major is in the science department."
"I see," Ash responded. "And are you planning to attend?"
"I'm not sure yet," she replied. "Perhaps, we could have lunch together soon and discuss it."
He noticed how her big blue eyes twinkled as she spoke.
"Was she flirting?"
"I'm free for lunch tomorrow," he told her, figuring she'd be too busy to attend, and unsure he wanted to have lunch."
"I'm free!" she said brightly. "What time and where?"
After the arrangements were made they parted company, or so he thought.
Just behind him, several steps back, she followed. She had her hand in her pocket fondling something intently.
---------------
Class ended and lunch time arrived. Ash went to the agreed upon restaurant and took a seat. He still hoped she wouldn't attend but just like a clock ticking away she arrived with a smile on her face and a present in her hands.
"I just wanted to thank you for agreeing to have lunch and talk about your class," she handed him the box and sat down. He opened the box and was amazed to be gifted his favorite chocolate.
"How did you find this chocolate?" he inquired. "Not only is it difficult to find but few people know I like it."
