Note: This is the story of a loving and loyal wife who never imagined she could cheat on her husband but is manipulated and seduced by her intensely desirable new boss. This story stands on its own, but in subsequent chapters, she then finds herself struggling to come to terms with their emerging ever-intensifying affair. The story includes scenes depicting passionate consensual heterosexual sex. It involves themes related to marriage, manipulation, ovulation, seduction, infidelity, and domination. This story takes place after the events of my previous story, "My Wife's New Boss." (In this story, the husband plays a very minor role.) In places, you will find wording that is very similar and sometimes identical.
It was the first time Nick Willard had offered to take Julia out to lunch since she started working for him as his secretary five weeks ago. She was very happy to have the chance to spend some time with him outside the office, though she worked hard to mask her excitement. She didn't want him to suspect it, but she had the biggest crush in the world on him ever since she met him the day of her interview. How could she not? He was the hottest, sexiest, most desirable man she had ever met in her life. "Tall, dark, and handsome" just didn't do him justice. His features were rugged and manly, his eyes were expressive and arresting, his hair was jet-black and always styled to perfection, and, no matter what time of day it was, he always seemed to have just the right amount of five o'clock shadow. He was also clearly well-built, and she knew he worked out a lot and was in very good shape.
It wasn't just his looks, either. It was everything about him - his status, the way he carried himself, the things he had achieved. Even though he only appeared to be in his mid-30s, Nick was already one of the most influential attorneys in the city. His clients included the wealthiest and most powerful of the city's elite, and he was known to stop at nothing to defend them. He was rumored to have never lost a case, employing what Julia could only describe as a gentle sort of ruthlessness in court. By now, he was extremely well connected and routinely dined with people of status and power like judges, state legislators, and community leaders. Nick, of course, took in enormous fees, and Julia didn't know how rich he was, but she knew he could afford to have a private jet at his disposal. He had a supreme sense of style and was always immaculately dressed in only the most expensive suits and dazzling accessories. He always projected a well-earned aura of confidence and control, the type of guy who always turned heads and would instantly take command of any room he entered. At the same time, he was infinitely charming and friendly and laid back, and he had a great sense of humor.
So, of
course
she had the biggest crush in the world on him. What woman wouldn't? In crude terms, he was every straight woman's wet dream come true, and all the women in the building constantly fawned over him and competed for his attention. Julia and Nick also had so much in common, from the music they liked to their taste in shows and movies to their political and religious beliefs, and they got along extremely well.
But Julia never seriously considered even the remote possibility that anything would happen between them, not even for a second. For one thing, she was married, and she took her vows extremely seriously. She would
never
cheat on her husband, no matter what. Also, Nick was
way
out of her league. She wasn't ugly, far from it - in fact, even when she was at her most critical, she would still be able to admit that she was a fairly attractive woman. She was 27 years old with long brown hair and a pretty face, although she was very conscious of her imperfections, minor though they were. She wasn't as skinny as she wanted to be, but she couldn't have been described as heavy, either. Her husband always raved about her body, and she knew she possessed some very attractive feminine proportions and assets: well-shaped legs, a curved waist, a flat tummy, ample breasts, a nicely rounded butt, and healthy, tight skin. Despite this, she always felt like there was a tiny bit too much softness and squishiness to her. She figured she'd have the perfect body if she lost 10 to 15 pounds. She always intended on doing something about it, but never found the motivation.
But all in all, she knew most men would consider her above average in the looks department. On a scale from one to ten, she knew that her husband, who adored her, would have pegged her as a ten on her worst day. If she was being honest with herself, she would have considered herself in the high sevens, which wasn't too shabby considering the fact that she wasn't as young as she once was and was competing against all the women in their geographical area. But there was the rub - on a scale from one to ten, Nick would have scored as a twenty-six, the type of guy who would have supermodels throwing themselves at him. There was absolutely no competing with the women Julia regularly observed pining over him and trying to win his attention.
Nevertheless, she did sometimes wonder about Nick's feelings for her. Ever since her first day on the job, he would flirt with her, a
lot
. And, especially in those first couple weeks, his flirting would be brimming with overtly sexualized comments and suggestions that they spend time together outside the office. He made it pretty clear where he intended these encounters to lead to in the end, and - knowing this - Julia couldn't help but feel tempted by these offers, deep down inside. But she knew it wasn't right for a married woman to do, so she would muster up all the willpower she had and turn him down.
"I don't think my husband would like that very much," she would say, despite her frequent daydreams and fantasies where things took a considerably different turn. Or: "Sorry, but I'm married."
Nick would always respond playfully to her denials, as if this was just his way of making a good-natured joke and that Julia was someone he felt comfortable enough around to employ that kind of humor, and this made her think these offers may not have been genuine. He was flirtatious toward many of the women he encountered, after all. Eventually, she just accepted that this was how he would be with any woman who worked so closely with him, and he was the type of guy who could easily get away with it without getting into trouble. And, since Julia absolutely
adored
this kind of attention from a man like Nick, she wouldn't have it any other way.
Even though she never seriously considered the possibility of anything happening between them, she loved working for Nick. She loved everything about it. The workload was easy - mainly just phone calls, filing, and taking notes - but in reality, she just loved being around him. She loved the attention she got from him when he flirted with her and the way it made her feel as a woman - a way neither her husband nor any of her past boyfriends had ever made her feel, although she would never admit that to herself. She loved doing things for Nick and following his orders and being praised by him for whatever it was that she did, menial though it was. She loved their frequent banter and the way he could always make her laugh. She loved just basking in his presence and hearing him talk.
And so she had been overjoyed when he asked her to accompany him to lunch that day. They did get to talk a lot and joke around during the workday, but this would be the first time they would be out together without the constant threat of interruptions like phone calls, visits by clients, or looming deadlines. Also, this wasn't like his other invitations, which sounded like they were obviously intended as a springboard for activity of the horizontal variety, which she had no choice but to turn down as a married Christian woman - this was just lunch. It was nothing a married woman couldn't do, or something she should feel guilty about. There was nothing more normal and above-board than a secretary being taken out to lunch by her boss.
They left at 11 o'clock, and Julia of course had an amazing time. They talked nonstop, and Nick had her constantly laughing at their inside jokes or engrossed in his dramatic stories. They were having such a good time, in fact, that nearly two hours had passed before they were finally ready to head back to the office. Nick took a final bite of his sandwich after paying the bill, and - in the process - he accidentally dripped mustard on his shirt. They both shared a laugh at him and his unexpected clumsiness, which wasn't a trait he typically demonstrated. And then, in the car, he asked Julia if it would be okay for them to stop at his apartment building - which was on the way - so he could replace his shirt. Julia knew he had a very important meeting this evening with a prospective client and would want to look his best, so she whole-heartedly agreed without a second thought.
Nick lived in the city's premier high-rise residential building which was located downtown not far from the office. Julia wasn't quite sure what to expect as they pulled into his reserved parking space in the underground garage. She wondered if she should just assume that he wanted her to accompany him inside, or whether he would expect her to wait in the car. But Nick demystified that instantly when he nonchalantly offered to give her a quick tour of his home.
And that's how she found herself in Nick's sprawling, lavishly furnished penthouse apartment. Strangely, almost as soon as they had passed through the front door, Julia gradually became aware of a peculiar feeling deep within her - like butterflies in her stomach. It reminded her of the kind of feeling she used to have before she was married, when she had been dating, looking forward to an encounter with a new man. She wasn't quite sure where they came from, and she didn't pay it much thought.
Nick's apartment was just as impressive as she might have imagined. All the rooms were spacious and ornate with high ceilings and an incredible collection of furniture, all of it unique, and most of it priceless antiques by the look of them. And, virtually every piece of furniture - not to mention the countless items and trinkets that adorned the walls or were enclosed in display cases or placed on shelves throughout the apartment - seemed to have an incredibly interesting story behind it. Nick's apartment was like a museum of his life, and he was by far the most interesting man she had ever known, so she could have spent hours there. She almost regretted how he sped through it, only showcasing the most notable items and giving her the most abridged versions of their history. Nick showed her the living room first, then the balcony with its amazing vista, then the kitchen and dining room, and then his home office.
Nick ultimately led the way to a room they hadn't seen yet - the master bedroom, which was dominated by a magnificently ornate four-post antique bed. Julia couldn't help but feel a twinge of excitement at being here in this room in particular. She suspected that her husband would probably not appreciate the fact that she was in another man's bedroom, which made it feel somewhat naughty and forbidden and thus exciting.
