Bill was pissed off again. It seems his 18-year-old life has gone to shit over the past few months. This was a senior year in high school. It was supposed to be the best year of his life. Football season had just started, and several colleges were already making inquiries based on his last years performance. 3A All State Quarterback his junior year.
Halfway through the first scrimmage, his whole offensive line missed their assignments. He was simultaneously hit by three lineman and one linebacker. He ended up on the bottom of the pile of bodies. He had no major injury, but the many minor ones would keep him out most of this season. Concussion, dislocated right shoulder, hyperextended left knee, twisted right ankle, three broken fingers in his right hand, along with multiple scrapes and bruises were the injuries he received.
Second, his oldest sister caught her husband cheating, and they separated. This wasn't particularly bad for Bill except that she moved back home with her three toddlers. A new born girl, a terrible two boy, and a four-year-old boy. He was forced to give up his room to the boys and move into the basement.
After two weeks of stressed dates and tense outings with his longtime girlfriend. She announces last week that their Halloween plans had been canceled. Telling him her family was going out of town over the weekend.
Today he was Shanghaied and told he was taking his nephews trick-or-treating. About the only good thing about his costume would be that he would not be recognized. His mother, did an extremely good job with all their makeup as Gru with his two minions. His bald wig, fake nose, and padded suit hid his features well. Little Davy even talked like a minion.
His mother was going to help him by driving and sitting in his sister's car while he walked with the boys. His sister car already had the car seats. The trick-or-treaters had stopped at a few houses on the opposite side of town. Almost filling their buckets with sugared sweets. They had stopped at a fast-food restaurant to grab food to take home to the rest of the family. His mother would stay in the car with Tom as he and Davy would go in and pickup the order.
Upon entering Bill noticed few of his teammates sitting at one of the back tables. He started over that direction to visit when the topic of their conversation stopped him short.
"...can't believe that asshole. Doug is a lying piece of shit. No way is he stealing Carla from Bill."
"Bullshit I seen them making out at a party two weeks ago. Again, the morning that she told him she was going out of town this weekend. The bitch even went out with Doug that very night." Said Jane one of the few girls at the table and supposedly Carla's BFF.
"So what? Doesn't matter anymore football sucks. Even if Bill doesn't kill them and starts playing again, we only have a few games left and at this point we have no chance of making the playoffs."Bill had heard enough got their order and his nephew and started heading out. When one more comment caught is attention.
"Are we all going to the party at Amy J's house tonight."
As the others confirmed, "Yes!"
Bill felt another sense of rejection of having not been invited or even heard about the party. Amy J had graduated last year. She was still in the area going to the local college. Any other time, Bill would have been one of the first ones invited to a party like this. These people were supposed to be his friends. He had even returned to practice the first part of the week and still hadn't heard about the party.
When they got back to their neighborhood, Bill, and little Davy, were going to stop by few houses before returning home to eat. It was the second house they stopped at Bill was struck by a bolt of lightning from a goddess. The door was answered by enchanting young woman. She was wearing a dark blue hooded cape that was held closed at the top by big pink bow. Streams of blond hair escaping from underneath the hood. The bottom would come apart when she moved. It would open displaying a lot of long leg, from the high heels she wore with laces that wrapped up to the top of her calves. All the way up to hem of a mid-thigh blue skirt.
"I recognize this little minion from down the street. You must be the brooding uncle that lives in the basement? Gru!"
"Definitely no... como un burro here." Bill muttered staring at her lovely face.
"Uhm, what did you say?"
"Nothing just trying to stay in character," smiled Bill thinking, 'I bet she has a nice ass though.' Out loud he stated. "I would think brooding or not I should have noticed you living around here."
"Oh, I don't live here. My parents' home is a couple hours away. I'm attending the local college now and visit my aunt whenever I get a chance, this is her house."
Davy broke in asking what she was before Bill could reply.
"I am one of Cinderella fairy godmothers," she replied.
