Drugs, sex, and a night forgotten.
Part 2
Later that evening as we sat on the couch watching TV, Lucy made a call to her new beau-friend. She started to get up and leave the room, but I stopped her. "Whatever you have to say to him you say it in front of me, or it doesn't get said." My demand surprised my wife, but she set back down next to me and continued her conversation with her fuck buddy from last night.
From time to time I could see her grin or crack a smile at something he said. Several minutes into the call Lucy held the phone against her chest and asked when she could see him again. I didn't want this thing they have for each other to become a habit instead of an occasional tryst. We see Kevin enough as it is, and I don't want Lucy to get carried away with her new boy toy. I appreciate the free medicine he provides, but I need to keep a tight grip on her. Too much of a good thing, especially drugs and sex can mess anybody up. No matter how strong they are.
I told Lucy that we'll see him at Brent's party next week. I hinted that we could party at our house after we leave Brent's. She gave me a quick kiss and told Kevin the game plan. Happy wife....happy life as they say.
As Brent's party got closer on the calendar Lucy became more and more anxious, perhaps a little nervous to. My wife isn't good at hiding her emotions, but I could tell she was looking forward to seeing the young Kevin again. The night of the party my wife wore a chocolate brown dress that was as thin as a t-shirt and stopped at mid-thigh, and I could just make out a thong and athletic bra underneath the thin material. The gentile curves of her body are unmistakable and silhouetted by the thin cotton material of her bodycon dress. I like for my wife to be "eye candy." I'm proud of her beauty. I get a thrill when I see men google over her when we are out partying or at a bar drinking.
When we walked in the door of Brent's place Lucy garnered a lot of attention from the men, and the women. A sweater was draped across her arm in case she gets cold and to cover up the nipples of her breasts.....just in case.
We mingled with the crowd of people exchanging small talk. As we made our way around the rooms full of guests I began to wonder where Kevin was. His Subaru was already parked on the street when we arrived, so I know he's here, somewhere. Lucy and I went to the kitchen to refresh our drinks and that's when we found him. Lucy's new beau-friend had been hanging out in the kitchen smooth talking any women who would listen to him. When we walked in, and he saw Lucy, Kevin excused himself from his conversation with somebody's wife or girlfriend and made a beeline straight for us.
After they hugged and kissed Kevin didn't want to let go of my wife. I quickly reminded him that we are in public and to behave himself. Discretion is extremely important to me, so I positioned myself between them to avoid anybody putting 2 and 2 together.
I wouldn't say the young man dominated most of Lucy's time, but she did spend a lot of time speaking with him. Later in the evening I got pulled into a conversation about record collecting with another dude. We bantered back and forth in a lengthy debate over OG pressings versus new reissues of old recordings. I didn't know when Lucy and Kevin walked away, but they weren't standing by me when I finished my conversation!
Here I am in a house full of people. Loud music playing in the background, people getting drunk or high, some are dancing and some people are sitting around talking. The party is going strong, but I'm standing alone wondering were my wife is. I haven't seen her for a while, and it's starting to piss me off. There are all kinds of fun going on, but I find myself standing alone in the midst of all the revelry. Where in the hell did Lucy go?
The more I dwelled on her absence the madder I got. So I decided to roam through the crowd and look for her. It's too crowded for anyone to notice what I'm doing, so I started to discreetly look for my wife. I made my way down the crowded hall and looked in the bedrooms. No Lucy! She wasn't in the den or dining room either. With so many people in Brent and Nancy's home it was becoming more of a challenge than I thought it would be. But I wasn't going to give up until I found my wife.
I climbed the steps to go upstairs and look for her there. People were everywhere but not the person I'm looking for. Then it hit me in the face. Like a slap that brings you back to reality. I haven't seen her beau-friend Kevin either. Now I'm really getting pissed off! Where are they hiding?
One of my friends, a stand-up guy named Mark who knows Lucy and I very well walked up to me. He knows our history because back in the day he and his wife Pam were part it. We had a special couples friendship years ago that ran its course and ended because Pam was more into women than men.
Mark stood beside me and leaned in close to my ear and in a voice that only I could hear said, "I know you'd do the same for me, but they went to the kitchen and I haven't seen them since." I turned my head to look at him and with a frown on my face I nodded, and mouthed the words "thank you" and quickly went to the kitchen. There were several people mingling around but not my wife and Kevin. I even looked in Brent's garage, but she wasn't there either.
I opened the patio doors and slide outside to look around. I didn't see either of them. Walking to my car I saw that it was empty. Kevin drives a Subaru, so I found his car parked on the street, and they weren't there either. Where in the hell are they?
Back in the kitchen I grabbed a beer from the frig and leaned against the counter to have a think. "If they were last seen in the kitchen then they will probably return through the kitchen." Still leaning against the counter I waited....and waited, and waited. I was seeing red by now and anybody paying attention to me would have seen how mad I was getting.
People would come and go from the kitchen and nobody paid much attention to me standing against the counter. Occasionally someone would say "hello" or "what's up" as they took a drink from the frig not really wanting an answer. My only choice was to wait and see if my wife and Kevin would magically appear from wherever they were hiding. My patience was thin, but I continued waiting.
