Before anyone rushes to point out that my geography is all wrong in this or any other parts of my story, I would like point out that no intention is intended to mislead or otherwise, all information is obtained from the internet and I have done my best to approximate as near as possible.

After the Spa

David is laying on his back with Olivia slumped cross him, a silly grin pasted across her face. He thought back to what he had been thinking earlier about being enough for her, he reasoned that he had to be enough, no other idea is conscionable, then he thought back to the 10 years they had shared together and he realises that his wife was driven, she funnelled her passionate and focused mind on whatever she was doing. Before slowing down her working hours, she had put everything into building their business, often it had been exhausting or stressful but in the beginning they had still found time for them. Then as days and months went by, the work seemed to take over completely and the only time they had together was weekends. It was the same for both of them and even weekends were often interrupted. He wondered if it had been worth giving up their best years for.

Then an idea struck him, what if she is focused on something else, at least until the baby came. He knew he is going to have trouble with her on their vacation but that he thought he could deal with, having nothing else to take him away from her. And once she had a demanding baby he suspected that even her cup would run over. What to do now? Then it hit him.

"Babe, I know it's not a good time but while we are alone," she raised herself up so that she could look him in the face. [His body also noticed how her nipples stroked along his chest as she did so.]

"Mmm?" she allowed.

"I am wondering if you would take over the Farm project, the design and implementation. I have my hands full negotiating the financing and making sure the golf club project doesn't affect our new home and I will also need to spend time with Michael when he arrives. What do you think?"

"Let me think on it, I am going to need the others to take over everything else here, but I don't think that's a problem, if necessary the new work we have coming up can be delayed for a while. 'What me?' his face said but he isn't about to argue; it might be a busy evening. Before then his wife deserves more punishment and she giggles as he lifts her astride him.

They are of course rushing by the time they realise how long they'd been upstairs, David left her to get everything ready after quickly pulling his clothes back on but when she arrives in the kitchen he had to keep grabbing her and kissing her, naturally so. They did make something of a start with preparations, David hurries around collecting chairs and extending their table to its maximum length whilst Olivia got out glasses and cups, table mats and cutlery then began on the food.

The ladies are fortunately slightly later than expected but Bree immediately took charge organising Ana, Jane, and Jo into preparing and bringing out the food. Olivia welcomed their visitors again and got them to sit around the table then sat to chat with them. She notice that one or two of the visitors where fascinated by how smoothly everyone co-ordinates together in the kitchen. Ver continues to seem perplexed by Jo's integration as she ducked and weaved her way between the others, carrying prepared dishes to the table and helping where needed.

"What's up Ver" Olivia asks her, "I'm in shock" she replies, "She doesn't seem like the same person that I dressed such a short while ago, I think I'm jealous."

Olivia just smiles to herself and looks around at the women, they all seem relaxed and at ease with one another and it is good to see. "I think we've probably said this several times but I just want to invite you all again to our first party. We have a little meeting when we are all together and high on our agenda is building up new social connections. Jane for example has lost most of her friends because her husband controlled so much of their activities."

"What kinds of things do you talk about at your meetings?" Asks Marlene.

"Well last time we discussed whether we thought our numbers might increase and the limitations of this house and that led to deciding that we would pool resources to look for somewhere better. Then we discussed how men might fit into our situation."

Several eyebrows rise at that.

"Well we want women first of all to be safe if they want to stay here, so that blocks any idea of men living here full time except David. But that's one of the reasons we want to get our social scene improving so that men can be part of our circle. You know that your invitation to the party does include bringing friends, partners, whatever, but we aren't too keen on married men without their wives for obvious reasons."

"Then we discussed things like setting up our company, next was social events and celebrations we could have, things we need to buy. We have a vacation coming up that we've been working on so that was discussed. We always have a little photo session and we'd very much like to do one with you guys if you don't mind."

Olivia decides to keep away from anything controversial such as their Kinks. "There is one rule we insist on and that is what is said and done in this house stays in this house." The visitors sat and thought about that but surprise her by not responding.

"Having said all that I am sure you've lots of conversations that I interrupted so I'll let you resume, please make yourself at home. If you want to drink and would rather not drive there are 2 spare bedrooms upstairs and you are welcome to sleepover. I think I've covered everything and the other ladies look like they have everything in hand so hopefully we can all sit down together soon." She turned to look for David and called him over, "One very last but most important thing, for those of you who don't know, this is David whom I'm sure you've heard a lot about." David wanders around the table and welcomes each and every one with a smile and a hand shake.

As it transpires the only person who stays is Louise who chats long into the evening, of all of their visitors she is the one who seemed beforehand to be vulnerable and hurting the most, although Marlene and Ver dally some time making their mind up.

The Farm Project progresses

Friday is a busy day, in the morning they decide to have their party the following weekend, as it is the last opportunity before their holiday. With everyone else out she realises that some might have to wait until Saturday.

Olivia decides to make an early start on measuring the farmhouse and arrange keys from the Realtors office as early as she could, Bree said she would come with her to help where she could, so Olivia leaves her to make arrangements. Ana comes down looking so remarkably well that David is delighted, even more so when she gave him a luscious kiss. Jo, Ana, and David all head off to their work places. Louise is there for breakfast before rushing off to change clothes for work, they invite her back for dinner that evening and suggested that she packed some clothes in a case, should the evening run late as usual. There is talk of visiting the club either that evening or Saturday, "So bring enough for an evening out and overnight," she is told, and she didn't decline. Ana is leaving about the same time and spoke quietly to her saying, "Dress to kill, we all do and it drives David mad with worry, ok?" And she nods her agreement, looking a lot more upbeat than she had the previous night.

David starts his day with a call to Michael. "How is it going?" he asks.

"I'm working on the assumption that I'll be moving as soon as the property purchase is tied up which the Realtor says is moving along quickly, evidently there's a waiting list for our type of house so there's been something of a price war. Our purchase is also underway so I have my fingers crossed, so all that can go wrong is if Sarah decides to be contrary. I've left it all with my Lawyer."

"Any chance you can come to our party next weekend?" asks David, "Its Devils and Succubus theme" so you'll need a Devils costume I'm afraid. There will be lots of unattached people here so you won't be lonely I'm sure. Besides, you already know Olivia and met the staff from our Office, albeit briefly."

"I'll see what I can do, it may be possible to kill two birds with one stone, so to speak."

Signing off, David turns to the complicated matter of the joint venture, separating off the farm from the golf course land and the joint finance of the farm and subsequent development work. He decides to set up a meeting as soon as possible between Janes family, his own and the legal advisors to see if they can't deal with any issue in one go. First he phones his father to see where he is at with the idea. Unexpectantly, his father is full of enthusiasm, "Wish you'd come to me first" he says.

"Sorry" David responds, "There is no intention really, it's just that Janes property is tied up in some kind of Trust and she wants to invest in the Farm without selling her house, which I fully understand and am hoping to do myself."

"That sounds prudent," says his Dad, "if everything goes pear shaped you'll have a bolt hole."

"I suppose that that's a proper worst case scenario to consider, but I also see property rents and prices doing so well here that I think it's just a good investment to retain."
