Courtney Kandel couldn't help but be excited about tonight. She would not only get to see Anthony all dressed up and looking amazing, but the dress she had bought for the wedding was smoking hot. She tingled in anticipation just thinking of Anthony's eyes following her around the reception.
Courtney and Allison had been best friends their entire lives. They had gone all the way from grade school to high school together. They had even applied to the same colleges hoping to matriculate together. Together, they helped each other graduate from the same college and both found jobs near Sacramento together. They trusted each other and loved each other like sisters.
This afternoon both Courtney and Allison were attending the wedding of a mutual friend with the reception following tonight. Courtney was single at the moment, but Allison was bringing her boyfriend, Anthony.
Allison started dating Anthony about a year ago. From the first moment she met Anthony, Courtney had harbored an enormous crush on Anthony. He was not fat, but stocky, with just the right amount of meat on his chest. He was almost six feet tall with blonde hair. She knew right away that she was attracted to him, but it was simply attraction. It took her a while to admit that she actually had a crush on him. Of course, she would never do anything to hurt Allison, but she could secretly delight if the two of them ever separated. There was no harm in that, right?
Allison Finley worked as an Associate Editor of a magazine based in Sacramento. Also at the magazine was Chad Tarven, the food critic. Allison was attracted to Chad, but had only been able to get to know him a little bit because he was often out doing critiques in town or elsewhere in the state. He was a somewhat abrasive, yet very charismatic man who was hardly ever in the office, so when the Christmas party rolled around and Chad confirmed he was going to be there, Allison became very excited.
The Christmas party came and Chad brought with him his brother Anthony. Allison tried all night to gain Chad's attention, but only succeeded in attracting Anthony. After finally breaking down and conversing with Anthony, she realized that he was very charming. Actually, he was pretty attractive, too. They went on their first date a few weeks later and hit it off pretty well.
Allison never forgot about Chad, though, and jumped on any excuse she could to invite her boyfriend's brother along with them when they went out. Birthdays, group events, sports outings, or anything that could remotely be considered not too "date-like."
Allison was both surprised and heartbroken when Anthony got the invitation to Chad's wedding. She had no idea that Chad was even seeing anyone. She found that she was glad she was dating someone (even if it was Chad's brother) so that could try and forget her infatuation with a great deal of sex, which was always really great with Anthony. She was also glad that Chad had met Courtney because now her best friend would be with her at the wedding. Maybe her boyfriend and her best friend would keep her from crying too much.
Courtney took her time getting dressed. She wanted to look amazing. She wanted to dance and strut and tease Anthony, but she couldn't do it outright. She wanted Anthony to want her, but she didn't want him to know she wanted him. She also didn't want anyone else to know of her quiet attraction. Of course, she would never do anything to hurt Allison, but the thought of Anthony masturbating and thinking of her got her very wet. She definitely thought of him when she was alone and touching herself.
The plan was for Courtney to ride with Allison and Anthony to the wedding. Once Courtney was finally satisfied with her appearance, she got in her car and drove to Allison's house.
Allison was very frustrated. Her hair wouldn't lay down the way she wanted it to. Her makeup was running and showing up more brightly on her face than it ever had in her life. She had picked out a beautiful and classy, yet very sexy dress, but she couldn't get the lint off of it and it was wrinkled. She skipped lunch, so she was hungry, and she was developing a very bad headache. Above everything else, Anthony was being a fucking asshole and not helping her at all.
"Anthony, Jesus Christ!" Allison couldn't help but yell at him. If he would just help her, things would go so much more smoothly. "You've been ready for an hour and I look like shit! Will you please iron my fucking dress?"
Anthony walked into the bedroom looking very exhausted. "Babe, you look beautiful. Why are you still messing with your hair?" He looked at the dress on the hanger on the door. "Your dress isn't wrinkled at all. I guess I could give it a once over with the lint roller, but it hardly needs that."
"You guess? Jesus, just do it! I'm trying to prevent walking into the church looking like I just rolled out of bed. I really need your help. Will you please just fucking help me and stop bitching about everything?"
Anthony put his hand on her shoulder. "Yeah, babe. I'll run the lint roller over your dress. Just try and calm down. You look so beautiful. You really have nothing to worry about."
Allison put her hand on his. His hand was always such a comfort. It felt good. Allison actually managed to calm down a little. "Thanks, honey. Thanks for helping me out. I'll stop shouting at you. I just want to have some fun tonight."
Anthony smiled at her and kissed her on the head.
The doorbell rang.
"I'll get it," Anthony said as he left the room.
Allison sighed in frustration at her messed up hair and the fact that she had to run the lint roller herself now.
Courtney felt her panties moisten a little when Anthony opened the door. He looked better than she imagined he would in his black suit. His white dress shirt had the top two buttons unbuttoned. His neck looked so inviting.
"Hi Anthony!" Courtney smiled at him.
Anthony smiled back. "Hey there, Courtney." They hugged. "Come on in." She did and he closed the door behind her. "Allison is upstairs getting dressed. I think she's a little stressed. We don't really do anything fancy very often."
"Oh, she's just being a girl. You should have seen me when I was getting ready." She wished he really was there before she had gotten dressed. "I'll go help her out. We'll be down soon, I'm sure." She smiled at him again and went to go find her friend.
Allison smiled when Courtney walked into the room. Allison really loved her best friend and they were always happy when they were together. It also just so happened that Courtney could make anyone smile. She was so beautiful. She had soft black hair that was parted off center and fell just past her shoulders. Her skin was perfectly pale and smooth. Her breasts were larger than Allison's, as any man would tell you. She was wearing a black dress tonight with little straps that fell to just above her knees. Allison was not insecure with herself, but Courtney could make anyone jealous.
"Hey slut," Allison said. That was their relationship. Friendly ribbing over a mountain of friendship.
Courtney smiled back. "Hey bitch."
"Will you help me out? Anthony is being so uncooperative. He won't do anything I ask him to. He just keeps telling me how beautiful I am and how I don't need to fix anything at all."
"Poor baby!" Courtney's reply was sarcastic. "How awful for you to have a great guy who tells you how beautiful you are."
"Yeah, well, I still need help." Allison smiled. "Will you please help me?"
"Of course. What do you need?"
Courtney walked into the Reception Hall by herself. Anthony was in the wedding party, so Allison had to sit near the front, which also meant that Courtney had been all by herself during the ceremony. It worked out well, though, because Courtney just stared at Anthony the whole damn time and daydreamed. It was a lengthy ceremony. Courtney almost had to go to the restroom a few times to relieve the tingling and moisture. Eventually, the bride and groom kissed and everyone was invited to the Reception next door.
Searching for Allison, Courtney wandered for a few minutes before she saw her friend across the room and started making her way over.
Allison looked beautiful, Courtney had to admit. Long and flowing strapless red dress with fantastic matching pumps. Perky and envious breasts. Beautifully tanned, silky smooth skin. Dirty blonde hair that fell straight to her shoulders. A smile that would melt anyone's heart. Courtney really was lucky to have such a beautiful woman as her best friend.
Standing with Allison was Anthony. Immediately, the tingling and moisture returned. Courtney had another small daydream as she made her way across the room.
Allison was still looking for Chad when Courtney came walking up.
"Hi guys!" Courtney smiled really big. She hugged Allison and Anthony and then stood next to Allison. "What's going on?"
Allison met her friend's smile with one of her own. "I'm looking for the bride and groom. I want to congratulate them while the night is young." She was scanning the crowd. The bride was here, but Chad was nowhere to be seen.
"Wow, it is night, isn't it?" Courtney sounded amused. "That was a long ceremony." Where was he? Shouldn't he be at his own reception? Isn't this kind of rude?
"You're telling me. I had to stand the whole time. At least you girls got to sit down!" Anthony and Courtney both laughed.
Allison was getting frustrated. "Do you guys see them? They should be here."
"There's the bride right there," Anthony pointed out. "I don't see Chad, though. Dumb bastard isn't showing up to his own reception."
Allison sighed. "I know, right? How rude! He should be here!"
Anthony looked at her. "Damn, babe. I was just joking. I'm sure he'll be here. Are you ok?"
"Yeah, I'm fine." Allison looked at Courtney and Anthony, who were both looking at her. "I'm going to go congratulate the bride and then see if I can't find the groom. Maybe he's sick? Post wedding bugs or something."
"I'm sure he's ok, Al," Courtney said. "Stay with us and have some fun."
Allison tried to force a laugh. She wasn't sure if it was convincing or not. "I'll be right back, guys. Geez."
"Alright, babe," Anthony seemed contented. "We'll be around."
Allison kissed her boyfriend and walked off.
Courtney watched her friend walk away. "I wonder if she's genuinely concerned for the groom's welfare or if she's just stressing still."
"I don't know," Anthony looked concerned. "She's been really tense for the past couple of weeks. I'm beginning to wonder if she's not happy with me anymore."
As much as Courtney would have loved to think that Allison might be breaking up with Anthony soon, the two friends spoke often and Courtney knew that Allison loved Anthony very much, as often from her directly saying it as the way she spoke of him. "I'm sure she's just stressed, Anthony."
