The voice caused me to jump in place. It was someone I easily recognised. I looked over, and sure enough, Eisa was staring at us. Is there any sort of special occasion?"

Nova was a human, one who dressed in a somewhat typical punkish style. While she was undeniably close with Eisa, their relationship was bizarre to look at. The two of them argued about

everything.

Little things like which anime had stronger characters, big things like geo-political conflicts, and everything imaginable that was in-between. "In any case," Kay interrupted, "I'm glad the two of you could make it. Hanging out with friends is always fun."

There was a bit of an awkward silence as I felt everyone trying not to stare at me. Although I'd said it jokingly, Kay had a serious expression. "There's something I found when I was rooting in the files of the Subroutine Manager. Specifically, about when and where it was installed." She took a deep breath, looking me dead in the eye. "Lina, that cafe is where the app was first downloaded onto you."
