"You're a prick Charlie." Sage McClendon was screaming, standing beside their pool, a lavish construction that all but dwarfed the rear of their three story home outside of Scottsdale Arizona.
Charlie was Sage's third husband, rich as he was, he was void of any sort of a sense of humor. He was twenty years older, a workaholic and no sense of adventure either.
Sage. On the other hand, was twenty eight and a stunning sight in her lime green bikini and short red hair. A tall statuesque woman who could have been a very successful model had she not preferred to marry well and just work at having fun instead.
"It's just for kicks." She called out but Charlie had retreated somewhere deep into the house. She flopped onto a chase lounge and waved at Lea, one of the house maids who stood at the ready behind the small outdoor bar during these hot afternoons. Lea swirled a pitcher of martinis and brought it along with a glass over to Sage. She poured a drink and handed it to Sage.
Sage downed the drink in her left hand while her right signaled for Lea to hold tight because an empty would soon need refilling. And she did and it was. Lea retreated a few feet and remained quiet.
"You would think the prick would be a little more considerate." Sage said.
Lea, still quiet.
"I suppose you're taking his side?" Sage asked.
"No Ms." Lea finally offered.
