"Sex is a relationship you have with yourself before you involve other people," Erica said into her phone. She continued her podcast. "You bed yourself. You stimulate yourself. You entertain yourself."
"You acquire your sexuality based on personality and desire. Through sex you show your moral and ethical styles. Are you attached to tradition or freedom?"
Erica hates when people speak on morals and the first thing they bring up is sexual boundaries. However, there indeed is an (unpopular) correlation.
"You aren't exploring yourself fully if you aren't exploring sex as well. You don't have to be having it. Develop a persona that exemplifies your energy. How do you want to use your private parts? It can connect to your psyche in ways you haven't thought of!"
Erica saw herself as one of the hoe type activists. Not limited by that, she did believe in sexual liberation.
"What I mean by 'how do you use your private parts' is how do you interact with the people you have sex with? Are you intentional and doting? Are you neglectful? Soul ties come from promises that were supposed to be empty! You're signing contracts with your words and emotions. I don't get soul ties, I can be very platonic even when sexually involved."
"Be intentional in how you think of your sex life. That's how you think of yourself and others." She ended her podcast episode.
Erica was having a good day, she had made progress in several projects that day. Erica is an eclectic research analyst and information scientist. She chooses her own topics and makes all of her money blogging, podcasting, and other content creating.
Sex is a good topic for her because of her personal life, but a few of her other concentrations are neurolinguistics, religion and spirituality, self improvement, activism, and history. Erica has always been a smart worker and takes education very seriously.
Erica wrapped up then got ready to go run errands. When she went to the beauty supply, she ran into a girl she was involved with.
"Hey Erica," a tall, thick, brown skinned woman with a lavender wig greeted her.
"Hey Kim," Erica replied. "Love the hair, that's a nice color on you."
Erica really needed to learn how to be more forward.
Kim was the first woman Erica had ever been with. Her thick lips had slurped Erica's red vagina like a popsicle. But Kim was for the streets. Erica really liked her as a friend, and didn't much mind the distance. She was a hoe too.
"Thank you," Kim said.
Erica left the beauty supply and went on to Walmart. There she ran into a guy she had a crush on in school, Antoine. They had a similar, short transaction. Erica finished her errands and went back home.
She checked her Google Keep and Docs to see her outstanding projects and went to work wherever her brain latched first.
"Sahasrara," Erica read from her notes. "The crown chakra. This is where we are connected to God(s), and our higher and lower selves."
"Consciousness, the soul, spirit, and subtle body is a subject neuroscientists aren't fully exploring if they don't believe in spirituality or religion. Many things will be a mystery to you if you need a rich, white, old man's co-sign to discern a fact."
"Hindu people know all about the soul. They know about karma and dharma, so they know about our full life cycles. You're not bound by your present tense."
