Sara inherited a very nice log cabin back up a creek in rural Georgia a year ago and we had been to it several times. We both loved it and decided we had to live there. If you know where Lenox, Georgia is, you can't get to our cabin from there. I am kidding. You can but it isn't easy.
It is a ways north east from Lenox in a round about way. All rural black area. What I might call back woods backward black folks. Good people but not very trusting of the white folks. Which was fine as we didn't really want to neighbor with anyone black or white.
I am a writer and have been somewhat successful at it. I have now published 7 novels and am working on my 8th. I have a good following, so I have made good money doing it. My wife of 12 years, Sara is a home decorator. And has also been very successful at it. She does mostly over lays from home. But she has gone out and actually done some homes on site. Once you get fiber to the home you can do anything you can anyplace else. It cost me dearly to get fiber run up to our cabin, but it has been worth every penny.
Sara has found her perfect home in the mountains of Georgia. Nearly every afternoon she hikes back up the mountain to look for flowers, nuts and watches the wildlife. She is usually gone 4 to 7 hours. I worried about her when she first started doing it. But I have gotten used to her adventures.
As her adventures continued, she and I both began to learn more and more about the area around out mountain home. She came home from a extra-long jog one day and told me we have a small town back up on the ridge behind us.
"So, what have you found up there."
"A church, a small store, and several families live back in there."
"What type people are they Sara?"
"They are black families, David. The minister and his wife and kids. The man who runs the store and his wife. A man who does blacksmithing, his wife and sons. And three or four families I haven't met yet."
"They seem like nice people Sara?"
"Yes, I like them all lots so far."
Sara was gone nearly every day for about three weeks before I ask about her friends back up on the mountain. She smiled and nodded.
"I like them a lot, David. They have some strange ways, but it all seems natural to them, and the rules are all made by Reverend Charles."
"Strange in what way Sara?"
"Well, it seems natural to them but strange to us. After ten am the women all wear nothing but a simple very short skirt."
"And what kind of top do they wear?"
Sara smiled.
"They don't, their breasts hang completely bare, and no one seems to care. Although I have seen Masey the Reverend's wife spend time with the blacksmiths 3 boys. I ask him what Masey was doing with the young men, and he patted my shoulder and said she was attending some of their needs as a wife should. You don't think his wife was fucking them, do you?"
"Well did anything happen to make you wonder?"
"Well one of the young men did come out of where they had gone. He was naked and his very large penis was kind of hard and he pissed on a tree and went back inside."
"Did he see you?"
"Yes, he looked right at me. And he smiled. Then he asks if I was going to join their church."
"Has Reverend Charles asked you to join their church?"
"Yes, he has asked if I would like to become a member."
