Davos sat contemplating a cup of tea sitting before him with his hands resting over his mouth. Then something happened, Davos wasn't there for it, but learned that in the aftermath she broke it off with William, the man who was courting her.

At first, he thought that this would be his chance at being with Elaine but then he saw how much it affected her and was more than happy to just be a friend. He didn't want to be the rebound or the one that swooped in when she was vulnerable, he wanted to be her choice.
