This is a work of fiction. This story involves an innocent girl who loses her virginity because of a debt. If any of that disturbs you, then you should stop reading now. Any similarity to real names or real people is coincidental. Constructive comments are always welcome, but please read the whole story to the end before you comment.
My philosophy is that a story should be like a woman's skirt. It should be long enough to cover the subject, but short enough to keep it interesting. I try to do that in my stories. You may or may not agree with me as to where I should end a story, but know that I end each story where I think it should end.
Nobody in this story was under 18 when they had sex.
Lilly had no idea what she was going to do. She had bought a bunch of new clothes on credit, and now she had no money to pay for the balance of what she owed. It seemed like a great plan at the time, but then she lost her job and had no income. That might not have been a problem, if she had used a regular loan from a bank to get the money, but she had borrowed from a "friend of a friend," who now threatened that bad things would happen if she couldn't pay the loan and interest in full. It turned out that this so-called friend was connected (and not in a good way).
She had no idea how she would repay the debt. Her parents were away on a trip visiting relatives in another state, and they would be gone at least another week. That would be too late. The debt was due the next morning. She did know that her brother, Rob, would be home from college that day, but she wasn't sure if he could, or even would, help her. Lilly and Rob never really mixed that much. She was always trying to be in the popular crowd (even though she didn't really have enough money to pull it off), and Rob was a nerd who never really cared what crowd he was in and just generally did his own thing.
Lilly only did what was absolutely necessary (which was her basic philosophy of life and why she had lost her job), while Rob always had side-hustles going. He was a techie, and he already had written and sold several software packages to some big companies. That was how he was able to afford college. Their parents would never have paid for that. Apart from being able to put himself through college, however, she had no idea how much money he had. Then again, Lilly didn't have a lot of other options of where she could get money, so she had to ask.
She had a few hours before Rob would be home, so Lilly decided to make him a nice dinner. Cooking was one of the few things that she did well, so she decided to pamper him with a nice meal before asking for his help. She searched through the cupboards and freezer and found the ingredients that she needed. She set about preparing dinner for her brother.
She was worried, though, that dinner wouldn't be enough. During a break in meal preparation, Lilly decided to prepare herself as well. She got a shower, put on light makeup and a touch of perfume, and put on a short dress. She had used her looks to get boys to do what she wanted before. Maybe it would work on her brother.
Lilly heard Rob pulling into the driveway just as she finished with herself. She ran out to welcome him home, which surprised him. Lilly rarely ever gave him hugs, so he immediately thought it was out of the ordinary. Rob may have been a nerd, but he wasn't naΓ―ve.
After the hug, Lilly said, "Put your things away. Dinner is almost ready."
Now Rob was sure that something was different. Lilly had never voluntarily cooked him dinner without being prompted by their mother. Nevertheless, Rob dragged his stuff to his room, and then came back to the kitchen.
Lilly was just pulling the lasagna out of the oven. The table was already set for the two of them, and there was garlic bread and two salads already there, along with an unopened bottle of red wine. Lilly brought the lasagna to the table and asked Rob to open the bottle of wine.
Although the family did sometimes have wine with their dinner, it was usually only on special occasions, and even then, only when their father got the wine out. Rob asked, "Are you sure that it is OK for us to be drinking Dad's wine?"
"I just thought you coming home was a special enough occasion to justify wine," she replied. "Would you rather not have wine with our meal?"
By now, Rob was sure that there was more to this than her just being happy to see him, but he wanted to see where this would play out so he replied, "No. Wine is fine," and he opened the bottle. He poured both of them full glasses of wine and toasted, "To a happy summer."
"I hope so," she replied and took a big drink of her wine after toasting him. The wine felt good in her throat, and she hoped that it would make it easier to ask him for a favor later. Her glass was soon empty, but Rob was attentive, and kept her glass filled. He wanted to know where this was leading.
During dinner, they talked about how their years had gone. Rob, of course, had aced all of his classes, and was working on several software projects on the side. Some were for the university and others were for software companies. Overall, his year had gone quite well. Lilly, on the other hand had barely squeaked through all of her classes, but had made the cheer squad. She thought that, overall, her year had gone well too for the most part.
Noticing that Lilly had once again emptied her glass, Rob refilled it for her and asked, "For the most part?"
Lilly emptied her glass again and replied, "Well, you know that money has always been an issue. I had a job at the Happy Market, but I lost it recently. Now, I have debts and no money to pay."
Rob once again refilled her glass and queried, "And what are you going to do about that?"
By that time, Lilly had consumed most of the bottle of wine, while Rob had barely touched his glass. Before continuing, Lilly took another swig. The wine did, indeed, make it easier for her to ask for this favor. "I made a mistake, Big Brother. I bought some things and borrowed money that I can't pay back."
"How much do you owe?" he asked.
"About eight hundred dollars," she replied. "They said that if I don't pay by tomorrow that they will send somebody to hurt me."
"Sounds tough," Rob replied. "What are you going to do about it?"
