Written over one pot of coffee, coz really, 750 words can barely do justice to an introductory sentence, here’s my little contribution, and do hope you enjoy…..

“Did you enjoy skiing, Jenny?” Mr. Day asks. We’re cleaning up after dinner in the lodge. He’s one of my teachers. I have a crush on him. He knows.

“Yes,” I say. “I’m sore though.”

He grins. “I’m going to soak in the hot tub, later. Join me.”

“It’s too crowded,” I say.

His grin grows. “At midnight.”

“Lights out is eleven,” I say.

He chuckles. “We’ll have it to ourselves.”

“What about the chaperones?” Seriously? I’m asking that?

“They’re old. They sleep early.”
