This is a work of fiction. This story involves an abnormal guy and non-consensual sex for virgins. If any of that disturbs you, then you should stop reading now. Any similarity to real names or real people is coincidental. Constructive comments are always welcome, but please read the whole story to the end before you comment.
My philosophy is that a story should be like a woman's skirt. It should be long enough to cover the subject, but short enough to keep it interesting. I try to do that in my stories. You may or may not agree with me as to where I should end a story, but know that I end each story where I think it should end.
Nobody in this story was under 18 when they had sex.
It was all due to an experiment gone completely and irrevocably wrong. Blue's parents were absolutely brilliant nuclear bio-chemists who enjoyed creating and combining new substances to see where they might lead.
As with everything in science, most of their experiments went nowhere, with no viable applications and no practical use. That didn't matter to them because they knew that even eliminating possibilities gained them knowledge, even if it was only knowledge of what didn't work. They thoroughly enjoyed their work.
The corporation they worked for, however, wanted practical, marketable results from every experiment, and even though they had created several patented products that the company was making money from, the money men running the company grew tired of failed experiments. It didn't seem to matter to the pencil pushers that the pair had earned the company hundreds of millions of dollars with products they had created. They were more interested in cutting back on employees and streamlining. That was when John and Elsie Summers left the corporate world to start their own lab.
With their own lab, they were no longer constrained by accountants who dictated what they worked on and when. They were free to pursue whatever interest that crossed their minds, and being brilliant, many new ideas crossed their minds. They had no doubt that they would be successful over time, and they were. Over the first several years, hundreds of experiments produced dozens of marketable products. Even those experiments that failed sometimes led to other ideas that succeeded.
Thus, it was that they came up with a new substance that seemed very promising. It was an accident, really. They had been fooling around with various types of fungus, and they had done some gene splicing to come up with a brand-new organism. Not only that, the new organism produced a liquid by-product that showed real promise. It was unlike anything either had seen before. It glowed blue. They named the substance XTC123.
One part of their process was extremely risky, although they didn't realize how risky it really was. As they often did, Elsie tasted the new substance. John had some as well, but not as much as Elsie. It was extremely sweet, which surprised them. Elsie's first thought was that this new substance might even be used as a new sweetening agent (after proper testing, of course). Even though it was a new compound, Elsie didn't believe there were anything harmful in it, so she consumed quite a bit of it during the testing phase. It seemed to make everything she ate or drank taste better.
It was during this time period that Elsie became pregnant with Blue. It was a rough pregnancy, with lots of vomiting, but Elsie didn't know enough about pregnancy in general to know that her pregnancy was a lot worse than normal. It was worrisome to her when she started to develop blue spots on her skin about halfway through her pregnancy. She immediately stopped all work on the new compound, but as it turned out, it was too late. It had already altered her body.
Being somewhat eccentric, John and Elsie decided to have a home birth, and the only person who would be in attendance was Elsie's sister, Sue, who was a qualified midwife. That turned out to be a fortunate decision. When Blue came, things did not go as planned. The first indication that something was different about the delivery was when Elsie's skin started to flash blue every time she had a contraction.
Sue had been caring for her sister throughout the pregnancy, so she had seen Elsie's blue flashes before, but they intensified throughout the pregnancy and even more during labor, Elsie's skin was now glowing neon blue. Of course, Elsie had sworn Sue to secrecy. She didn't want to become a lab rat in some government lab. Nor did she want her baby to become a lab rat.
The intense neon blue flashes scared Elsie's sister. Sue immediately wanted to get Elsie into a hospital, but Elsie refused. Even though this was completely outside of anything she had ever experienced, Sue agreed to continue helping her sister to get through labor and delivery. She asked Elsie and John to not hold her responsible for anything that went wrong because she had already recommended a transfer to a hospital. Of course, they agreed.
Sue's main concern was that things might occur during the delivery that she couldn't handle. She had no experience with anything like this, but it turned out that nobody else had any experience with anything like this either. This would be a very unique birth.
When Blue's head started to present, they noticed immediately that his skin was glowing neon blue. It wasn't the kind of blue that meant the baby had suffered a lack of oxygen, but that didn't mean that Sue wasn't still worried. She had never seen anything like this, and there was nothing on her laptop computer to help her. All she could do was deliver the baby as if nothing was wrong, but she knew in her heart that something was terribly wrong.
As the baby was born, it was immediately apparent that this was a baby like no other. At first, the baby glowed blue, and then it seemed to disappear completely, even though they could still feel it's skin. Then, the beby reappeared. Sue thought she might be losing her mind. Babies don't just disappear. She knew the baby was real. She could feel his warmth as she cleaned and wrapped him in a blanket.
John simply looked on in awe. He suspected that whatever this was, it was caused by XTC123, but he said nothing while Sue was there. When he witnessed the baby's color and then saw it seem to disappear, he knew they needed to change the baby's name. They had originally decided the baby would be named Dalton Barnes Summers, if it was a boy, but on seeing the baby, he said, "Welcome to the world, Dalton Blue Summers."
Those who knew their son (which were very few family members) would always just know him as Blue. As with most children, his full name was only used if he was in trouble. Caring for Blue would be interesting, to say the least. Of course, he was just like any other baby, in that he would be hungry, needed to be changed or just unhappy for no apparent reason. Elsie learned to keep a diaper on him at all times after he disappeared on the changing table. After she recovered from her panic attack, she just resolved to not ever let it happen again.
John and Elsie knew that they could never let anybody know about Blue's strange appearance. Yes, Sue did submit a birth certificate to make him official, but they knew they would never be able to send him to school or let him out in public. He would have been scooped up by the authorities, so they could study him. They didn't want that future for their son. When he was visible, he was a beautiful baby, even if he was blue.
They hired Sue full-time to help Elsie with the baby, which she agreed to provided that they would pay for medical school, so she could become a pediatrician. That worked out very well for John and Elsie. Their business (which John now basically ran by himself) was making tons of money, so that cost was no object. Since Sue already had an advanced nursing degree, medical school was fairly easy for her. Of course, she had to complete an internship and residency, but they worked around that. At first, she was just Blue's pediatrician, from which she learned more than from all of the classes in medical school, but then she opened an office and saw other patients as well. By the time Blue was full-grown, Sue had a thriving pediatric practice.
As Blue grew, Elsie home-schooled him. That, of course, meant that he received an education very heavily focused in advanced math and science, but not lacking in anything else either. Over time it turned out that Elsie was an excellent teacher as well as a brilliant scientist. With age, Blue gained more and more control over his body. He could appear or disappear at will, which became problematic for his parents.
When Blue shed his clothes, nobody could see anything, so his parents never knew for sure when he was there and when he wasn't. At first, they learned to pick up on clues like open doors and other indications of his presence, but then they put a tracking device on him that couldn't be easily removed. After that, they always knew where he was until he left for university.
In addition to being able to morph to his different states at will, Blue learned how to change his skin and hair color to appear normal to others. That made life a lot simpler for him and his parents. It turned out that Blue was quite handsome with tan skin and light brown hair (at least his parents and his aunt Sue thought so).
John tried to figure out how it all worked, but he soon gave up after Elsie chided him for using Blue as his own personal lab rat. One thing they did do, however, was to destroy all of the fungus and all but one small sample of XTC123 (just in case they ever needed to study it again). John also had a vasectomy. They didn't want a repeat performance. They loved Blue, but they knew his life would be hard.
