Victoria had gotten into a fight with her mom about college. Victoria went over to her best friend Alexis's house to talk to her about it, but she wasn't home. She had gone to a movie with her mom and little sister. Alexis's dad opened the door and greeted her. "What's wrong Vicky? You look upset."
Victoria looked down at her feet, avoiding eye contact with him. "Oh it's nothing. It's just. My mom and I got into a fight over school stuff."
"Oh. Well, do you wanna come in and talk about it?" He asked with his sincere, calming voice.
Victoria smiled and looked up at him." Sure Mr. Gray. I'd like that."
He led her to to the living room couch and told her to make herself at home. He asked her what she and her mom were fighting about, so Victoria explained it to him. She told him how nice it was for him to take the time and listen to her problems. "Don't worry about it Vicky. If you ever need anything, I'll always be here." He put his hand on Victoria's thigh. Which in turn made her start to feel all warm and fuzzy in certain places.
She smiled at him. "Thanks Mr. Gray. That means alot."
"Hey who is this Mr. Gray you keep mentioning? I've told you before, you can call me Dave."
She started giggling. "Ok. Sorry Mr. Gr-. I mean Dave." She leaned toward him and gave him a hug. She felt so good when he put his arms around her and kissed the top of her head. "Dave? Can I ask you something?"
"What is it Vicky?"
"Well, I was wondering, if uh. If um if you." She couldn't find the right words to say.
"If I what?"
Victoria started blushing and looked down at the floor. "Why is this so hard?" She took a deep breath and tried again. "Dave? Do you think I'm pretty?"
Dave smiled at her and softy rubbed her cheek. "I sure do. You're a very beautiful young girl Vicky. I bet you make your boyfriend very happy."
She smiled and looked down at the floor again. "I don't have I boyfriend, but there is this guy that I really have a crush on, but I'm too shy to ask him out."
Dave chuckled. "Well, a beautiful girl like you as no reason to be shy. You should ask him."
Victoria tried her hardest to look Dave in the eye, but it was hard for her. "I wish I could, but the guy that I like is older than me. Alot older than me and I don't want to get him in trouble."
"Why would you get him in trouble? You're 18. I got you that necklace you're wearing right now for your birthday."
She looked down at the necklace and started to rub it with her fidgety fingers. "It's not that. It's because he's a teacher and I had him when I was in highschool.
Dave started to anxiously rub his chin. "Well I hope it isn't someone that I know Victoria. A teacher could lose his job if someone were to find out he had a relationship with a student."
"Yeah, but the thing is, he's not my teacher anymore. So technically, I can date him if I wanted to, right?"
