My Golden Retriever dog requires frequent walks, so I am always taking him on different routes around the neighborhood. Often I take the back alleys; as it's off the front streets and there are always different things to see and look at. It keeps it interesting for both my dog and I.
People throw out the most amazing things, so you never know what you might find. Suffice it to say it's sort of like a miniature treasure hunt on every occasion. On one of our late night walks, I noticed something black lying off to the side in the distance. It was on top of the small snowbank left by the City plows passing through. At first I thought it might have been a winter hat or mitt dropped by a passerby; but as I got closer I realized it was actually a pair of discarded women's underwear. Carefully I picked them up and realized the black, thong style panties were frozen solid.
As I started to examine them, a garage door of a nearby house backing onto the alley opened.. I quickly stuffed the panties into my parka pocket and continued on. I stopped a few times under the dim light of the alley streetlights to excitedly examine my find. There were no telltale marks of a soiling accident of any kind, but suddenly my conservative and cautious side got the better of me. I began to wonder if it was such a great idea to pick up a stranger's discarded panties, let alone put them in my pocket; so I tossed them back onto the snowbank and headed off again.
