Dolores Larson reminded herself that the butterflies in her stomach were perfectly normal, everyone got a case of the jitters on their first day. She was eager to meet with her supervisor to begin orientation as the newest Employee Accountability Auditor at Mega-Huge Data Incorporated. MHDI was known as one of the highest paying corporations, but also one of the most demanding. Dolores had graduated college only a few weeks earlier and considered herself very lucky to have landed a position at MHDI that was somewhat related to her degree in Human Resources.

Dolores introduced herself to Adrian Flores, the Employee Accountability Auditor who would be training her. After the women exchanged a few pleasantries they got down to work, Adrian explained the work process to Dolores:

"The accountability system is always running in the background of each employee's computer. It tracks efficiency, accuracy, compliance with policy, and anything else that upper management feels is important. If the accountability system finds an issue with an employee's performance it will send an automatic message to the Accountability Auditor assigned to that division; it is the auditor's job to review the issue and verify whether or not a guideline has been met. A supervisor can also refer an employee if they suspect a policy violation. If the employee is not meeting standards the auditor briefly meets with the employee and the employee's direct supervisor. Typically the auditor writes up the employee and refers the matter to the Accountability Enforcement Division. If the auditor believes the direct supervisor contributed to the issue, the supervisor will also be referred to the Accountability Enforcement Division."

"The Accountability Enforcement Division is normally pretty quick at determining the appropriate discipline," continued Adrian. "The auditor is responsible for ensuring the consequences are carried out. Consequences can be anything from a verbal reprimand up to termination; we commonly see short-term reductions in pay, restriction of break time, public shaming in front of their co-workers, or minor corporal punishment. The statute that was passed a few years ago allowing public shaming and corporal punishment in schools, the judicial system, and corporate settings really changed how MHDI enforces productivity guidelines."

Dolores nodded her head in agreement, "Oh yes, I was a sophomore when my college began to use public punishment, it only took a few months before the university saw a remarkable improvement in academic performance!"

"The first few days you will shadow me to see the process in action. After a few days we will begin to have you take a more active role as referrals come in. There are several thousand employees working between the 8 buildings on this campus so we are typically pretty busy." said Adrian. "Look here's one now," she said as her computer chimed.

Dolores read the notification on the screen: Megan Phillips, Data Entry Technician-Class 4, Tardy Violation.

Adrian clicked a link to Megan's personnel record and pointed out the pertinent information to Delores. "Megan has worked here for 6 years, she has had no Accountability Referrals in the past 12 months but it appears she had a 1 or 2 in each year before that. All her prior referrals have all been for tardiness. She was only late by a few minutes each time and there was alway 6 months or more between incidents so the consequences were always pretty minor; a quick 10 swat spanking and loss of her 10 minute mid-morning break on the day of the infraction. Unfortunately for Megan today's infraction is more serious; she was only 2 minutes late, but it is her 10th offense so the punishment will be more than she is accustomed to."

Adrian guided Delores through the halls of the massive complex until they reached the office marked Data Entry-Section 28. They entered a large open room with a little over 50 workers, all seated at their desks. The desks were arranged in groups of ten with a supervisor nearby to oversee the work group. Adrian led them to one of the supervisors who quickly called to one of the women seated in the nearest group of desks. "Megan, the Accountability Auditors are here to speak to you about being late this morning."

A woman in her early 40s rose from her desk and approached her supervisor and the Accountability Auditors. Adrian scanned the woman's company ID with her laptop then got straight to the point. "We are from the Employee Accountability Department. Today you clocked in 2 minutes after your scheduled start time of 8am. Do you have anything you would like to have considered before your punishment is handed out?"

"I'm sorry, things were a bit hectic at home this morning. I have 3 teenage daughters at home, I guess I lost track of time while I dealt with them. I know losing track of time isn't a valid excuse; I just hope that you'll take into account that it was only 2 minutes. I promise to work hard to make up for the lost time."

Adrian entered some information into her laptop, within a few seconds it chirped with a reply. "The short duration of your tardiness has been taken into account, as well as your acceptance of responsibility," she told Megan. "The Accountability Enforcement Division has determined the appropriate penalties: You will receive 25 swats of corporal punishment at this time, today you will forfeit your morning break, mid-day break, and afternoon break; for the next 4 days you will forfeit both your morning and mid-day breaks. You will be demoted to Data Entry Technician-Class 3 for 30 days. Please spread your legs approximately 24 inches apart, bend forward, and hold your ankles."

As Adrian pulled a small wooden paddle from her laptop bag, Megan began to whimper, "It was only 2 minutes! Why so much? It was never this severe before!"

"Ms Phillips, do you realize how many times you have been disciplined for the same offense? This is your 10th tardy violation! Now get in position, we need to get this over with soon so you can get back to work. I'd hate to be back here tomorrow because you didn't make today's productivity quota."

Megan sighed as she took her position. As the first crack of the paddle landed against the seat of her pants, all the employees in the room looked up from their computers to watch as Megan received her chastisement. Adrian was a competent spanker who timed her swats with quick regularity. In less than a minute Megan was rubbing her bottom with her left hand as her right hand wiped tears from her eyes, the short walk back to her desk must have seemed like a mile as her co-workers smirked at her misfortune.

As Megan was gingerly taking her seat, Adrian addressed the woman's supervisor. "Because all three of her break times were taken away, you will need to follow the Hygiene Accountability Protocol with her. If you have any issues please contact me."

"I'll keep you advised," promised the supervisor.

As they walked back to Adrian's office, she explained to Delores, "I try not to give them too much time to contemplate their punishment before I get right to the paddling, getting it over with right away is best. Having to forfeit all of her break times is probably more punishment than the paddling; getting disciplined makes people nervous, and nervous people seem to have to pee, now she'll spend all day paranoid that she won't be able to control her bladder. The Hygiene Accountability Protocol requires that several times throughout the day her supervisor will have to check to make sure she hasn't wet or soiled her pants. I've been told it is quite humiliating."

"What happens if she can't hold it all day?" inquired Dolores.

"If she fails to control herself, the supervisor will write her up and we will go back and deal with her again," answered Adrian. "We tracked the statistics, about 10% of men and 30% of women who forfeit all three of their breaks will end up having to be disciplined for wetting themselves. There is an additional 4% who will have to deal with the shame of losing bowel control when they forfeit their break time."

"How embarrassing!" exclaimed Delores.

"It's really quite effective for the company," said Adrian. "Megan will certainly remember what happened to her for years to come. All 50 of her coworkers who watched her get paddled today will become very attentive for the next few weeks. Statistics indicate a 2-3% increase in productivity for the next month or so from everyone who watches a paddling. He's been with the company for only 1 month, it looks like this was his first week off of training. It isn't unusual for us to be meeting with newer employees who are struggling to keep up with productivity quotas."

Section 11 of the Accounts Payable office was similar to the Data Entry office, only larger. About 100 employees were seated at desks being overseen by 10 supervisors. Adrian located Jeffrey's supervisor, Emma. "I see he's only a week off training status, who was his trainer?" asked Adrian.

"That was Julia, I'll summon them both," replied Emma.

Soon a young man in his early 20s and a woman in her mid 30s approached Emma's desk. The look of apprehension on Julia's face indicated this was not the first time she'd met with an Accountability Auditor. Jeffrey appeared confused as he approached the auditors. Julia touched him lightly on the arm as she said, "I'm sorry, I thought you were ready. This might be my fault for signing you off too soon."

Adrian scanned the ID badges of Jeffrey, Julia, and Emma; even in her short 2 hours with the company, Delores had already figured out that Julia and Emma were going to face consequences for Jeffrey's failure.

Adrian addressed Jeffrey, "Last week you were assigned a productivity quota of processing 12 invoices per day; on both Monday and Tuesday you only processed 11. Do you have any explanation?"

"I had several questions those first two days. As the week went on, Julia helped me get things figured out," he answered.

"Emma, when did you become aware of the shortage?" asked Adrian.

"I noticed he was short each day, but Julia seemed to have him back on track by Wednesday. I thought he'd get those 2 made up by Friday."

She turned to Julia next, "The questions Jeffrey brought to you, had those topics been covered in training?"

Julia nodded her head, "We talked about them in general, I see now that we should have gone into them deeper. Jeffrey seems to have it now. I'm sorry."

Adrian consulted her laptop. "Jeffrey, we realize that you are new and we are glad you found your answers. A verbal reprimand will be sufficient."

"Julia," she continued, "the inadequate training contributed to Jeffrey's failure. You will receive 6 swats of corporal punishment to be administered immediately and a 5 % reduction in pay for 30 days. Please place your feet 24 inches apart and lean forward. Please hold onto your ankles."

Jeffrey looked on with astonishment as Julia bent forward, her snug pants hugging the curves of her butt. Julia's face scrunched up as Adrian's paddle smacked down, the taut fabric provided no protection from the sharp sting: Whap... Whap... Whap... Whap... Whap... Whap! As she stood up, Julia gave a small nod and an attempt at a smile to signal to Jeffrey that she was fine, and not mad at him.

Adrian turned to the pair's supervisor. After consulting her laptop she told Emma, "For failure to promptly address the issue you will receive 4 swats of corporal punishment to be administered immediately. Please lean forward and grab your ankles."

Emma bent over, but the woman was more plump than Julia and could only get her hands to her knees. The posture was acceptable to Adrian who swiftly held the supervisor accountable: Whap... Whap... Whap... Whap!

When they returned to Adrian's office Delores asked, "Why did the trainer get more punishment than anyone else?"

"The Accountability Enforcement Division sets the penalties, so I can't be certain. If I had to guess, it is likely based on prior incidents. Emma noticed early in the week that the quota wasn't being met, but she didn't address it; I would've expected her to take the most punishment based on the circumstances of the incident." Adrian poked at her keyboard for a moment, "Here it is. Julia has trained 5 other people this year, all of them had quota problems their first week; it appears they are trying to send her a message. Normally no corporal punishment would have been assigned for a minor productivity deficiency, the paddlings were clearly to motivate Julia and to warn Emma to keep an eye on how Julia is training people."

"Circling back to Megan Phillips, what specifically is involved in the Hygiene Accountability Protocol?" inquired Dolores.

"If you want to observe the Hygiene Accountability Protocol in action, we can go watch. I'm sure Megans' supervisor would be happy to have us stop by."

"That'd be great" answered Delores. "I'd like to see what that entails."

Adrian typed a quick message and read the reply. "Megan's supervisor says we can observe. You have some training meetings coming up for the next few hours so I told her we'd come later in the afternoon."

The next few hours found Delores meeting with Payroll, Benefits, and HR representatives to ensure all her paperwork was properly filed. Delores was excited when she was back with Adrian at 2pm as they re-entered Data Entry-Section 28.

They paused at the door for a moment, Delores could see that Megan's face seemed tense and she was fidgeting as she sat at her desk. Megan's supervisor approached them, "I last checked her around noon. Her squirming has been progressively worse as the afternoon has gone on. Her productivity has decreased a little but it is still in the acceptable range. She'll probably be dry during this inspection, but it will be questionable if she'll pass at the end of the day."

Megan knew what to expect and stood up when her supervisor approached her. "Have you urinated in your clothes?" Megan shook her head. "Have you defecated In your clothes?" She again shook her head. "Please place your hands on your head and spread your legs apart so I can verify." As soon as Megan complied, her supervisor stuck her hand between Megan's legs and gave a pat over her pants. "Now stay like that while I check your underwear." Megan closed her eyes as her supervisor unbuttoned and unzipped Megan's pants and pulled them to her knees. Her supervisor felt the crotch of the underwear, next she walked behind Megan and pulled at the back of her panties and looked inside. "No signs of urine or feces in your clothes, you may get back to work." Megan quickly pulled her pants up and sat back at her desk.

Delores stared open jawed at the humiliation inflicted on the tardy woman. When the were back in the hall she asked Adrian, "That happens any time the Hygiene Accountability Protocol is in effect?"

"Yep, 4 or 5 times a day," answered Adrian. "Megan is giving her coworkers quite the show this week. I bet Section 28 of the Data Entry division doesn't have another employee clock in late for several months."

"What about if the supervisor is a different gender, like Jeffrey and Emma this morning?" asked Delores.

"It's still handled the same," replied Adrian.

Adrian's laptop chirped with a notification. "It looks like we have another policy violation here in the Data Entry wing, this time in Section 74." Delores looked at the screen: Veronica Franklin, Data Entry Technician-Class 1, Dress Code violation.

Section 74 was identical to Section 28, Delores suspected all the Data Entry sections were the same. Delores followed Adrian to a supervisor sitting in the middle of the room and introduced her to Delores, "This is Zoe Tompkins, she's the one who wrote up the current referral."

"Nice to meet you, Delores. Welcome to MHDI." Zoe pointed to a young woman sitting a few desks away, "As she was coming back from her mid-afternoon break, I noticed that Veronica's shoes had large open spaces where her toes could be seen. Even though we don't work around machinery there is still a requirement that only closed toe shoes are allowed."

Veronica was summoned and quickly came to Zoe's desk. Seeing Accountability Auditors caused her to stammer, "Is... is... am... am I in trouble?"

Delores and Adrian both looked at the woman's feet, Adrian frowned. "I am afraid you are. Your shoes don't comply with the dress code. Only closed toe shoes are allowed. As stylish as those shoes are, they are not allowed."

"Oh, I'm sorry. I knew something completely open like a sandal wasn't allowed, I didn't realize the small openings in the side would be a problem. I'll make sure not to wear them again."

Adrian typed the pertinent information for the Accountability Enforcement Division. Within seconds Adrian was reading the poor girl's punishment. "I know you've only worked here for 6 months, Miss Franklin, but all employees are expected to be aware of the requirements laid out in the personnel policy. The Accountability Enforcement Division has determined the appropriate consequences for failure to abide by the dress code: You will immediately be given 4 swats with the paddle then you will be changed into a special uniform that we use for all dress code violators, you will wear the special uniform for the remainder of today and all of tomorrow. Now, please spread your feet apart approximately 24 inches, then bend forward and hold on to your ankles."

The young woman began to cry as she grabbed her ankles, "I didn't mean to, I'm sorry." Delores noted that while Veronica was unhappy with her punishment she still complied immediately and made no effort to try and get out of her spanking. Delores suspected that Veronica had seen enough coworkers spanked in the past 6 months to know there was no getting out of it. Whap... Whap... Whap...Whap! In a matter of a few seconds the corporal punishment was over.

"Veronica, I am now going to change you into the special uniform," said Adrian. "I need you to stand up straight and keep your arms loose at your side."

The young dress code violator sobbed harder as Adrian unbuttoned the woman's blouse and removed it. A pained expression took over her face as Adrian removed the woman's bra. As her pants were unzipped and lowered she could no longer keep silent, "Please don't!" Her plea went unheeded as her panties were lowered and she was ordered to step out of her improper shoes and the clothing bunched at her feet.

Veronica was left standing naked in front of her coworkers as Adrian dug to the bottom of her bag and retrieved her new uniform. Adrian held up a set of bright yellow scrubs and poor quality canvas shoes, much like the uniform one would expect to be worn in prison. "You will wear this for the remainder of today; you will need to wear this, and only this, when you come to work tomorrow. At the end of the work day tomorrow we will change you back into your own clothing."

Adrian guided Veronica's legs into the scrub pants, placed the thin shoes on her feet, then pulled the scrub top over Veronica's torso. The scrub top was a little tight over the young woman's large chest. Without her bra, Veronica was forced to return to her desk with her nipples attempting to poke through the thin material.
