There was a knock on the door. Katie glanced out through the security eye piece to see Erica. Katie opened the door and Erica came in. The two girls hugged for a long time as Katie closed the door with her foot.

"How did it come to this?" she continued.

"I just had to do something and Mum can be so stubborn and there is no arguing with her. It's just that I did not want to get involved in a direct fight, I needed something to make her think."

After a short while they parted.

"This place is microscopic." Erica said as she looked around. "Alain how do you not fall over yourself in here?" she continued

"I can't, there isn't room to fall." Alain replied and all three burst into laughter.

"I'll make some fresh coffee and let you ladies talk. You can use the bed if you want, there's more room in there."

Katie sat cross legged in the middle of the bed facing the wardrobe, while Erica also sat cross legged beside the toilet door on her right. Katie explained her plan to go shopping shortly and later to follow up on her accommodation search. A message pinged on Erica's phone. She went and picked it up and started to read, it was from Marc Katie's father. Erica read it out.

"Katie you need to do what is right for you." Erica added

"I love my parents and I know I have a special bond with Dad he even taught me the facts of life and not many daughters can say that. This is bigger than a ripped up skirt. I had better contact that couple about the room they have to rent."
