Annie and Jake were sitting on the porch of their cozy cabin in the mountains, sipping on a single malt as they watched the sun slowly dip below the horizon. They were excitedly awaiting the arrival of Annie's ex-boyfriend Charlie, who was coming to visit for the weekend.
Despite Jake's reservations about the situation, he was focused on Annie's enjoying this trip, and he determined to make the best of it and ensure that Charlie felt welcome.
When they heard the sounds of gravel crunching under tires as a car pulled up, Jake got up and walked towards the driveway. Annie stayed seated, taking one more sip of her whisky, her face starting to flush.
As Jake walked toward the car his heart raced as he tried to anticipate how the visit would go. Would there be awkward tension? Duh. Would Charlie still have feelings for Annie? Likely. Would Annie want to act on impulse? Maybe. He could see Charlie arranging things inside the car to get ready to get out. So many questions and guesses at answers swirled in his head as he waited for the car door to open.
Finally, the door cracked open, and then swung out all the way and out stepped Charlie, with a warm smile on his face. Jake cautiously walked up to him, extending his hand for a handshake, which Charlie accepted with ease, turning it into a hug. "Hey man, good to see you again" Charlie said, patting Jake on the back.
As they walked towards the porch, Annie jumped up from her seat, beaming, and ran toward Charlie with a wide open embrace. "Charlie, you made it!" she exclaimed, giving him a long and tight hug.
Jake couldn't help but feel a twinge of jealousy as he watched the embrace. It was clear that Annie still had feelings for Charlie, and he wasn't sure if he was ready to handle the situation. Nonetheless, he was determined to make this weekend work.
"Come on inside, Charlie. I'll pour you a drink," Jake said, leading them inside the cabin.
As they settled in for the night, Jake tried to be as accommodating as possible. He cooked a delicious dinner, they played board games and even shared stories from their past. But all the while, Jake couldn't shake off the feeling of unease. He wasn't sure how he would manage to handle the tensions that would inevitably arise over the course of the weekend.
Jake could tell Annie was excited to be in the seclusion of the cabin for the weekend. Her nipples had been poking against the light fabric of her shirt since she broke free of the welcome hug for Charlie hours ago. And the more she'd had to drink, the more affectionate she'd become with them both as the night wore on."
