Niklas slammed his hand down on his alarm clock, silencing the piercing noise that invaded his sleep. Rubbing his eyes, he lifted himself up on his elbows and yawned. "Another fine day," he grumbled, tearing the covers off and flinging his legs over the side of the bed. Stretching his arms he stood up and sleepily walked into the bathroom. After relieving himself, he twisted the shower knobs and set them to scolding hot. Stripping his boxers off, he tested the water, then climbed into the shower.
The scolding water felt soothing over his tight muscles. Grabbing the soap he lathered up his body, washing every rippling inch, the soap ran down and over his well formed pecks and through the crevasses of his defined stomach muscles. He turned, facing the shower head, the hot water rinsing off the suds. The suds ran down his body, and over his thick shaft, some gathering around the base. Running his hand over his body the last of the suds drained into the tub, and he turned to get the shampoo to scrub his hair. Rinsing off all the suds, he stood there, letting the hot water massage his tense muscles, wakening his body. After a few minutes Niklas turned the water off, grabbed the towel and stepped out of the shower. Dripping onto the bath mat he toweled his hair, and then wrapped it around his waist.
He walked over to the condensation filled mirror, and took his hand, wiping some of it off. "Let's see what kind of trouble we can get into today," he said chuckling to himself, then brushed his teeth and dressed into his typical detective outfit. He wore black slacks, a charcoal colored fly, form fitting shirt, and a pair of his black Armani Patent Leather Loafers. Walking out of his room, he passed the closet, grabbed his favorite Nappalan leather zip front flight jacket and pulled it on, closing the front door with a loud thud. Niklas walked to his black Dodge Charger, unlocked the door, and slide into to the driver seat. Inserting the key, the engine turned over. Niklas pulled the shifter and put the car into reverse. Punching the gas he roared it into drive and speed off to the police station.

Niklas pushed open the front glass door to the police station, his steps thudding through the foyer. The officer manning the front desk waved at Niklas. He waved at her while he headed to the homicide department. Just before he reached his department he was intercepted by his Sergeant.
"Hey Niklas," he said stopping a few feet from him and giving him a pat on the shoulder.
"Hey Sarg," Niklas said, noticing the woman standing next to him.
The Sergeant motioned to the woman detective standing next to him, "this is Detective Minkah, she's transferred her from Egypt and will be working a long side you till she gets comfortable with the new surroundings."
Niklas looked her over and crossed his arms. Hasina stuck out her hand in attempts to shake Niklas's, then smiled as he grasped it and gave it a good squeeze, then let go.
"I hope that I'm not imposing on your day to day routines. I am just here to learn as much as I can so that I can take hold of my own reigns." She watched as he stared at her, not saying a word, then he nodded and motioned for her to follow him. Hasina gave the Sergeant a good shake, thanked him and followed Niklas through the homicide doors.
Niklas led Hasina into the depths of the Homicide Division. He pointed out several other detectives that worked there, she waved at them and then he showed her to a desk that was in front of his.
"This will be your desk for now," he said.
It was positioned so that whoever sat at it would face him. He frowned at the thought of someone staring at him, but accepted the fact that he'd have to deal with it. At least she was attractive, he thought to himself as he sat at his desk.
Of course my desk is facing his, Hasina thought to herself, well at least he is easy on the eyes, but I'm seriously going to have to put him in his place, she continued to think.
Niklas watched as Hasina shoved her hand bag into one of the empty drawers, and then sat down, pushing items around on the desk. Niklas sat there, arms crossed.
