For Kelsie McCollum, the next several days played out in a blur. Class registration, getting the hang of how to get around campus, and meeting some of the girls on her floor--many of whom were aware of the moment that Kelsie had shared with the school's new Star Quarterback.
As for Chris Weathers...nothing. Kelsie blamed herself. She was too shy to go down to his floor or call him, and he hadn't come up. Alexia, who was already laying claim to boys left-and-right, promised to play matchmaker...but right now, Flag Football practices were taking up a lot of her time.
But alone, in their room, Kelsie had already succumbed to her own desires several times.
She would begin by envisioning Chris Weathers, down in his room two floors below...naked.
Kelsie would lock her door, climb under her covers, and imagine him lying next to her. Slowly, she would dare to guide her hand beneath the waistband of her sweatpants, beneath her underwear--just as she imagined she could guide his hand. She shivered as she fantasized about his mouth running over her neck, along her ears, across her chest. She imagined her nipples hardening as he gently took them between his lips.
Kelsie dreamed of what it would be like to please him with her mouth, something she had never done to a boy before. How his perfect face would strain with pleasure as she ran her tongue along his enormous shaft, staring into his eyes with a courage she knew she didn't possess in real-life. She imagined controlling him with her own gaze, kissing him as she pumped him with her hand again and again, feeling his chest heave violently until he lost control.
Finally, Kelsie allowed herself to imagine straddling him--not his body, but his mouth, gyrating desperately atop him as he punished her with his tongue for daring to want him so badly...until, both in her dreams and in real life beneath her covers, she was overcome with ecstasy. Kelsie would writhe in silent pleasure as she massaged her climaxing clit...the clit that, along with the rest of her body, she wanted to belong to him.
Above and beyond everything that was happening on campus--both inside and outside of Kelsie's room--one event loomed.
Rush Week.
Perion was a heavily Greek university, and soon, seemingly every freshman girl was making her way through the gorgeous buildings on Sorority Row. The girls were all looking for a social "home" and the right set of friends...but all of the girls were extremely aware of the prominent pecking order amongst the houses. Right at the top, of course, was the Pi Shop. And beneath all of the window-dressing regarding "sociability" and "style", the obvious fact was that getting into Pi Pi Pi went hand-in-hand with being stunningly attractive.
As Kelsie, arm-in-arm with Alexia, made her way from house to house, any confidence she might have gained from her public exchange with Chris Weathers quickly evaporated. She had never been more conscious of her small-town roots, and the internet tutorials she had studied could only take her so far. She felt shy, closed-off. She was the girl who stood around while her chatty friend engaged everyone else--even as, Kelsie realized, she didn't see many girls of Alexia's "shape" or "complexion" at the elite houses. If Alexia herself noticed this, she didn't say so.
But then again, Alexia had her team to fall back on socially. Kelsie had no one but Alexia. Getting into a top house was Kelsie's dream. Without that, she had difficulty envisioning how she could ever function socially at Perion. Unfortunately, with each house they visited, Kelsie became more and more convinced that she wouldn't find a fit.
Until, improbably, the two girls proceeded between the golden doors of the most desirable house of all.
Kelsie had tried to prevent Alexia from even entering the Pi Shop. But Alexia had insisted. Soon the two girls were amidst what, to Kelsie, was a forest of beauty. How could this many girls have such incredible bodies, perfect faces, and dead-eye fashion sense? How could they all be so tall?
Alexia, as usual, was undeterred. But Kelsie had zero doubt that this was a waste of her time. Soon, even Alexia seemed to gather--from the forced responses to her enthusiasm to the total lack of communication between a single Pi Pi Pi sister and Kelsie--that this might not be the place for them. The two girls were just about to pivot for the door when a voice stopped them.
"Wait! You two! Where are you going?"
The two girls turned. To their shock, the prettiest, most popular member of the prettiest, most popular sorority was making her way straight toward them.
"Hi, I'm Cooper." Cooper Deering's shimmering black cocktail dress looked expensive, custom-tailored...although anything would look good on this girl, Kelsie knew. She suddenly felt very conscious of her own modest light-blue slip dress--the only "formal" dress she owned. (Alexia was wearing a tight, short, black dress with an exotic pink floral print that Kelsie thought looked fantastically sexy, though she doubted the girls in this house agreed).
"Hi! I'm Alexia! This is Kelsie!"
Deering didn't so much as glance toward Alexia. Instead, she locked eyes on Kelsie--it was almost the exact same stare she had fixed upon Kelsie from the sideline after the football game. After a second, though, Deering's luscious red lips broke into an even smile.
"Why would YOU be leaving, Kelsie? You're the hot thing on campus! We all saw your little exchange with Chris Weathers!"
Kelsie stared down at the floor, red-faced yet again. Deering continued anyway. She leaned toward the two girls in an almost conspiratorial tone.
"Honestly? I've been waiting for you to show up. The rest of the freshman girls this year are, frankly, a little...lacking."
Deering glanced side-to-side theatrically. "Look...I'm not supposed to say this, but...we've pretty much already decided who all of our new pledges are going to be. The REAL party is later tonight. Much later. Everyone who is actually getting in has already been invited back. You two need to return here, tonight, at 2AM. Sharp."
Deering pulled back expectantly. Her expression indicated that "No" couldn't possibly be a reasonable response to this command. She was right.
Could this really be happening? Kelsie was overjoyed. She could tell that Alexia was ecstatic as well--although clearly more for Kelsie than for herself.
In a daze, the two friends returned to Howard Hall. They had hours to kill, and they didn't really know how to spend the time. It didn't seem to make much sense to continue to visit any of the other houses--what even were the other houses to them at this point? This was Pi Pi Pi. This very night could chart the next four years of their lives in the best possible way!
In their dorm room, an eternity seemed to pass. Neither girl dared to change out of the dress she had on: They hadn't specifically been instructed to do so...and what if they changed into something else...and it was the wrong choice? Better to not risk it. Every few minutes, the roommates would boil over with excitement at the opportunity ahead of them...only to quickly rein themselves back in. Nothing was settled yet. Even Kelsie's talkative bestie knew not to jinx this.
At long last, the moment arrived, and the girls set out again. The campus was still alive, with students traveling to and from various parties, but overall it was much quieter. Sorority row, in particular, was not nearly the wall-to-wall mob it had been earlier that night. This seemed especially true, oddly enough, in front of Pi Pi Pi. No one else was waiting to get in the front door. In fact, other than Kelsie and Alexia, no one else seemed to even be headed toward the house.
"Oh my God," Kelsie trembled. "Are we LATE?"
Alexia shook her head, but this time, she didn't say anything. Still, Kelsie was glad that Alexia was here: There was no earthly way that she would have walked up to this house, by herself, at two in the morning, and knocked on the door. The caramel goddess next to her didn't hesitate for a second.
Kelsie didn't know what she had expected...but the door swung open the second that Alexia knocked. Behind it was a Pi Shop sister who Kelsie knew she had met earlier, though she couldn't remember her name. This girl was blond, probably 5'8", with perfectly-placed curls that dropped nearly to her waist. Beauty-Queen hair. In fact, this girl looked like a beauty queen, right down to the form-hugging, floor-length golden dress that clung to her luscious body. All that was missing was the sash.
"Hi, I'm Tracey," the girl announced. Her tone was polite, she presented herself with a smile...and yet, nothing about this greeting felt exactly warm to Kelsie. Beyond Tracey, the rest of the house appeared...empty?
