Opening day of the State Fair, and even though the numbers in attendance were slightly lower than normal, ticket sales were still booming. The mid-summer temperatures only helped increase sales as many were grateful to be outside once again. Dwayne, being among the first to have bought their tickets in advance, was currently standing in front of three metal detectors blocking the entrance into the fairgrounds. Reaching into the back pocket of his pants, he pulled two tickets from his wallet as he began to scan his attention over the parking lot. Although the ticket had been meant for his girlfriend, an earlier argument in which he had been at fault for, had him changing a few plans.
Reaching into the front pocket of his pants, Dwayne pulled out his cell phone and began checking his newest text messages. Noticing the small red light that was blinking on the upper corner of his phone, he quickly slid his thumb over the screen.
"Hey, we need to talk. Call me!"
read the missed message from Layla. Giving a slight snicker, he closed the message, and slid his phone back inside his front pocket. Quickly looking up, towards the entrance of the fair, Dwayne was momentarily mesmerized, as two young ladies walked past. Between the gentle breeze and the way they switched and swayed their hips as they walked, his attention had remained locked on their waists as they walked past him. The loose flowing mini skirts they wore did little to hide the firmness of their asses.
Not wanting to pass up a possibility like this, Dwayne was quickly pushing himself forward, catching up to the two of them.
"Excuse me! I don't mean to be rude or intrude, but I couldn't help but notice two very attractive women walking into the fair, together but still alone. So pardon me if this comes off too straight-forward, but, do either of you beauties have a boyfriend?" Dwayne asked bluntly as he approached a little closer to the two females.
One by one, they handed their tickets over, before stepping through the metal detector without a sound.
"Boyfriend? Don't you think he'd be around if I did?" the brunette quickly replied, "What about you?"
"Me? No, I'm single. Just coming out to occupy myself." Dwayne replied with a lie, as they continued into the fairgrounds.
"So... since you're still following us," the dirty-blonde haired female began saying, as she turned around so that she was walking backwards, "do you have a name?"
"How forgetful of me. My apologies. My name's Dwayne." he replied as the three of them faded into the massive crowds.
"I'm Kendra," the dirty-blonde female replied, "and this is my friend Melody." she finished saying, pointing to the brunette.
Although there had been a form of introduction, the three of them stepped through the front entrance, and the three were making their way toward the information booth. Whether their intention had been to get Dwayne away from them or not, he wasn't certain, but as he watched the two head toward the small building and a nearby officer, he slowed his pace. Watching the two of them until they got out of sight, he released a gentle sigh. Finally redirecting his attention, he began making his way further into the fairgrounds, weaving throughout the crowds.
Hours passed as Dwayne continued his stroll through the fair. Money was wasted on a few games and rides, as his intentions were always trying to score a side-chick for the evening. Nothing ever came to bait, however, as he began passing a nearby security booth.
"... yeah man, he just... bit me." Dwayne happened to hear as he made his way past the giant yellow booth. Turning his attention as he walked past, noticing one of the on guard officers currently holding a cloth over his wrist.
As expected, the fair was loud. There were screaming and yelling all around. Marching bands were playing, people were enjoying different rides, so the sounds of screams were expected. Dwayne was too busy wandering through the crowds, goggling over the females walking around in either short mini skirts, or shorts a size too small, cut to only hold on to about half of each ass cheek. Making his way, slowly, toward one of the center concession stands, the distant sound of metal screeching, had somehow managed to catch his attention.
Suddenly, there came a great deal of screaming from off in the distance, which had rather quickly caused him to turn his attention. Already in the process of searching out the metal on metal sound, he turned his attention toward a nearby sky-ride. Dwayne couldn't help but remain frozen in place where he stood as he suddenly watched more than a dozen people ejected from their seats. Along with this, the ride in which they had been seated in, was waving recklessly up and down, until a nearby worker had come to shut it off.
Unfortunately, the worst had just begun. Soon, several bystanders were quickly rushing around, trying to offer any sort of assistance that they could. Dwayne was curious to what exactly had happened, or at the very least, wanted to see the carnage. Of course, as he made his way closer to the ride, he noticed several others rushing off to assist those who had taken an unscheduled flight. Still trying to force his way closer for a better view, he could hear the painful groans coming from those involved around the ride.
"My... my boy. Why?... How could some...?" Dwayne heard as he kept walking past, turning his attention toward a middle aged female, who was still cradling her son's upper torso, with tears staining her cheeks. He hadn't seen it at first, but now that he was closer, he could tell the young teen was not only breathless, but something within the machine had managed to sever the young teen at the hip.
Dwayne might have been unsure as to what had happened, other than a serious malfunction; but as fair-ground security officers began rushing to the scene, he found himself being quickly shoved out of the way. Again, he was fine with that, as he wasn't wanting to offer any assistance to begin with, he began making his way through the fair once again. Quickly maneuvering through the crowds, trying his best to move away from the current scene, as the situation had only begun to get worse. With so many trying to assist with those wounded from the event, screams of agony began surrounding the area.
