After his adventure with Jenna Slater and Lena Piper, (and for the next ten days into the end of November,) not much happened in Charlie's sex life. The problem was not in finding someone to do it with, the problem was where to do it! Normally, Charlie's house was available on Saturdays, but his dad scheduled an electrician friend of his to come do a "side job" and rewire the garage. As bad luck would have it, that was going to take the next two Saturdays. Everyone else's parents were also "always around." Going to a hotel was out of the financial question; which only left one other place, someone's car! Nope, also out of the question as temperatures were consistently cold, as in the 20's and low 30's.
This situation created something different for Charlie. Since his first encounter with Carrie McMaster almost two months ago, he had not gone without sex for a whole week, much less two. Five days after the threesome, horny was becoming a real distraction. He masturbated once but that was his "old way of doing things," and he certainly wasn't going back to that on a regular basis.
Upon awakening on Saturday morning he was lying in bed looking up at the ceiling when the thought of finding his own place crossed his mind again. Yes, he could discuss this with his parents; but he knew what his dad would say, "Son, if you're going to strike out on your own, you'll be ON your own!" which meant getting a job. A conversation about this would go much easier if he already had one! He got up, went to the bathroom, and then sat down at his computer. One simple entry, "Tech Jobs With No Experience" immediately brought up a site called "Zip Recruiters." After reading through the details he decided this was the way to go right now.
He spent the next two hours designing his first resume using a free online template. There wasn't anything on it in terms of experience; but the one thing that looked really good was that he was at the top of his senior class in science and technology classes. The second good-looking thing was that because of his position, he would only be taking limited high school classes second semester. His parents were expecting him to enroll in junior college to fill in the gaps, but if a good entry level job presented itself, they'd be amenable to it. Three hours later he crossed his fingers and hit the "Submit" button on the website.
Before his first period class on Monday he turned a corner in the hall and ran into Carrie and Jenna. "Hey you two!" he said. "How's it been not going to practice for a whole week?"
"Weird," Carrie replied. "But we were just discussing the basketball situation. Did you hear about the accident on Friday?"
"No, what happened?"
"Cindy Margolis broke her arm pretty bad; she had surgery on Saturday."
Charlie looked at Jenna, "Dang, how did she do that?"
Jenna said, "She's a flyer and they dropped her!"
"Holy Shit!"
"Yeah, so Tricia VanCourt is gonna fly, but they need someone to fill in Tricia's old spot."
"Won't they just bring up a J.V. girl?"
Carrie shrugged, "Maybe, the basketball cheer coach Sullivan was discussing this with our coach Lancaster. She wanted to know if any of the football girls would be interested in taking a spot."
"THAT'S interesting! Are you two thinking about volunteering?"
"This is what we were discussing when you walked up. We're thinking about it...sorta."
"Why the hesitation?"
"Mostly the time commitment," said Jenna. "If we were juniors, we'd probably do it. Right now we have a lot of other interests to consider."
From the way the two girls were looking at him, it was clear what at least ONE of those interests was. "Yeah, those 'other' interests can for sure get in the way sometimes, right?"
Both girls giggled, "Yeah, they can," said Carrie. "I'm thinking one of those interesting thoughts right now! We didn't get to talk about your 'interesting' day last Sunday!"
Charlie grinned and said to Jenna, "How much did you tell her?"
"Only all of it!" All three of them laughed. Jenna added, "Wanna hear something else interesting, Charlie?"
"Sure."
"Lena's coming over to my house this coming Saturday night for a sleepover!"
He shot a glance at their blond friend, "No kidding! Look what you've done, Carrie!"
"Me? What did I do?"
"You corrupted your best friend!" They all laughed again!
Jenna said, "It's been pretty quiet for the last week; anything interesting going on?"
"I would have a plan, but somehow my parents keep getting in the way! What about you, Carrie?"
She hesitated for a second, "Well, I went out with Rickie Sanchez again last Friday."
"Oh my God, good for you! Where's that going?"
"I guess we'll find out. Here's one thing though, we made out for the first time; THAT was fun!" Just then the bell rang and the conversation had to end. It was only Carrie's second date with Rickie; Charlie didn't want to get too nosy.
At lunch that day he sat down at their usual table; Krista and Donna got there next which wasn't usual. Donna said, "Where are Julie and Mark?"
"Maybe they're in one of the theater changing rooms!" Krista teased.
Charlie chuckled, "Sounds like fun, but since the rehearsals have started, those rooms aren't available."
Krista's eyes bored into his, "Speaking of 'availability,' how 'available' are you?"
He grinned back at her, then turned to Donna, "I'm always open for suggestions!" Donna smiled shyly and was about to say something when Mark and Julie showed up. "Well, THERE you are! What were you guys doing?"
"We had to quick throw some stuff into my car," said Jules.
"How was your weekend?" Donna asked.
Julie said, "Last night we went out for a celebration dinner with my parents; it was their 24th anniversary."
"And Mark went also?"
"Yeah," Julie giggled, "somehow or other they think he's pretty okay!"
"I'm radically charming," Mark added; the whole table smirked.
All of a sudden Julie had an idea, "Hey, how about this Sunday the three of you come over to my house. We could just hang out and order pizza and watch movies or something?"
"Now that sounds good!" Charlie replied, "What about it, girls?"
"Yeah let's," said Krista. "What time are you thinking?"
"Why not come around 4:00? We can order the food and get everything set up. What kind of movies do we wanna watch?"
"Do you have Netflix?"
"Yep."
"Okay then we have a plan!"
As he walked out to the parking lot after school, Charlie saw Renee Bridges six cars over searching through her purse (ostensibly for her keys.) For a second he thought about ignoring her because she hadn't noticed him yet. "But that wouldn't be polite," he thought. Out loud he said, "I wonder if we can talk without one of us bringing up THE subject?" He reasoned that testing and teasing her regarding that thought might be entertaining, so he went right up to her, "Hello Renee! Can't find your keys?"
"Oh Charlie! Hi...yes, I know they're in here somewhere!"
"My mother has the same issue; she usually finds them on the third search!"
Renee grinned, "THIS IS my third search!",
"Then you should be finding them any second!"
"THERE they are!" and the M.I.L.F. held them up and jingled them. "How did YOU know that?"
"It's a 'Sixth Sense,' some kids talk to dead people; I have a thing with women in distress!"
"You do, do you?"
He decided to fib a little, "Yes, like last week during Mark's birthday party, out of the whole group I had to pick out the one guy and one girl who had never been kissed. Nailed that one!"
