All what you read here is fact and actually happened. The names are not real, to protect us and our friends.
Sharon was due to fly in to spend time with Teri, whose relationship has just ended and was struggling with the break up. Sharon and Teri have been friends from a young age, so they knew each other pretty much inside out. Teri has other friends who live close by and also are supporting her with her the breakup.
Teri lives quite close to me and I knew Teri before I had met Sharon on a friend's bar crawl. So the plan was for Teri and I to share Sharon's time whilst here. Teri works in a local restaurant on odd days of the week, so that enabled Sharon and I to spend time together during the day.
Wednesday
I was out with friends from early afternoon when Sharon flew in late in the early evening. I got a text from Sharon to say she had arrived and would get a cab to Teri's apartment and suggested we could meet up later in the evening. I continued drinking with my friends, when I got another text from Sharon asking me to join her and Teri at a local bar. How could I resist!
I said my goodbyes to my friends and made my way to the bar Teri had suggested. I arrived first and got myself a beer. Some ten minutes later they both arrived. Sharon had a beaming smile on her face when we saw each other and no doubt so did I. We hugged and had a short but firm kiss and I then said hi to Teri.
I got both women a drink and we chatted about Sharon's flight and how she was feeling. She looked good and fresh, considering the long day she had travelling. We sat next to each other at the table with Sharon's left hand stroking my thigh. Whilst we were keen to see each other and be together, we had to included Teri in our conversations. After all, Sharon was here to spend time with Teri and support her emotionally.
After another beer each we moved on to another local bar frequented by friends of Teri's and mine. We said our hello's to friends and then the three of us stood talking around a high table. I excused myself to go to the bathroom, when Sharon softly said, "Can I join you", "of course" I said to her, not thinking she would.
