Here I have the first part of two stories I want to work on. Now that Christmas break is near and I'll have a ton of free time, I want to get back into writing. Please vote on which story you would rather read in the comment section. Don't be shy to include what you think should happen as well. I would love to incorporate some of your ideas! If you like both, say so and maybe I'll do the other at some point next year. Don't forget to rate! :)
Not That Complicated
Shit! Eric thought as he jumped out of bed. It was seven twenty one which meant he overslept and wouldn't be able to get his early morning workout. He jumped in the shower thinking at least he wouldn't be late for work. As a freelance financial consultant, he has more freedom with his work hours, only needing to be on time for meetings, presentations and deadlines. He had a meeting in exactly forty minutes so he didn't have time to make his morning smoothie either. He would have to settle on one from Fanatic, his favorite smoothie shop, after his meeting instead.
He stared at his reflection in the foggy mirror and admired his golden brown eyes. Many women have complimented him on how pretty they thought they were over the years and he had grown to like them too. They were a contrast to his deep mahogany skin tone but it was a good contrast that made him look exotic. He realized that he was already close to being late so he hurried and brushed his teeth and threw on the suit he laid out the night before making it out his condo on schedule. He would simply have to go to the gym at the end of the work day.

Alana was having a bad day. The dance school she taught at closed for the day due to flooding a broken pipe line caused. She loved teaching other children to dance as much as she loved taking care of her fourteen month old daughter, Anna. The sitter still had her until five so she took the opportunity to go to the gym that she'd been wanting to buy a membership at. It was packed considering it was only a little after three but she managed to find a few free non-intimidating machines to start on.
By the time she was done, she was sweaty and tired but she still had to pick up Anna so her babysitter could get to another job. She made her way over to the small coffee shop located inside the mega gym and ordered a medium espresso with soy. She looked at her iPhone and found that she didn't have as much time as she originally thought. It was a good fifteen minute drive to get to her apartment but she still had to stop by an ATM to get money for the sitter. With little less than twenty-five minutes to spare, Alana rushed to the lockers and retrieved her bag.
She stormed out of the locker room and ran right into a brick wall. A finely built brick wall that was impeccably dressed in what looked like an Armani suit and with her coffee spilt on it. She immediately started to panic both at the burning she felt from the coffee she spilt on herself and at the thought of having to pay the guy for the suit. She would never be able to afford to replace it even on her decent salary.
"Oh my God! I'm so sorry! I was in a rush; I didn't expect anyone to be in front of the door! I'm soooo sorry!" she exclaimed as she attempted to wipe the cooling brown liquid from his chest.
The man, obviously frustrated and highly upset, didn't want to hear it. "God dammit! I have a meeting in fifteen minutes and you just ruined my suit!" he shouted. She finally looked up at what was the most handsome man she had ever come in contact with. It was just her luck to piss off someone so good looking.
"Maybe I can clean it off? I don't know. Oh, God, I'm sorry. Did I ruin it?" she asked as her heartbeat picked up speed. She whispered a silent prayer that the suit looked more expensive than it was.
