The knight lifted his hand to gently knock on the door. He gave three quick knocks in quick succession. His gauntlet clacked against the wood. He withdrew his hand before speaking. He made sure his tone was even and calm. It was early morning after all, and he didn't want to startle the young queen if there was no problem, as he thought there was.
"Your Majesty? Are you alright? I heard a noise that startled me."
She drew a breath in trying to steady her voice before speaking. She didn't want to let out any squeaks to give herself away. She took a quick inhale through her nose before shifting to let a long breath out, trying to cover up any previous noises.
"Yes, I'm quite alright... just.. ummm stretching."
She called out in an almost whimpering tone. She balled her fists into the sheets of the bed. She tried to sit up and make herself sound less suspicious, but it didn't work well.
"That didn't sound like a stretching noise. Are you sure you are quite alright?"
The knight asserted trying to not make his tone accusatory. He spoke as factually as he could. He even took a step closer to the door to listen in to see if he could make out any other noise. His concern was for her safety.
"I am positive..."
She huffed, hoping he would leave soon. She flopped back onto the bed with a little bounce. She hoped that would appease his curiosity. There was a moment of silence between the two replies. She had hoped that meant he had left. She shifted her legs to resume.
"I don't believe you, Your Majesty. I'm coming in..."
He said with mild concern for how she was acting. He shoved up the door after unlocking it, and he saw her legs splayed, and she wasn't wearing much. He covered his eyes with his hand. He gripped his helmet in his hand tighter, hoping if he recoiled hard enough, this scene wouldn't actually be happening.
"You could your told me you were preoccupied..."
He whispered to her in a confused panic. He continued to squeeze his eyes shut tighter. He didn't remove his hand, but he did turn to knock the door closed with his foot.
"It's unbecoming of a lady to be preoccupied!"
Her cheeks were flushed and her breath heavy as she closed her legs to try to curl up into that bed. She squeaked out her reply to his rude interruption. She tried to hide away from the sins she was committing not long ago.
"Do... do you need some help?"
He croaked up out of the silence. He shifted to remove his hand from his face. He sat his helmet down on the nearby table as he slowly turned to open his eyes one at a time.
"I don't mean to be profane, but... I can help if you need. I know these types of things take a while to complete, but if I can aid in that process so you may have more time in your day, I would be happy to."
She was a lump in a pile of blankets. He padded closer, taking a moment to pull off his gauntlets to have them join his helmet before he headed over to her.
He found a smooth-looking rod-shaped porcelain item on the bed near where he believed her feet were. He picked it up delicately and studied it. It has little pastel pink floral blooms painted on it. Blue swirls intertwined to meet the flowers, almost like discolored vines. He inspected it noticing the tip of this object was almost glistening with a wetness of some sort.
"Ah, I see now, Your Majesty. Would you like me to help you work more of this curious object into yourself? I believe I understand how this may work."
As a reply, a whimper only reached his ears. He turned to start to unbuckle his chest plate. He could feel a hand gripping his shirt once he pulled off his chest piece. His eyes darted over.
Her Majesty had her upper half pulled out of the blankets. Her cheeks were still flushed, and her nightgown was clearly the only thing she had on. He could see the outline of her breasts at this angle.
"Please don't tell the Counsil..."
He smiled softly at her as he continued to untie his armor off of himself. He just needed just a few more moments to completely get out of it all.
