*BEEP*BEEP*BEEP*
The old school alarm in the hotel starts blaring next to my head and I reach over to swat the snooze button. After missing a few times and smacking the table, my glasses, and the hotel pen and notepad that have probably been there, unused, since 1997, I finally silence the archaic alarm/FM radio. Rolling away from it and grumbling, I hear a giggle from nearby. Cracking one eye, I see you awake and alert, sitting up in bed, holding your phone over your bare legs. You're looking at me with a mixture of pity and amusement. You also look wide awake.
"You've been up for hours, haven't you?" I groan.
Laying your phone against your chest, which is also bare, you reach one hand out to ruffle my messy hair. "Yup, I have!" you chirp happily. "I've been waiting so patiently for your stupid alarm to go off, and it finally has!"
Scrunching down in the bed, I pull the covers up over my head. "Five more minutes," I say from under them.
"Nope!" Your response comes as you flip the covers down and off of me, the abrupt and cold air hitting me unexpectedly. "Time to get up and get moving! We have things to do today! Fun, vacation things!"
I glare back at you. "Fun vacation things huh? Staying in bed is a fun vacation thing." I snuggle in against your thigh, wrapping my arms around it, and close my eyes.
Poking my shoulder sharply you say, "Nope! No going back to sleep! No five more minutes! I've been waiting for your alarm to go off so patiently. You're awake now, and I want to go do things."
