I got a friend I call Booh...his real name is Chuck but I've been calling him Booh since our school days.
He's a great guy, too...kinda quiet...friendly...always been good at fixing things.
When we graduated high school, Booh became an electrician while some of his friends, like me, went off to college for four years...which meant Booh was already established in his profession by the time the rest of us were just graduating and either looking for work or starting our first real job.
I was one of the lucky ones—I picked up a job a few months before I got out of college. I still planned to live at home with my folks for a while—till I built up a little bit of a savings account—but at least I'd have some money coming in.
Living at home would put a crimp in my confidence about dating for a while but, I figured, that would just be a temporary thing.
Booh had his own place by the time I got out of college so at least he had somewhere to take a girl, should he find one...
...and actually, he was about to find one.
She would be a really great girl and the relationship would last a couple of years despite the fact that I know she cheated on him...at least a half a dozen times...with me.
It all began when Booh was working a contract job for a local college and, as he told me, a cute girl walked by and noticed him. She started up a friendly conversation that lasted a few minutes and, before the end of it, she had asked him out.
Even Booh was surprised by his good luck and he readily agreed to the date.
I remember asking Booh, "Is she hot?"
"Yeah," Booh told me, sounding a little unsure about his answer so he added, "in a kind of nerdy way."
I laughed at that but it made me wonder about the girl.
"What's her name?"
"Stacy."
"Well I hope you and Stacy have a nice time together," I told my friend.
And they did.
As I later found out, Booh and Stacy got together for a dinner that next Saturday night, walked around town for a bit, chatted comfortably, and then she took him back to her dorm where they spent the night together.
"She was
fantastic
," Booh told me, maybe bragging a little about how good Stacy was at sucking his cock. He said they fucked four times that night...well, three times overnight and then once again the next morning.
Well, nerdy or not, I figured Stacy had to be pretty hot in bed!
So Booh had a girlfriend now and I was happy for both him and Stacy.
"Hey, you should meet us at the college some time,"
Booh said in a sudden burst of what sounded like almost conspiratorial enthusiasm,
"maybe Stacy can hook you up with one of her friends!"
It was a nice thought and I appreciated Booh trying to get me laid but I wasn't sure I wanted to be introduced to Stacy as Booh's pathetic friend who couldn't get a girl on his own—though, admittedly, I wasn't having any luck since getting back from college.
I didn't think Booh's crazy idea was going to work anyway so I just shrugged and said, "Eh...maybe."
A couple of weekends went by before Booh actually did talk to Stacy about me and, as he told me, she said she would be happy to introduce me to some of her friends.
It was a nice gesture by both of them, and I appreciated it, but it made me feel awkward, too.
Booh said something like "don't be stupid" and instructed me to meet him and Stacy at the college on the Saturday coming up...around seven o'clock.
I still didn't feel comfortable about this but, come Saturday, I drove down to the college and followed Booh's directions to Stacy's dorm.
When I found the hall, I called up to Booh. "I'm here," I said.
"We'll be right down," Booh told me.
I stood outside the dormitory door for a minute or two and then I was let in by Booh and his new girlfriend, Stacy.
"Stace, this is my friend, Lee," Booh said, introducing me to Stacy just as I entered the house.
"Hi Lee," Stacy said with a big, warm smile. She reached out to shake my hand...which, I noticed, she held for a moment or two even after we finished shaking.
I thought back to Booh describing Stacy as nerdy but, other than the fact that she wore narrow, wire-rimmed glasses—which made her look like a studious, straight A-student—I didn't see her as nerdy at all.
She wasn't the hot cheerleader type but Stacy was certainly an attractive and shapely girl—a short-haired brunette with what looked like nice boobs and great hips...on long legs.
"Hello Stacy," I responded with a smile.
The other thing that struck me about Stacy was her personal warmth. We had just met but, instantly, she made me feel like she was a friend of mine. I really liked her, right from the start.
Booh had a great girl here...the lucky bastard!
"Come on in," Stacy said as she led me, with Booh following, into what looked like a large living room area on the ground floor of the hall, where some people were scattered about.
There, Stacy introduced me to a few of her friends.
I met Tina, a particularly petite blonde—just a little over five feet—whose personality seemed to try and make up for her size. "Hiya Lee," she said with a whole lot of confidence and enthusiasm.
There was Megan, a more demure and elegant strawberry blonde who seemed to take some notice of me. I felt attracted to Megan right away—I guess most guys would—and I wondered what my chances might be with her.
Then there was Allie, clearly the fun-loving party girl in the group. Bold and edgy, Allie greeted me with "How they hangin', Lee?" She laughed at her own outrageous greeting.
Allie was skinny and tall and damn near flat-chested but she was cute and had a loopy, easy-going personality that charmed me. I got a sense that my best chance of getting laid, maybe even tonight, was with her.
Well I didn't get laid that first night but we all got along well, had some laughs and enjoyed a good time together...so much so that it was Stacy who said to me at the end of the evening—well, before she and Booh went up to her room, that is—"I hope you come back next weekend, Lee."
Stacy sounded sincere and made me feel welcomed.
Tina and Megan and Allie all chimed in and agreed with Stacy...and so that began a regular schedule of me spending most of my Friday and Saturday evenings on the campus with the girls.
We would take in movies together. We went to see a play one time, put on by the theater students. Booh and I would take the girls out to a restaurant once in a while...and pick up the check, of course.
At the end of an evening, all of us usually went back to the hall and talked about something or another, sometimes into the wee hours of the morning.
I wasn't getting laid but I was having a good time...and, I figured, the potential to get laid was still there, if not with one of these girls, then with someone I might yet meet.
Tina and I didn't seem to have quite the right chemistry to muster a romance between us but we did enjoy each other as friends.
Allie turned out to be kind of a cocktease. She would flirt hard and even give my thigh or my ass a playful pat or squeeze once in a while but, any time we found ourselves alone, it was like she got scared and would freeze up on me.
Allie sent me home with blue balls a few times. After a while, I gave up hoping to get something more intimate going with her and just accepted her as a flirty friend.
Megan ran hot and cold on me.
One weekend, she would keep close to me, make a lot of eye contact with me, even outright flirt with me...and then the next weekend, she would be very chilly and barely even look my way.
I couldn't figure out what was going on with her. Even Booh noticed this odd, flip-floppy behavior.
It was definitely weird.
Still, I held out hope for Megan while keeping an eye out for other girls, too...figured I'd hook up with somebody, sooner or later.
And I did...but it was in the most unexpected way, under extreme circumstances and with the last girl I expected to get lucky with—Booh's girlfriend, Stacy.
I don't think Stacy ever flirted with me but she was always very warm toward me...right from the moment we met.
There was something that synched up between us right away...or, at least, I thought so. It felt like that to me.
Was I special or was this how Stacy was toward everyone she met? I couldn't be sure.
But Stacy was Booh's girl so I didn't let myself get too carried away with these thoughts.
I guess because Booh and I were such good friends, I think what I got from Stacy was a kind of a brother-in-law vibe. It was like we were more than just friends but I never got a sense that she had anything more in mind about me.
And I honestly never once thought about stealing Stacy away from Booh. Fucking her, yeah, sure, I admit it...but those weren't serious thoughts...just more like I-wonder-what-that-would-be-like.
I cared about them both and certainly never wanted to wreck anything between them.
But life is sprinkled with some surprising twists and turns, too.
I didn't know it but Stacy and I were right on the brink of starting a brief, intense, sexually intimate relationship—a secret relationship—that began due to falling snowflakes.
The snow began falling early one Friday morning in mid-November and the weather report said it was going to continue through the night. At least 24 inches of snow were predicted.
It was Megan who called me at work that afternoon and invited me to join her and the girls for sledding down the hillside on the east end of the campus.
It sounded like fun!
"Okay, I'll see you after six," I told her, figuring that would be the time I could get there after I finished work.
In fact, work let out a little early that afternoon, due to the storm, so I grabbed a quick dinner in town and then made my way over to the college, getting there around 5:30.
I found Megan and Tina and Allie and even Stacy on the hillside at the east end of the campus, frolicking in the snow—which had piled up to about eight or ten inches by now. They were taking turns riding these two purple, plastic, roll-up sleds down the hillside...and by the time they got to the bottom, they were
flying
!
I heard them screaming and laughing, all at the same time.
We weren't the only ones on the hillside, of course. There were a lot of other girls (and their boyfriends) there, all goofing around in the snow and either sledding down the hill or tossing a few snowballs at someone.
It was a good time and the snow kept falling—big, heavy, wet flakes steadily piling up on the ground and soaking all of us who were out there on the hillside.
The sun eventually set and, after a while, the darkness and the drop in temperature began to clear people off the hill. The cold was taking over the fun.
By now, our coats and clothes were either frozen or soaked and so the girls decided it was time to get back to the dorm. We were all cold and wet.
When we got to the hall, I was surprised to see the time. There was a on the clock on the wall behind the security desk: it read twenty minutes after nine!
Jesus, we were out there for almost four hours!
I couldn't believe it and, suddenly, I wondered why Booh wasn't here yet...so I asked Stacy.
"He barely got home," she told me as she wiped the melting snowflakes off her glasses with the bottom of her sweatshirt. "The roads were almost impassable," she added.
