10. The Plan

The Titan proved his worth. And once they retired to Diana's apartment later that evening, he proved it again. And again. And

again.

The dalliance stretched on through the night and into the next morning. Diana hadn't slept a wink.

Even now, she still felt the echoes of pleasure. The faint sensation of bliss pulsed through her body, thrumming like soft, sweet notes. The Amazon couldn't remember a time when she was more satisfied, more

sated

.

Surely, the pheromones had a large part to do with that, Diana knew. Both Lance's

and

Jessica's. They were potent fumes, strong enough to put a haze even on Wonder Woman's mind. But through that haze, Diana managed to cling to at least some of her senses.

A night of fun, no matter how lively and pleasing, could fully snuff out her concerns. And indeed, Diana had concerns. It didn't matter how good a lover Lance Thorne was. Diana had a duty to remain a responsible heroine.

She'd been pacing for some time, back and forth across her apartment living room. Thinking and thinking as she watched the morning sun through her glass balcony doors. Their original plan of keeping the Titan cooped up alongside them... may not have been the best decision. The more Diana thought the more she felt that niggling feeling at the back of her mind. That maybe... just maybe... they needed a new plan.

Sooner or later her guests would notice that she was missing from bed.

Any moment now...

"Hey." Diana heard a soft voice behind her, colored with a faint accent. She turned and saw Jessica at her open bedroom door, naked just as she was. Behind her stood Lance Thorne, similarly undressed. Both were very pleasing to behold. Jessica lifted her hands above her head in a stretch, displaying her lovely, athletic body. She groaned softly, taking slow strides. "Got something on your mind?"

Diana breathed in deeply - no doubt taking in another helping of pheromones. Warmth spread across her bare skin, blossoming in the pit of her belly. She slowed her pacing, turning to fully face her awoken guests. She ran a hand through her hair, putting on a faint smile. But still, her concerns coiled within.

"Am I that obvious?" Diana replied.

Her two lovers continued their approach, Jessica at the forefront. She let out a sigh, releasing her stretch. Her fellow heroine looked amused - but Diana also caught the embers of desire still burning in her eyes.

How bright they shined the night before...

The shorter woman slipped behind Diana, sliding her arms around her waist, embracing her with a soft hum. Diana didn't reject her touch. It was warm and more than welcome.

"When you look the way you look, people pay attention." Lance spoke up, his voice delightfully deep and smooth. "That's the gift of beauty... or the curse, depending on how you look at it."

Diana leaned back into Jessica's arms as she gave Lance a long look. She admired him as much as she studied him, drinking in the perfection of his body as her eyes roamed. He grinned back at her, his silver eyes alight with silent laughter - like he knew a joke that he was keeping to himself. It stirred up heat in her belly - and fed into her worries as well.

"What? More thoughtful than you expected?" He asked, perhaps mistaking her expression for one of confusion. His smile grew as did the gleam in his eyes. "I'm more than just a pretty face, you know."

"Mmm.

Much

more." Jessica agreed, brushing her lips over the back of Diana's neck and shoulders.

On that, Diana had to agree. Which was why she had been pacing and thinking to begin with.

"Indeed." Diana exhaled slowly. She set her hand over Jessica's, right over her naked belly. The other woman curled her arms tighter, pressing her warmth into Diana's back. The Amazon let herself sink into it, enjoying the small delights of Jessica's tiny kisses. "You are a gifted man, Lance Thorne.

Considerably

so."

"I'm feeling a 'but' coming next." The rookie hero joked.

Diana considered her words carefully. Then pushed on, remembering her duty.

"I'll just come right out and say it, then. You used pheromones to get me into bed. Ms. Drew as well, I'm assuming."

Diana scanned the younger man's face. He didn't seem taken aback or insulted, nor did he appear guilty. But at the same time, Diana couldn't help but notice the lack of regret or remorse. She continued on, looking the rookie hero straight in the eyes.

"You understand why I might find this alarming, yes?"

"I have some idea." Lance answered simply.

It was only then that Diana noticed that Jessica's kissing had ceased.

"I don't like what you're implying, Diana." The other woman said. Her words came sharp, shocking the Amazon. But her soft touch never wavered, never turned threatening. It was a small relief for the Amazon.

"I'm not implying anything." Diana turned, glancing at Jessica over her shoulder. "I'm stating facts. Lance used his powers to influence the both of us into a sexual tryst."

"That we all

greatly

enjoyed." Jessica hotly insisted. However, her touch remained soft, her hands ghosting smoothly over the swell of Diana's tummy. "And are

still

enjoying."

"That's not the

point.

" Diana closed her eyes and let out a sigh. She pushed out of Jessica's arms - gently so - noting that the other woman let her go without a fuss. The Amazon felt her heart begin to race. There was sweetness in the air again and the heat in her belly was blossoming quickly. She turned and stared her guests down - a concentrated effort to project the image of indomitability.

"Lance... I hope you understand that we can't tell

anyone

about the nature of your powers. Not after last night." Diana silently prayed that the younger man caught the seriousness of her tone. "Superman, Batman, Captain America, Thor... if any of them find out about what you can do, about what we did... do you think they'll be as

understanding

as I am right now?"

Lance Thorne shifted slightly on his feet, his handsome face becoming like stone. His silver eyes seemed like they were glowing, moving from Diana to Jessica to Diana again. The Amazon couldn't keep her own gaze from wandering during the silence. She drank in his body as if for the first time again, observing the taut muscle of his chest, his stomach, so finely hewed - like he was crafted by the gods. Lower still were his perfect, powerful legs. And between them...

Diana drew her eyes back up. She had almost missed the young hero giving her a short nod. The expression on his beautiful face: understanding... and apologetic.

Finally, Jessica seemed to have catched on as well. Diana noted with some mirth that she had drifted to Lance's side.

"Oh. So... you're not mad?" The shorter heroine asked.

"I am

concerned.

"

"About my moral fiber." Lance Thorne guessed.

Correctly.

"I am concerned about many things." Diana clarified, feeling - and cursing - the tiniest blush warming her cheeks. "But no. Not

that.

I have a good sense for those things. You have a heroic heart. I can tell you had no malicious intent towards us. Only desire. I can handle desire."

Diana was perceptive enough to catch the

look

Jessica gave her then. Amusement colored with the smallest flavoring of

schadenfreude

.

I'm sure you can

, was the silent retort written on Jessica's face.

"Then what?" Jessica asked. She was doing little to hide her smirk.

"Of course I'm concerned about word of this...

affair

... spreading. But above all I'm concerned about Lance's pheromones." Diana admitted. She eyed the younger man with her sharp, scrutinizing gaze. "More specifically, the

strength

of them. Jessica, you normally have a strong resistance to that sort of influence due to your own pheromone ability. And I am an Amazon, blessed by the gods to resist such things. His pheromones shouldn't have worked on either of us. And yet here we are. If his pheromones are strong enough to get us into bed, I have to wonder...

do they even wear off?

"

Lance opened his mouth to answer but then stopped. Across his face fell a ruminative look. After a moment, he finally spoke.

"I... actually don't know." Lance confessed. He met Diana's eyes. This time it was he who appeared concerned.

"You don't?" Jessica prodded, her voice carrying a curious tone.

Lance rubbed at his chin, shifting on his feet.

"I've only used them on one other woman besides the two of you. When I escaped-" The next words died on the Titan's tongue. He flashed a look towards Diana then Jessica - a quick look, one that a normal woman would hardly have noticed. But Diana was not a normal woman. And she wanted to know more.

"Escaped from who?" Diana pressed.

Lance Thorne's face grew hard, his jaw tightening. He let out a heavy sigh, his gaze turning to the floor. His frustration was clear... but it lasted only a moment. Acceptance followed after, brightness returning to his silver eyes.

"From HYDRA." Lance finished. Two simple words that cracked through the air like lightning. A thick silence followed.

At least until Jessica broke it.

"Are you bloody joking?" She laughed. The shorter heroine looked more bemused than anything. As for Diana... she was stunned of course - who wouldn't be? But what surprised her the most was that she

wasn't

appalled. In fact, as Lance continued to explain himself, the Princess of the Amazons began to feel

relief.

"No. Not joking." Lance huffed through his nose, beginning to pace. Naked as he was, Diana couldn't help but steal a look at his swinging, bouncing cock. Impressive, even flaccid as it was. The young man's deep, lovely voice broke through again. "HYDRA wanted a living weapon. So they spent a fortune creating me. I was meant to be their trump card, a tool to destroy their enemies. But my blood comes from gods. Here on Earth... and beyond. I knew this, deep in my bones. I wasn't meant to serve mortal men. So I escaped to forge my own path... and follow my own desires."

Diana absorbed his words. At his side, Jessica clung to his muscled arm, entranced by his story... or more likely by his pleasing scent. Spider-Woman was ready to believe anything that came from his mouth. As for Wonder Woman...

"Alright." Diana finally said. "Fine. I believe you."

"Just like that?" The Titan narrowed his eyes. Diana could see the young man was doing his utmost best to not look

too

pleased.

"Your pheromones are very strong." Diana said bluntly, half-joking.

"And you have trustworthy eyes." Jessica hummed sweetly.

Even from where she stood, the man's scent was tingling delightfully in Diana's nostrils. She could only imagine the trance Jessica was in, pressing her naked self into Lance's arms.

There was a haze over Diana's mind. She could not deny it now. But she wouldn't allow it to keep her from her sacred duty. She was Wonder Woman. She had to be responsible.

"All the more reason to propose a test." Diana told Lance - silently praying that her strength carried into her words.

Jessica was humming, giggling as she bounded up onto her tiptoes trying to steal kisses from the younger man. Lance allowed it, though his gaze was fixed on the Amazon.

"I'm listening." He said.

"I believe we should spend some time apart from you." Diana suggested. She gave Jessica a pointed look. "The

both

of us."

Jessica ceased her kisses, dropping back onto her bare feet. She turned, her pretty face marked with bewilderment.

"What?" Her wide eyes danced between Diana and Lance, almost frantic.

"A week at least." Diana continued. "Jessica and I need to know if your pheromones wear off."

"No we don't!" The shorter heroine cried. She tried clinging to Lance's naked chest, but the rookie hero gently pushed her away.

Lance, to Diana's great relief, didn't seem averse or insulted. Even better, he seemed to be considering her plan.

"And if it turns out that they don't?" Lance held Diana's gaze.

The Amazon pursed her lips. She took in slow, steady breaths. The sweetness was still in the air. Every inhale put her more and more under the spell of warmth and comfort. But... was that truly such a bad thing?

"Then I guess it makes whatever the three of us have now that much easier." Diana answered. There was acceptance in her voice. A sense of... finality. And truthfully, it felt good for her to say.

"Alright then. Deal." Lance nodded. Then he grinned. "It's the responsible thing to do."

The warmth in Diana's belly had grown into a heat now. Fire flickered at her insides, fluttering like butterfly wings.

"Right." She breathed.

Between them, Jessica looked at each with pitiful doe eyes.

"But... but a whole

week?

" She pleaded, aghast.

Diana didn't laugh. That would have been rude.

Lance got dressed, pulling on his silver suit. The material clung lovingly to his body, a second skin over every magnificent muscle. Diana was thankful he allowed her and Jessica to watch.

After all... it was the last she and Jessica would see of him for the next seven days.

Seven

long

,

agonizing

days.

Though in truth, it was difficult to decide which of them had it worse. Lance or the two women?

To his credit, the handsome rookie was taking it all in stride. Diana had to appreciate his good temperament.

Once he was fully suited up, they all made the short trip to Diana's balcony. The sun was fully up now and that meant there was heroic work to be done. And Lance would do well to keep busy in their time apart.

"Just be sure to keep Jess happy while I'm gone." He told Diana, flashing the woman in question a smile. Diana had a hand wrapped around Jessica's waist - partly in affection, but mostly to keep the girl from leaping into Lance's arms again. "Looks like she'll need the attention."

"I'll miss you, baby!" Jessica squirmed in Diana's arms - the Amazon could feel her skin practically buzzing with excitement.

Lance smirked and began to rise into the air.

A hybrid god

, Diana mused. He certainly looked the part.

"I'll make it up to you in a week. Both of you." Lance told them. His silver eyes shined bright. "That's a promise."

Then he was gone, shooting across the skyline in a streak of silver.

Jessica whined as she watched him go. But Diana? Diana felt a delightful shiver run down her back. She knew he was telling the truth.

11. The Distraction

The Titan flew on and on. A silver streak shooting through the sky, passing through the steel jungle of Jump City. He could feel the cool, midday wind whipping across his face and through his hair.

Normally, flying so freely brought the young hero feelings of liberation - months out of containment, he would tell himself over and over to never take his freedom for granted. But today was different.

Lance Thorne felt... disappointed. For a man to enjoy the company of Spider-Woman and Wonder Woman together and then lose them both, albeit temporarily... He understood why they needed to take a break. As heroes, it was their duty to be responsible about the possible lasting influence of his pheromones. It was necessary. Lance told himself such over and over again.

No amount of self-assurance could rid him of that yearning he felt twisting deep inside - or the burgeoning hard-on trying to tear free from his super-suit. It was a good thing he'd taken to wearing padding down there. Lance would rather the Titan be known for his heroics than his ample virility.

In any case, Lance needed distractions.

So there he was, scouring Jump City to busy himself. Miles and miles and miles away from Diana and Jessica. Miles away from their brilliant smiles, their glossy lips, their silky hair, their soft skin... smooth and warm under the palms of his hands...

Lance shook his head, muttering under his breath. He flew on, coasting between the glittering towers of downtown Jump City. Down below, he could see cars, buses, and people bustling through the city streets. Sometimes he envied those normal people with their normal lives - they didn't have to deal with having the blood of the gods, both old and new. They didn't have to deal with the godly cravings that came with such godly heritage.

Then... he heard it. His attuned ears caught the sounds of a fierce scuffle - he heard the clash of steel blades and two voices rising in angry shouts - one man, one woman. Down in the guts of the city, they were doing battle. And they were

close.

High in the air, the Titan made a sharp turn, changing direction in the blink of an eye. The wind gusted and boomed around him, shaking the windows of the towers close by. Then... he bolted downward, streaking to the streets below like silver lightning.

The Titan found them quickly. There in the middle of a small city park, just like he heard them, a man and a woman tangled in battle.

The man was masked and armored, painted in orange and dark blue, wielding two longswords of dark steel. He was a tall man, formidable and with clear, deadly presence. The woman still was far more eye-catching.

She was tall as well and flying too, gliding quickly beyond the reach of the man's swings and stabs. Her figure drew Lance's attention first - powerful and feminine, taut muscle and bold curves both garbed in scant wrappings that covered even less than Wonder Woman's battle dress. Lance's eyes roamed in the span of heartbeats, drinking in smooth, flawless orange skin wrapped up in the purple fabric of her attire. There was strength etched onto her body, muscle clear upon her flat stomach, clear in the firmness of her shoulders and arms and her full, rippling thighs. But so too could Lance admire her womanhood. Indeed, this radiant creature was

all woman

. The width of her hips, the fullness of her breasts, the lustrousness of her long, bouncy hair... even her scent... Lance caught it blocks away, feeling the familiar tingle in his nostrils.

He drew closer, driven both by his heroic need to help... and that deeper craving that dwelled in the pit of his immortal soul. Hovering at the edge of the city park, his eyes widened in clarity. He recognized them both.

The mercenary Deathstroke and the heroine from Tamaran, Starfire.

The choice was obvious. His blood, his bones, his whole body demanded action. So the Titan leaped into the fray.

He landed hard, hitting the grassy clearing with enough force to send clumps of soil flying. It was more than enough to get their attention. He stood, the faint silver aura of his cosmic power swirling about him.

"Is this man giving you trouble, miss?" Lance asked, adopting the firm, heroic cadence of the Titan.

The Tamaranean glanced his way with glowing green eyes, still hovering in the air and keeping some distance between herself and Deathstroke.

"He is indeed bothersome, but I have dealt with his kind before." Starfire answered. Her fists glowed green to match her eyes, but burned even brighter. She shot her arms forth, sending a bolt of energy straight at the armored mercenary.

Deathstroke reacted quickly, moving far with far more grace than Lance expected from a man so solidly built and garbed in heavy armor plating. The mercenary flipped back just as Starfire's energy bolt struck the earth. Clumps of burnt soil erupted upwards, outwards - but Lance never lost sight of the masked man. He moved like a shadow through the obstructing cloud of dust, bolting for his target - for the

Titan

, not for Starfire.

There came the flash of steel, blades swung with deadly purpose. But Lance was faster. Where Deathstroke intended to paint the grass with the color red, the Titan was no longer there. He now stood some meters away, arms crossed and smirking.
