I had always wanted to see the beauty of Alaska, but what prompted me to travel there in the dead of winter I'll never know. But what the hell, it ended up being an amazing time! My month long stay was almost up and I still wanted to visit Dutch Harbor. You see I'm a huge fan of the show Deadliest Catch. Watching the men battle the elements, to bring in pots of snow crab just sets my heart pumping. The danger, the agony and the triumph keeps my TV glued to The Discovery Channel every Tuesday night. Ok so, that's exactly what brought me to Alaska in January, well that and I couldn't get away from my job in October, for Red King Crab season.
So that's how I found myself hanging out at the Unisea Sports Bar watching the boats getting ready to head out into the Bering Sea the next day, when in walks none other than Captains Johnathon and Andy Hillstrand, of the Time Bandit. Both brothers are incredibly handsome, but Johnathon, with his bad boy looks really gets me going. What can I say, I like 'em tall, dark and handsome! And at over 6" I imagined, long dark hair and rugged build, Johnathon certainly fit the bill. I happened to catch his eye as they walked in, and gave him a small smile. He was the first person from the show that I had seen up close while I had been there. And he was now headed my way. It took them about five minutes to get from the door to the bar where I sat, as every few feet someone would stop to shake hands, chat or give them a pat on the back. I had heard about the rescue and amazing haul they had during Red Crab season so I wasn't surprised.
"Are these seats taken?" Johnathon asked, laying his hand on my shoulder.
"Nope, they're all yours." I told him setting my Budweiser on the bar.
"Johnathon Hillstrand, I don't think I've seen you around before?"
"Leigh Martin and you must be Captain Andy? I'm from Seattle actually. I'm on vacation." I said to them as they sat down. I was a little surprised when both men started to laugh.
"Vacation? In Alaska . . . in January? Don't most people head south on vacation in winter?" Johnathon asked as he picked up the beer that the bartender set in front of him.
"Well I suppose that most people do, but I like to play by my own rules." I said giving him a saucy wink. "I've always wanted to visit Alaska and this was actually the only time I could get away from my job long enough to do it right."
"Good answer. I'm sorry, we shouldn't have laughed at you." Andy said leaning around his brother to look at me.
"Hey don't worry about it, you aren't the first people to laugh at me when I told them where I was going. But I'm loving it here. Dutch Harbor is really a neat place, it's so lively right now."
"It won't be too lively tomorrow." Andy said with a little bit of sadness in his voice.
"I heard that Opie season starts tomorrow. I wish you guys the best of luck and a safe trip." I told him raising my bottle in a silent salute. "So is tonight all about taking it easy, for you guys?"
"Taking it easy, hell no! We gotta play hard and get loud one more time before we get down to business. " Johnathon said raising his voice loud enough to be heard across the bar. He smiled at me as the cheers went up around the bar. "The Time Bandit works hard when we're on the water, but baby, we play just as hard when we're on dry land." He said, looking at me in a way that had me wondering just how hard these boys liked to play. "As a matter of fact we're having a little shindig on deck tonight to start the season right, how'd you like to join us? What d'ya say Andy, do you think we could squeeze another pretty little girl onto the deck tonight."
"Well she's just a little slip of a thing, I bet we could find a spot for her." Andy said with a tip of the white Stetson that seemed almost out of place here in Alaska, but suited Andy to a T.
"So what d'ya say, wanna come party Time Bandit style." Johnathon asked as he pushed away from the bar.
"Lead the way, Captains! What better way to end my vacation than partying with a bunch of handsome fishermen." I said as I shrugged my black leather jacket over my navy blue turtle neck sweater. Johnathon took my arm as the 3 of us made our way out of the bar and across the port to where the Time Bandit lay in wait. The wind howled and sent tiny tendrils of the falling snow under the collar of my sweater. I was really glad I had chosen the warm sweater over any of the other items in my suitcase. Not only was it really warm, but I knew it fit snugly across my ample chest showing off my tits temptingly. I shivered a little as a large snowflake hit me, and slid down behind my ear.
"She's just over here. Only a few more minutes and you can warm back up. And you wanted to vacation here?" He asked again, a deep rumbling laughter coming from his sexy mouth.
"Oh wow!" Was all I could think to say as I found myself standing along side the 100 plus foot vessel.
"She's gorgeous isn't she?" Andy said as he easily jumped over the rail and onto the deck of his boat. Leaning back over the side he reached for my hand. Noticing my hesitation, as I peered into the blackness separating the pier and the deck, he smiled. "I promise little lady, the Bering Sea won't be claiming you tonight." He gave me a wink as he grabbed my hand.
"It's real easy, don't think about it and just jump." Johnathon told me as he leaned in close.
I tossed my auburn hair over my shoulder to look him in the eye. I dropped my voice to a whisper as I took in the masculine scent that was a little bit cologne, a little bit beer and a whole lot of Bering Sea air. "The sea may not claim me, but what about you?" I smiled at the wide eyed response I got just before I jumped across the chasm onto the rolling deck of the Time Bandit. Johnathon followed a second after me, I could tell he was about to say something, but he was interrupted by the raucous shouts and laughter coming from the wheelhouse.
