"Hold on, what did you say the name was?" Javier asked, shaking his head as if he didn't hear clearly what his boss just said. He was back at Lori's office after the day he was introduced in her live stream, and the reason she summoned him was that she wanted to give him a look into the application she and the company are using.
"It's called Tryst. We tried to come up with some clever names but we thought this one literally describes what we do." Lori said as she handed him her phone.
Javier looked at her profile with the picture of her smiling at the camera, and next to her profile pic was the description of her account, such as her full name, her age, her marital status. However, most of the posts she had on her page were pictures of her in swimsuits or lingerie, she even had her twerking videos which he couldn't help but watch some of them.
"So... is this like a social network or a dating app?" Javier inquired as he looked at the comments and likes she gained, and noticed most of her followers are females, probably they're her employees who have sexual fantasies for their boss.
"That could be both, as a matter of fact. Here, let me explain." Lori took her phone back and typed the logo of a heart on the menu. "While you can look into other people's posts to leave a comment or leave a like, you can also look for a partner you're interested to have contacts with, and if you both have a match, you can exchange some messages in private." She showed the screen to him and swiped left so Javier could look at the available users.
"What if I ran into a catfish though?" Javier raised an eyebrow, expressing his doubts after he watched some profile pics of hot women and good-looking men.
"You don't have to worry about that at all." Belle, the secretary, answered with a giggle as she was standing next to her boss. "The companies created a meticulous precaution to avoid dealing with this problem. To gain access to the app, you must have a code that can be delivered by an admin."
"Also you just have to pass some authenticity tests like showing your face and ID, but we'll talk about that later. But here's my favorite part of this site. If you and your partner will agree to meet in person, for an affordable fee, you'll gain some Heart Experience rate that will depend on the quality of your services. If you have a high rate of Heart Experience, the more chances you'll get a new client, including me~" Lori winked at him.
Javier blushed as he couldn't help but think at the idea of Lori being his favorite client. He cleared his throat as he knew this wasn't the right time to be lost in dirty thoughts. "Alright, so this is where I'm gonna start. Where can I get the code to join this app?"
"Not so fast, cowboy." Lori chuckled while waving her hand. "Before you start creating a new profile for this app, you need to get a medical check up. It's necessary to make sure you're 100% clean before you begin your sexual encounters with your clients."
"Yeah, I can't argue with that." Javier nodded in agreement, though he couldn't help but worry at the fact that he and Lori did have unprotected sex together. It raised some concerns for him to wonder if either of them catched any venereal disease and who knows if the medical inspection would find something in his system. But it's better to find out sooner than later. "So where can I get that test?"
"It's funny you mention that, 'cause I have a sister who's working at the labs for our company, but she's also taking care of the health of our employees." Lori pulled a business card out of the pocket and handed it to Javier. "And let me tell you, she's the most brilliant and smartest girl our world could ever have. So I can assure you she's gonna help you with anything you need."
Looking at the business card, Javier saw the name of 'Green Science Lab' imprinted on it, and under the name of the place was another name that goes by 'Dr. Lisa Loud'. "Hmm, sounds like a very interesting person. Alright, I better get going then. Thanks for the card, Lori." He stood up and turned around to leave the office.
"Oh and before I forget." Lori called out as Javier stopped his tracks. "I have to tell you that my sister can get a little carried away with her job. So if something happens, please do not hesitate to let me know."
Javier was left puzzled as he was starting to think that Lori was trying to warn him that her sister might be the type that creates chaos with science. He found that hard to believe, but if Lori was right, then maybe he should try to be careful.
Javier parked his car in the parking lot of the address that Lori had given him. He looked out through the windscreen at the humble clinic. It was a small gravel stone building, no more than three stories tall with a large sign by the entrance that read 'Green Clinic Labs'. He'd sort of expected there to be some high end laboratory if Lori's home was anything to go by, but the place looked like the kind of clinic a normal city would have. Nevertheless, he walked through the parking lot before reaching the door, wondering if he was at the right place.
As soon as Javier entered the clinic, he was met with a simple and quite cozy waiting room. It was a large white room with pictures of beaches, old black and white pier park rides like those one would see of Coney Island, marvelous landscapes and such. There were three couches, each leaning against a wall of the waiting room, gathered around a long cozy coffee table with magazines on top of it. He spotted two water coolers on the corners of the waiting room with hot and cold settings. The air was smooth and gave the waiting room a very nice and temperate feel to it, relaxing almost.
"Hello."
Javier turned to his right where he saw a beautiful young woman sitting behind a desk. She smiled like a child looking at a brand new toy with wonder with her brown eyes. She had light caramel skin with dark brown hair that reached down to her shoulders, if not a little past them. She wore a light green top that showed off her shoulders and a good chunk of her cleavage and her belly button. She had tight jeans with a white belt around her waist that seemed to make her curves look all the more delectable. If anything, she was what Javier thought Lori would've looked like a few years ago with a few less curves.
"Um, hi, my name is Javier Martinez," Javier introduced himself. "I'm looking for Dr. Lisa Loud."
"Oh, you're here to see my BFF Lisa! I'm Darcy Helmandollar, nice to meet you!." Darcy stood up and shook Javier's hand with enthusiasm. "Please, follow me this way." She led Javier past the other rooms until they reached an elevator door. "She usually stays in the lab most of the day, but I manage to wrangle her out for some fun and much needed food after a while." Darcy pressed the button with the arrow pointed downwards.
The door opened up and Javier and Darcy stepped inside. She turned to the floor buttons and pressed one. Javier looked over her shoulder only to notice that there was a button for a lower level. The elevator started going down much to Javier's surprise. They stayed in silence as the elevator went down. And kept going. And going. And going.
"So... How low does this thing go?" Javier asked almost nervously as he could feel like they're going further away from the surface.
"Oh, probably should've mentioned that. Lisa likes her privacy unless she has to meet clients from the service, so she works in her lab underneath the clinic." Darcy waved off as though it were no big deal. "And I gotta say, you look way more like her type than the last few~. Though she doesn't really say what her type is. Guess she just has to take an interest in you. I certainly did when I saw you just now."
"T-Thanks... I guess," Javier replied as the elevator stopped.
"Here we are. You'll find Lisa all the way down the corridor in front of the big computer." Darcy explained as the doors opened and Javier stepped out. "Also, don't touch any red buttons. Or mess with the clones. Or-"
Darcy was caught off by the closing door, which was enough to freak Javier out a bit. He took the chance to look at the lab, and realized that he might have been transported to the future.
The lab was as big as an industrial warehouse and it was filled to the brim with advanced technology. He could see tesla coils shooting off lightning on one side of the laboratory, while on the other he saw treatment plants that were performing strange chemical reactions that he couldn't understand. Advanced machines worked on their chores, either looking into possible future outcomes and probabilities or working on solving problems that were happening all around the world. The dark blue lab with bright flashing lights reminded him of sci-fi movies that depicted strange machines that were meant to be as advanced as they were intimidating. Javier walked down the path, passing by mirrors that gazed into parallel worlds and reflected different variations of him. He walked past strange items that looked to be in suspended animation, including a singing fox toy, a wooden ventriloquist doll, and a strange-looking calculator watch. His eyes caught sight of a large intimidating screen that seemed to show different graphs and pie charts that changed as someone clacked away at a keyboard at a lightning speed.
Javier's eyes landed on the figure at the bottom of the screen, who just stopped typing the keyboard and turned their head over the shoulder, showing a gleam of her round glasses.
"So, you're Lori's latest acquisition?" The figure said with a female voice.
"Y-Yeah, and you must be her sister? Dr. Lisa Loud?" Javier replied, trying to not be overwhelmed at the fact that he was standing in a massive lab like it was straight out of a sci-fi film.
"Precisely. My elder sibling gave me the call to notify me that you would come." Lisa turned around to face him, revealing to be a geeky-looking young woman with short brown hair that's cut in pixie style and fair skin. She wore a green sweater and a pair of dark slacks fastened with a belt underneath her white cloak and a pair of leather gloves. However, even though she looked like a nerd, she had what some would call a pear-shaped body, consisting of full round breasts, thick thighs and a slender waist.
"Yeah, my name's Javier." Javier reached for a handshake, which Lisa accepted politely. "Lori told me to come to meet you for the medical checkup, but she didn't mention about a secret underground lab."
"Well, while you're not technically wrong, I would prefer to call it as... Hub Of Ultimate Science Entrepreneurship or H.O.U.S.E for short." Lisa replied with a nonchalant shrug. "Nevertheless, this workplace is still part of the clinic building above. I trust you'd keep this discreet from now on."
"Sure, I'm okay with that."Javier nodded in understanding, but then he heard something beeping behind him before he turned around and saw a robot standing behind him with its eyes flashing in red. "Whoa, what the!"
