"Why couldn't we just stay at the Temple?"
Sarla sat across from Chi-Ji, crossing her arms beneath her oversized bust. "I feel like everyone here keeps staring at us. While I may be typically fond of such attention - I am, after all, quite stunning - I feel like we shouldn't be so... out in the open."
The Golden Lantern inn was as busy as it had ever been and, with the truce between the factions, members of the Horde were now permitted access. Despite the crowd, eyes were drawn to the six that sat seated around the small table near at the far end of the establishment, nursing tea and ale.
"We do make for a visually interesting group, I will admit," replied Chi-Ji, taking a sip of his tea. The Celestial sat cross-legged on a cushion, dressed in a long, flowing robe of white mixed with accents of a fiery orange. Still in his androgynous humanoid form, he continued: "The reason we have come here, dear Sarla, is due to the Vale being one of the safest places in Pandaria. Such a sanctuary offers us time enough to plan our next move. The Sha of Lust has not been fully defeated yet. As such, my Temple may not be the safest place for us to linger in."
Sarla's red-painted lips pressed into a thin line as she considered no words. She offered no retort, nodding slightly before taking a deeper swig of her wine.
Ashe shifted uncomfortably on her large cushion, her behemoth she-prick's outline quite visible even under the voluminous grey robes she'd been given. "That
does
make sense. Still, I feel exposed."
Elaina had, for her part, not spoken a word since they'd arrived. Ever the rogue, her eyes subtly scanned their surroundings for potential foes and escape routes, making sure to catalogue every face, door and staircase her emerald eyes could spot.
Behind her, Jiayi nodded. "The Blue Hare monastery would welcome us. It is quite some distance away, however..."
Chi-Ji placed his cup down with deliberate care, closing his eyes for a moment. Despite being in his humanoid form, every one of his words and actions remained graceful, composed. He was serenity personified.
"With the Lust-Cult's leader now in Shado-Pan custody, we have been granted a rare opportunity," he explained. "We should not strike out blindly, however. It lurks still upon the continent. It will strike again if given the chance to do so," he said, eyeing Ashe for a brief moment.
Zranda, who had taken the form of a plain-looking human woman to avoid attention, spoke up. "I can sense it. Searching. Losing so many of its cult has weakened it considerably, but it is gathering strength..."
Sarla's eyes lit up with curiosity. "Intriguing! So, you still have a connection to it."
"Faint, but yes," the Sha-ling confirmed.
"Not so fascinating when you're the one it's after," Ashe reminded her.
"Too bad the Titan below the Vale was killed during the Siege," Elaina remarked. "Might have been a decent way to help purge Ashe."
Chi-Ji's serene expression faltered for a moment at the mention of the titanic watcher. "The death of Norushen was indeed tragic. However, not all was lost in Garrosh's folly. With the Heart of Y'Shaarj gone, and with N'Zoth gone, there may yet be hope. Paths now lay before us that had previously been closed."
"What do you propose?" Ashe asked, fingers drumming impatiently at the edge of the table. The Draenei had not blown a load in over twelve hours, and even glancing in the general direction of
any
of her companions brought on a stirring in her loins she desperately wished to avoid.
She felt like a dream dust addict desperate for her next dose. Every part of her
screamed
for release.
Chi-Ji, however, had forbidden her from giving in to her lusts, lest they draw out the Sha in such a populated area.
"The waters beneath the Vale. Those purified during the events we speak of..."
Jiayi's eyes lit up suddenly. "That's it!" she said, pounding her fist. "We draw the Sha out there, beneath the Vale. It's where the Sha of Pride was defeated, and where we may yet defeat the Sha of Lust."
"But they had an
army
to destroy the Sha of Lust. We have... well... No offense, but we're no army," Sarla said, unconvinced by their plan.
"The monks of the Blue Hare have developed, over the millennia, techniques to battle lust, turning it into a more positive emotion. Our teachings state that lust and desire are not inherently corrupt. Same with any of the emotions of the Sha. Without these, no mortal race would survive," the pandaren explained. "It is through overindulgence or suppression that lust becomes dangerous."
Zranda nodded. "Balance in all things, yes. It is how I yet retain control of my own actions."
Chi-Ji glanced to the large, ornate door at the other end of the building. Day was rapidly fading into dusk. "Jiayi, how quickly can you reach your order? Their assistance would be quite valuable."
"Two days, depending on how many Hozen I run across," she replied with a grin.
"Very well. We should all rest. Jiayi can leave on the morrow to gather allies while we prepare for the battle to come."
Ashe could barely hide her relief at the suggestion, for her discomfort had been growing with every passing moment. Slowly, she stood, her robes doing little to hide that gigantic, swinging appendage between her thighs.
"The innkeeper has managed to find rooms for us upstairs," Chi-Ji explained, rising gracefully from his cushion, his own considerable endowment drawing the gazes of all those present. "The inn is quite full tonight, but I have arranged for our needs."
