Miami, Florida

A camera flashed, briefly lighting the dark corners of the wall outside. Plants covered the black fence posts with tall leaves hovering over a wooden walkway to offer shade. The leaves were in Rowan patterns, extending halfway to the fence. It was directly in the way for anyone trying to walk across the boards. They had been elevated previously a year ago in an effort to protect the plants during the spring season. Other plants were growing next to them, buried in small peddles. A rose had yet to bloom, with only the twig poking out from the tiny rocks. The space had become a personal garden for photographer Troy Austin. His Coconut Grove mansion made the perfect space for photo sessions far away from home. He stood behind the camera mounted on a tripod and zoomed in to a woman sitting under the leaves that blocked much of the sunlight from beaming down on her face.

A pair of brown eyes gazed back into the camera, matching the curly brunette locks of hair pushed behind her ears. Her pink lips were open slightly to reveal her teeth barred in what was a classic pose for the photographers who knew her. The view of the camera lens tilted downward slightly. Troy zoomed in, making sure he captured a perfect view of her heavy cleavage. It wasn't an everyday occurrence to spend his time snapping pictures of Lucy Pinder. The British Queen of Glamour had taken a trip to Florida to meet with her handpicked American photographers. Troy was one of the lucky ones who met Lucy over a decade ago, back when she was a regular in Nuts magazine. She liked to tease him about the fact he was one of the few 'yanks' in the office, as he was called. The term made Troy blush years ago, but not so much these days with a family at home.

After the glamour industry collapsed, he moved to Miami, where he picked up where his job left off with freelance work. That soon shifted into a full-time job with an agency connected to local fashion shows. His appearance had changed since the last time Lucy had seen him. Gone was the clean shaved face as he now sported a short beard of black hair matching his head. The wedding ring on his left hand told her that he was off limits despite the man inviting her into his lavish home. Lucy raised her right arm as she smirked at the camera. Her skin was pale, unlike Troy, who was proudly sporting a Florida tan. She struck a pose with her arm flexing outward and folding at the elbow. This was done solely to show off the new inked art of a highly detailed flower inside her arm. Another tattoo of a black vine with leaves covered her wrist.

Her world-famous, natural breasts were hidden from the camera, snugly fit into the red one-piece swimsuit. It was a tame outfit. Lucy boasted that they were bigger now than her prime years at a jaw dropping G cup. Troy didn't argue with her claim. The tight swimsuit told the story as the straps over her shoulders looked barely contained. Lucy didn't wear much makeup compared to her glory days. The black eyeliner and mascara were gone, giving her more of a simple look to compliment her natural beauty. She could've easily made more money by shooting topless, but for her, those days were in the past. It was her choice to keep her photo shoots more tame and focused on beauty, opposed to the raunchy style of lads mags. Her new FansOnly profile was the true motivating factor for this trip. Lucy tried to convince herself this wasn't about the money. She was going for one last run as a victory lap. A solid reminder of who was the most famous glamour model in England a decade prior.

Lucy had once said that she would model as long as Kelly Brook did. It was a quote that came and went, but one she had not forgotten. She broke her promise upon retiring with the industry in shambles. Lucy took pride in claims she heard over the years that her own career bookended the height of glamour modeling and ended with it. Troy was there when he shot the cover image for Nuts Magazine's final issue. Nine years had passed since that somber day where Lucy stood with a single teardrop running down her face. Life changed over time, leaving everyone with a taste of nostalgia. She thought she could forget about her past until she bumped into Kelly again last month. The two women enjoyed a friendly rivalry in the past. Lucy had not thought of Kelly much, figuring they were both retired from modeling until seeing her again at a party.

Kelly returned to London with stories about her time spent in Miami. Despite her status of fame above Lucy, they still gossiped in social circles that overlapped. They knew the same people, making it easier for Kelly's stories to eventually reach Lucy's ears. The tales of Lori and her son Daniel remained fresh in Lucy's mind when she first heard them. Kelly didn't tell her directly to her face about the young man. The story went around several female friends before it reached Lucy. By that point, she was slightly embarrassed to think of people whispering behind closed doors about Kelly's sexual conquest. The only detail that mattered was that Lucy was his first crush and Kelly took his virginity. She knew it would drive Lucy crazy, bringing back memories of another time when they competed over a man. Once she found out that Daniel was Lori's son, Lucy had second thoughts.

Lori was the only one who could get in contact with photographers from back in the day. Lucy learned of this harsh truth when she first approached Troy on social media. He only worked with contracts arranged and approved by someone who could guarantee a decent paycheck. Lucy didn't have the best history with Lori. She remembered the woman for how cutthroat she could be as an agent and fixer of deals. Lori never forgot when someone turned down an offer. She would find ways to punish their disloyalty by charging higher rates. She lived up to her cold reputation by making Lucy pay for the trip on her own dime. It was worth it just to do a photo shoot with Troy. He was one of the few photographers who left a solid impression on Lucy from back in the day. Besides him, she had other reasons for venturing off to Florida that were unrelated to business.

"Do you want to switch things up with a new outfit?"

Lucy shook her head. The swimsuit was her final outfit of the day after changing out of a black lingerie set. She stood up, fixing her hair with both hands as Troy watched.

"I think we've done enough for the day."

He nodded, giving her a look that made Lucy expect a joke about a few topless photos. Troy didn't mention it. He turned off his camera and watched as she walked back to the house. Everything was about business with Lucy, as opposed to the past, where she was more personal with him. Troy figured that had to do with his status as a married man. Lucy didn't always flirt with her photographers, but he was one of the few. The teasing didn't go further than sharing drinks at the pub. Lucy remembered the times they shared drinks. She viewed Troy as a nice fellow, but not her type of man. After changing clothes in the bathroom, she packed her outfits into a large black leather handbag she brought along. A pair of blue jeans and a black shirt covering her busty chest made up her casual wear on this trip. As she walked down the hall, Troy spoke to her.

"Leaving so soon, Lucy?"

"Yeah, I need to get back to my hotel."

Her strong English accent came out the opposite of Troy's American voice. Despite the years he spent in Britain, his voice never changed. He smiled before turning around to walk towards the front door.

"Well then, the least I can do is walk you out."

"Always the gentleman, dear."

She teased in her choice of words. As Lucy walked the hall, her eyes wandered to the hanging picture frames. All of them were pictures protected by glass except one large piece of art held in a wooden frame. Lucy stopped to gaze into the blue lines of the painting. The colors were bright with the scent of oil long washed over. All lines led to a lighthouse painted in red and white. A speck of yellow made the light while the blue lines blended the night sky and waves below.

"You like the painting?"

"Yes, it's quite beautiful. Where did you find this?"

"Lori's son sold it to me for a grand. He probably could've gotten more than that selling to someone else, but I'm not complaining."

Lucy turned to make eye contact with Troy.

"Her son makes art?"

"Yeah. He's been selling them for a few weeks now. He moved out and set up his own little studio in an apartment."

Until now, Lucy didn't know how she would get in contact with Lori's son. At the heart of this trip, she was hoping to meet him after all the loud rumors Kelly shared. That was her driving motivation more than creating content for her FansOnly profile.

"He sells his work online if you're interested."

Troy's statement prevented her from becoming distracted. Lucy nodded, quick to reply.

"Does he have a website?"

"No, he posts everything on Instagram. I can text you his name."

"That would be lovely. Please do so, Troy."

Hurrying to the door, she gave him one last smile.

"Sorry I'm in a rush, but I must get going."

Troy gave her a nod.

"It was great to shoot with you again, Lucy."

"It was a pleasure, just like old times."

"I'll call you when the photos are developed and email you the digital ones."

"Thank you again, Troy. I hope you have a wonderful day."

5 HOURS LATER

The sun was beginning to fall into the waters. The blue sky had faded into a hue of orange and yellow. Miami sunsets looked so much better when viewed from a tall window in an apartment across town. Dan had grown to enjoy the scenery now that he was able to witness it from the seventeenth floor of an apartment complex in Brickell. Living alone proved to work wonders on his own mental health and self-esteem now that he didn't have his mother watching over his shoulder at any given time. Room service maids never made remarks about how dirty his rooms were when they came and went for house cleaning. The scent of oil was always strong near the glass wall of windows that Dan treated as his personal studio space. Sunlight made a serious difference in seeing the finer details on a canvas.

The wooden easel sat in the corner, occupied with a large white canvas that was halfway filled with color. Several printed photos were taped on the wall close by, all of them different pictures of Kelly Brook from over the years. After the date they had, Kelly became Dan's on and off again girlfriend. When she was in Miami, she called him up for the usual romps. He didn't believe the relationship would lead anywhere longterm since she didn't invite him to go back home to England with her. There were aspects of the old country that Dan missed over time, but he didn't want to venture back alone. Kelly kept a distance, as if to prevent their relationship from developing beyond the casual hookups and dirty romps. He couldn't complain since he was living the dream of bedding one of the most beautiful women in the world.

With Kelly gone for extended periods of time, Dan took it upon himself to go out and enjoy himself in town. Miami was a fun town. He was hoping to eventually get a big break in the local scene with an art exhibit. It would've been easy to ask his mother for a few favors to throw some money around, but he chose against it. Out on his own, he had something to prove with his own name. His paintings were selling online. Dan believed that eventually the right person would come along and open the door for his dream exhibit. He had one connection with a local friend by the name of Brett. He was another young man looking for something to do with life. Dan met him at a bar, where the two picked up in a conversation about drawing. Brett was a jock former. A former college football player who flamed out after multiple injuries to his right knee completely derailed his hopes for a career in the NFL.

The two men had been texting over the past few days. Brett worked as a security guard at a mall close by in Miami. The problems with his knee didn't prevent him from staying in shape. At six feet tall, he had a physical appearance that was intimidating for his size alone. His face was always clean shaved to go with his short blonde hair and blue eyes. When he wasn't working, Brett spent his time drawing and trying to sell his art online alongside Dan. Brett's approach was in comic style with a slight level of caricatures to make humorous approach in his details. He earned a few hundred dollars by commissions, whereas Dan's influence in Van Gogh proved to be more profitable. Every weekend the two men would hang out. Dan introduced Brett to Kelly, and that was his way of teaching a yank about British glamour modeling.

Brett was fascinated with the lads mags of yesterday. Dan was just happy to have another friend to bond with and share this knowledge with. In due time, Brett started buying old copies of Nuts, Loaded, and Zoo magazines online. The models served as inspiration for his comic characters. Dan encouraged Brett to post his drawings online in hopes of catching the attention of writers who could turn the girls into characters. In the mean time, he focused on his own paintings. His eyes scanned his current work, looking over the lines he had done to draw Kelly's voluptuous figure. No colors had filled the blank areas yet. Dan was more worried about the features on her face and the accuracy of her megawatt smile. It had to be perfect. Every tooth, the curve of her lips, and the look in her eyes. He stood shirtless, raising his left hand below his face as he studied the current state of his latest work.

Another day would need to be spent with black ink to make the finer details. As Dan made a mental note to himself, he heard the text notification sound on his phone echoing from the bedroom. It was most likely Brett texting him or even his mother. Dan sighed, but welcomed the distraction to get his mind off the canvas. Sometimes he couldn't pull himself away from his work and would become obsessed with seeking perfection. He wandered to the bedroom, where his phone sat on the glass desk where his laptop was. Upon picking it up, Dan saw that the notification was not a message and instead for Instagram. It was probably someone inquiring about a commission after looking over his profile. When he opened the messages, his eyes became enlarged as he saw who had typed the message. The sudden shock made him drop his phone and look a second time to make sure his eyes weren't deceiving him.

'Hello Dan, this is Lucy Pinder. A little birdie told me that you're selling paintings. I saw one of your works in person today, and it was astounding. I'm curious if you're currently working on anything.'

Her name alone made his blood pressure rise. Lucy was his first crush. Dan tried to convince himself to forget about her while dating Kelly, and now she was reaching out to him. He grabbed the phone and began quickly pressing his thumbs on the screen to type up a quick message.

'Hi Lucy, big fan. I'm always working on art. Are you looking to get something custom? I would be honored to do something for you.'

Not much thought was put into his words. Dan reacted out of pure emotion at the possibility of meeting her. He clutched the phone in his hand, eagerly hoping she would reply in the following minutes. As he wandered off to the bathroom, Dan looked at his face in the mirror. A slight five o'clock shadow had formed after two days of not shaving. His short hair was unkept. Dan ignored his reflection as he awaited Lucy's reply. It had only been a few minutes, but the ticking seconds felt like hours passing by. Out of desperation and panic, he grabbed his phone and typed a new message. Dan didn't think twice about punching in his phone number into a message. He hit send and placed the phone on the counter near the sink. Letting out a sigh, he stepped out of the bathroom. As he walked through his bedroom, the phone began ringing. Dan raced through the doorway to pick it up and answer.

"Hello!?"

"Hey man, how's the day been?"

The voice belonged to Brett. Dan was disappointed it wasn't her.

"Hey, I'm waiting on someone to call me right now."

"Oh, you are? Did I call at a bad time?"

"Sorta."

"Who is it? I guess Kelly is back in town, huh?"

"No, not her. Someone else contacted me on Instagram today."

"Oh yeah? Who was it?"

"Lucy Pinder."

Brett gasped.

"For real!?"

"Yes, for real! I'm waiting on her to call."

"Oh man, I can't fucking believe this. She has the best big titties ever! You gotta tell her that! I've drawn so many characters based on her. I've never seen a better pair of boobs, I swear to fucking god, man. Make sure you tell her about me!"

Swallowing his breath, Dan felt slightly embarrassed by Brett's bragging.

"Yeah, yeah! Sure! I gotta let you go, I can't miss this call."

"Got it. I wouldn't want to miss that call either!"

He hung up, leaving Dan with the phone in his hand. It wasn't a wise choice to blabber about Lucy to his friend, but Dan figured he could worry about that later. He sat down on the toilet, only to rise up within a second as the phone went off, ringing again. This time he looked at the screen to see an unknown number. It had to be her calling.

"Hello? Is this Lucy Pinder I'm speaking with?"

"As a matter of fact, yes it is!"

Dan gasped when he heard the sound of Lucy's voice confirming his question.

"I can't believe I'm talking to you right now. You'll have to forgive me if I sound a little star struck."

"Oh, no. There's no need for that. I'm not someone famous or important."

"Uhhh, you can say that, but you're still famous if you ask me."

She giggled into the phone.

"How flattering."

"So you were interested in my art?"

"Yes! Do you have anything I can see in person besides what you've posted on Instagram?"

Thinking to himself, Dan knew his collection was currently bare. He had nothing except for the unfinished portrait of Kelly. He knew better than to admit that to Lucy, as he quickly thought of a way to impress her.

"Yeah, I've got something that might interest you that I haven't taken any pictures of. If I showed you, then you'd be the first person to see it."

"That sounds lovely. Do you think I can visit you anytime soon?"

He swallowed his breath, still thinking. Dan had already managed to lie himself into this, so he had to quickly shift gears. Just hearing Lucy of all women asking to visit him had only made him more excited. That emotion was the only thing preventing him from panic.

"Are you in Miami?"

"Yes. Are you free tomorrow, Dan?"

"Yeah. Do you know where I'm staying?"

"No. You'll have to tell me that if you really want me to come over and see you."

Dan smiled wide at her words, blushing. He was relieved they were on the phone, and she couldn't see the silly look on his face.

"I can text you. I'm in an apartment on Brickell. What are you in Miami for, if you don't mind me asking? I doubt you came all this way due to my art."

"I'm doing photoshoots out here. Your mother helped get in touch with some old friends I used to work with."

"Does that mean you're modeling again?"

"Yes, I'm back in the saddle. Did you know I have a FansOnly page?"

"No, I didn't. Oh man, I know what I'll be looking at tonight."

Lucy laughed at him over the phone.

"Well then, I hope you find something that you like if you do sign up."

"I will, no question about that!"
